I have brought the list across, fluffed the cushions and put some nice tea to brew. I baked muffins and biscuits too, help yourselves.

EI and MP It is sad when they don't want the boobie loobie (did i sayu boobie loobie out loud?) anymore isn't it
FL I'll be your CB too
I'm so itchy..whats the chance of getting chickenpox? I'm avoided them my whole life!

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 21:28

Ah Mentalpup Well you're very lucky to have been able to do it. After spending 9 months very excited to breast feed and being told that 'every woman can breast feed' I couldnt do it. I didn't have any let down, only a little bit of the first bit (iyswim)tried for 5 weeks, by which time poor DS was losing too much weight I was advised to use formula. I get very jealous of women who breast feed and seem to have loads of milk

Thanks EI. Yes, I do get my body back (and am having a drink to celebrate) and won't have to get up in the night for the next few nights as if he wakes (he's also teething) I'm not going near him. DH and a tommy tippee with water! Still bit emotional about it though. I know it's a positive thing really!

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 21:35

FL I get jealous of people who don't have so much milk...I could have fed the whole of Cardiff...everytime I out a top on I would walk downstairs and be soaked..it was so uncomfy. I would go out wearing 4 breastpads on each side and got mastitis twice (convinced it was linked to too much milk!). I don't think breastfeeding is the be-all-and-end-all. You tried and gave the early feeds and that's what's important. You shouldn't feel sad about it.
EI Nitey nite XX
Mentalpup Sorry you're feeling sad. Hope you manage to conceive quickly!
NOAM Sorry you got a BFN but hope it turns to BFP

mentalpup · 15/02/2008 21:36

Really sorry FL that you were not able to feed. Feel a bit guilty now!

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 21:36

Sorry that sounded really bad. Dont know what's wrong with me, maybe AF's on her way at last! [yippee]!!!

mentalpup · 15/02/2008 21:41

I'm just being hormonal (and in a lot of pain from right boob which is so full and is currently 2ce the size of my left!)
Anyone watching C4 and the laughing quads? Quite scary.

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 21:44

I'm watching that! How funny was that little asian kid! ha ha

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 21:44

Mentalpup Have you tired expressing off a bit (not totally emptying) and then feeding it in a bottle or adding it to cereal or sumit similar? It hurts too much to go cold turkey so you could try expressing off the next few days and decrease the amount you express?

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 21:45

DP is watching something on Edith Piaf.

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 21:47

Save it! I might need to borrow you one day, ever fancied being a wet nurse? ha ha

mentalpup · 15/02/2008 21:48

FL seen the little asian kid on facebook. from u-tube i think. quite funny!
Sparkly was going to just hand express a bit in the shower. Not fed for 48 hrs now and only once a day so it's not as if it's totally cold turkey but I didn't think I actually had that much in me to feed until now!

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 22:00

Mentalpup Hope the pain improves.
I just added more photos to my profile...I must be bored!!

mentalpup · 15/02/2008 22:03

Cheers! Cool Pics.

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 22:06

Thanks.
I think I might go to bed. Have spent far too many hours on MN today (oops!).
Going swimming tomorrow but will speak to you all at some point.
Night Mentalpup and FL (if you're still around?)
Night all! X

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 22:08

By still around I mean still here..you've prob left now like everyone else .. only I am sad enough to be here nearly all day...

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 22:13

I'm too scared to add pics in case someone recognises me!

Lovely pics sparkly where is your place in Spain? DP's parents live in Marbella, we go over quite a bit

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 22:13

Emmsy1 · 16/02/2008 05:34

morning ladies, hope you all have a lovely weekend! NOAM sorry you got a BFN hope that in a few days it's a BFP, I had a very faint line on 9 DPO and I was 'twiddling' with it, as couldn't be sure if it was an 'evap line', a 'faint +' or my 'imagination', luckily it turned out to be the latter! fingers crossed for you xx
mentalpup when my first son was born 8 years ago, I tried and tried to BF, but unfortunately I couldn't (not surprising really, as I had had a breast reduction a few years earlier!) One of the midwifes kept telling me to keep trying! Then a more experienced one told me I had no chance. I felt such a failure, I had not even thought that it would effect my chances of BF, (bit dumb sometimes!) They actually have to reposition your nipples, so virtually impossible. My eldest son is healthy and extremely bright so don't mind as much now, but was sooo upset at the time.x

Treats · 16/02/2008 07:23

Hello Emmsy - thought I'd be the first one on here this morning.

I've hardly been able to sleep a wink all week, and I've planned to test this morning. I've got the HPT all ready to go, and am just keeping my legs crossued until DH gets up (although that could be hours!)

Got really upset last night. I've had some very disappointing news this week - missed out on something that I really wanted to do - but consoled myself thinking that i couldn't do it anyway if I was pregnant. Think I'm going to be devastated if I get a BFN when I test later.

I spent most of yesterday googling pregnancy symptoms, and I've been able to tick off quite a few. The trouble is, I'm not sure if I feel pregnant. I'm quite an intuitive person normally, so that means a lot to me. I'm in a bit of a state about the whole thing, so it's hard to tell whether I feel that I'm pregnant, or whether I'm just longing to be.

Absolutely busting for a pee. Back later.
