Feeling like I can face the world a bit better today, just counting down to Easter when I can have a long weekend, not too long now. Work have been very good to me, so I don't want to drop them in it, but my boss keeps telling me to look after myself and sod them so if I get another day like yesterday then I will have a duvet day and be a hermit!

i have got to help my sister decorate her new house over the next few days i was a bit peed off wit her actually!! she asked my brother to come and help for a few days and offered to pay him £100 (she didnt offer me anythin BTW!!) and he cant help her so obv i will still be helping and she just said to him well fine then il keep the money!! am i bein a bit unreasonable to think she should at least offer me a bit especially considering i loaned her money for her deposit!!?? it sounds really bad readin it back im not a money grabber honest!! i just think that maybe she thinks im not worth payin ah well or maybe she thinks im priceless whaddya think

Ei - Your sister is very naughty. I am not suprised you are annoyed. Hun I don't know what kind of relationship you have with her, but if you are able to talk easily, have a chat with her. A couple of years ago, my siblings helped me and DH to renovate our flat. I paid each of them for their hard work/petrol etc. It wasn't much about £300 each, but it was a thank you gesture.

thanks moonlit i was thinkin about talkin to her about it but i dont know what to say without making out that i will only help her if im paid iyswim my brother has said just that in those words so maybe i should be as expilicit about it i feel bad though as i dont want her to have to do it all herself (every room needs an overhaul) but i dont want her to just expect it of me and not of others iyswim she has just rang me and said how come i hadnt gone round to help her straight from work so i said i wasnt goin to go til about 2:30/3pm and she wasnt impressed maybe im too soft...oh i dont know!!

Ei - Darling, your sister is very bossy!!!! You are doing her the favour. If there is so much work to do she should compensate you. You are not being greedy. Just because you are family, she can't take the p*. My siblings never asked me for money, but I was so grateful I felt I should. Say to your sister, you need to save money for your nursing course/next baby etc. and could she pay you for your time.

Be straight forward hun. Toughen up!!! or I 'll come around and sort her out. I used to be a soft touch to, but experience has taught me, being a hard faced cow works better SOMETIMES!!!!!

I am a soft touch, I wouldn't dream of taking money off my sister(even though we could honestly do with more cash) but I would feel hurt if she offered my brother and not me. I would like to be able to say, no thanks sis you keep the money, but it was really kind of you to ask, Im helping you because you are family and I know you need my help!
I am always doing things for my family, I do feel sometimes I am taken advantage of, but I could stop it if I really wanted to! its just my nature I suppose

Im TTC #2, I have a 3 year old DD.

I'm now on CD1 of 2nd cycle, having got my hopes up, after getting to CD34 without any signs of AF, for it to come and slap me in the face this morning .

I OV'd quite late on CD21/22, but really thought that I'd managed to catch that egg....... aparently not

So anyway I'm starting over again, and would love to join you all

Um ei weren't you off work because of a bad back recently, and um hasn't your work threatened you with your job if you miss any more shifts? I don't think you should be straning yourself for someone who, appears, to be a little ungrateful.
You have a full time course, a job and a LO under 3 to deal with. If you want to go home for some down time before beginning your 4th line of work for one day ( and that being the one you are not getting anything back for) then I think you are fully entitled to.

On the other side, I can totally see why you are doing it, I would be doing exactly the same thing, but I would also be telling my sis to sod off, I will help her when I am good and ready and that she should step lightly or I wouldn't bother at all.
Also, I don't think I would be able to hold back from asking about the money. Does she think he needs it? But I would prob bring it up in jokey, don't you think my work is worth it, do you only think a mans work is worth paying for? ha ha air a little clearer.

But just felt I had to let off some steam on your behalf, hope that was ok

thanks TF you are welcome to let off some steam on my behalf im glad everyone seems to agree with me about it i will have a talk with her tomorrow about it TBH i know why she is paying my brother (he wouldnt help her if she wasnt paying him) and he is unemployed so i dont begrudge him the money it is just how she has gone about it (ie hiding the fact from me and expecting more of me even though my bro was the one actually gaining from the situation iyswim) it annoys me that she is like this when i have been very generous to her in the past and helped her out when nobody else would. ah well such is life...

hi NOAM im glad your little bean isnt causing you any more trouble i am due to test in about 8/10 days time i want to wait as long as i can bear to (so tomorrow then...) to avoid disappointment of a BFN hopefully i will get my BFP but im not goin to hold my breath as if my body makes me wait til next month my EDD would be around 24th dec!! it would be my luck and sods law to have another xmas baby...they are rather special though arent they!! i wouldnt mind as long as i get one im not bothered!!

sparkly yeah, im ok, cant believe DD sick again tonight (about 15mins ago!) so looks as though she is going to be off school for the rest of the week (she will be very upset about missing her first disco at school on friday)I think I am going to try and starve her properly, just cant seem to kill the bug!(r doc says ur not supposed to starve kids these days) I cant see any other way around it. I was a little worried today, I was out doing the school run and felt 'very wet' I really thought Oh no not again (thought I was m/c again!) the drive hope was very long, just felt like crying, got home rushed to the loo and only found loads of cm
the stress it put me through was bloody pooh!
I need to get past monday now, then I will feel more confident about this pregnancy
