I have brought the list across, fluffed the cushions and put some nice tea to brew. I baked muffins and biscuits too, help yourselves.

I've got to write 1000 words tonight about classroom organisation. It's going to be sooo boring. I hope there's lots of gossiping here so I can dip in and out...or just in and avoid doing some work...

piper1984 · 10/02/2008 18:31

Ok ladies, i'm back from my shopping armed with two tesco brand hpt {wanted first response or cb but they just had their own brand} i'm mad to test now but think i should wait until the morning.......

Hi TF,
yeah i'm a little bit late now, was wondering tho, I normally ov on cd 19 but this month on clomid it was cd 15, so if i ov early does that mean that AF should be early too???

Ei
Where are you?????? getting worried now??? really hope AF has stayed away

Piper test now!! If you're going to get a BFP then you wil prob get one tonight..how many days PO are u? And, if you get BFN you have another 1 to test again tomorrow. I'm such a bad influence but i've done over 500 words of assignment already!

loveverona · 10/02/2008 19:00

Hi everyone. This is all VERY exciting! Please test tonight Piper- the suspense is killing me. Can't remember when AF is due but with my last pregnancy I tested the night before I was due and got a BFP. If you can wait until tomorrow morning you're a better woman than I am!

kate2179 · 10/02/2008 19:05

Aaaaaarrrrggghhhhhhh!! I can't take the strain! JUST TEST!!!! (no pressure!)Really hoping for BPFs for you both.

Welcome newbies mentalpup loveverona and moonlit This is THE place for bpf's, hope yours don't keep you waiting for too long!

Mrsei can't believe you can get a 3D scan for £70! They're £120 round here!! Think I'd better check where you live, it'd probably be cheaper to travel to you for a test! The nuchal would be cheaper without the blood tests but I figure if I'm going to have a test (please god I get that far this time) I might as well make sure it's as accurate as possible! Think one of the 3 hospitals down here might give me a 12 week scan but as my (resoundingly negative) GP doesn't want me to book in with the midwife until after my next scan I'm worried that even if they would do it they'll be booked up IYSWIM. TBH it will be really nice to speak to a consultant anyway, and have heard v good things about one of them so fingers crossed...

another ramble...

kate2179 · 10/02/2008 19:07

PS Piper I got a bfp on a tescos cheapie 11DPO mid afternoon even though they say not to use them til you're actually late... DO IT!!!!

SparklyMummy · 10/02/2008 19:10

That is v cheap for a 3d scan. When we looked at them they were around £200.

piper1984 · 10/02/2008 19:12

Hi Sparklymummy No gonna do it first thing in the morning, if i tested this evening and got BFN then i'd prob convince myself that there was still a chance and i should have used a early morning sample, but if i just use an early morning sample then i'll know for sure either way (sorry i rambling now )

i'm 17 days PO now,

piper1984 · 10/02/2008 19:14

Aaaaaagh you are all tempting me now, will have to get DH to hide hpt till morning

SparklyMummy · 10/02/2008 19:21

You should get an accurate result 17DPO whether you use your FMU or not. How can you be so strong?

Moonlit · 10/02/2008 19:27

This so exciting .

Pipper1984 you have amazing will power! Good luck!

x

piper1984 · 10/02/2008 19:28

Ok ladies, just did a test and got a BFN the temptation got too much!!!! thing is tho i really dont think i used enough wee (sorry way too much info!!!) thought i needed to go but only a tiny dribble came out (again sorry TMI), now i very confused

kate2179 · 10/02/2008 19:30

Piper my only tip with the tescos tests would be (ahem...) to pee in a pot then dip the test in the pot rather than pee on the stick... For my first one this time I used a yoghurt pot (which I cleaned thoroughly first...) Was so paranoid about doing it right I even used the countdown timer on my phone to count 10 seconds!

kate2179 · 10/02/2008 19:32

piper so sorry about bfn, crossed posts, but maybe that just proves my point (from my last message) Fingers crossed it's better news tomorrow xx

piper1984 · 10/02/2008 19:36

Thanks Kate

Think i will try the yoghurt pot thing tomorrow

Ah well if i'm not then i hope AF hurrys up and gets here so can start second round of clomid

digitalgirl · 10/02/2008 19:38

kate how you doing? Are you coming over to the sep thread?

SparklyMummy · 10/02/2008 19:41

Sorry about BNF Piper. I second what kate says. I always wee in a cup or whatever (not one we drink from lol) and then dip in.
The Tesco HPT might not be as accurate as CB or FR...

piper1984 · 10/02/2008 19:46

Ah there could be hope yet, i through test into stove after, (MIL always popping in unexpectedly, must destroy evidence )
but i've never used tesco brand before, DH has just told me its says to wait 3-4 minutes before reading result, i waited 1 minute, sorry think i might be clutching at straws here

piper1984 · 10/02/2008 19:48

any sign of my cycle buddie yet

MrsEi25 where are you???????????

SparklyMummy · 10/02/2008 19:50

Well it's the first month of clomid and it from what your doc said it's working so if you're not this month then maybe you'll be next month...but you still might be this month ....
You know how when women spend time together, their cycles all start coming at the same time...I wonder if the same can happen here lol.

kate2179 · 10/02/2008 19:50

Hi DG good to hear from you! Do we still have the same due date? Not quite ready to come over to the sept thread yet, although I've been lurking for a few weeks Just would hate to join then have to leave. Maybe after the next scan (PLEASE BE GOOD NEWS!)... which I hope will be on Friday 22nd when I should be 9+1... How are you anyway? When's your next scan? We can both avoid our scaremonger GPs together xx

kate2179 · 10/02/2008 19:53

Piper!!!! DEFINITELY worth waiting longer than a minute! Can't expect CBD speed from a test that costs £3.85 for two! Go and eat some yoghurt NOW!!!

ei hope you're ok honey, wherever you're hiding xx

digitalgirl · 10/02/2008 19:59

Hey kate, I'm keeping my due date at 25th sep even tho scan on Friday measured 7+3 so I may or may not be 2 days ahead of you.
I don't know when my next scan is as I have to wait for my booking appointment so just gonna sit back and assume all is well. Continuing to get growth twinges and sore boobs so will place my faith in mother nature to do her work as per the plan.

Are you feeling reassured at the moment? It would be nice to think your 9 week scan was just a regular check up.
