I have brought the list across, fluffed the cushions and put some nice tea to brew. I baked muffins and biscuits too, help yourselves.

MTW I'm a childminder
Sam check this out
Yeah I know I'm a fine one to talk, But we got our Bugaboo very cheap as DP has a friend of a friend who works for them or something like that. I would never be able to afford one full price! I'd still love a Bee though, not sure we can get another one cheap though - we were just lucky before.
JB How dear you leave me rotting at the bottom of the heap - so rude . Have you got PCOS too then with those long cycles of yours?
Sparkly Does your friend think she'll get around with her baby in a sling then? ha ha. Those people crack me up! My DS was in a sling for all of one week before he was soooo heavy he broke my back! Plus, where do you hang the shopping??
Welcome to our very lucky thread MollieMooma Now you will get me very confused cos that's my name in real life (ssssshhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone ), God I hope I don't know anyone on here - how embarrassing! I've just started temping a week ago. You should give it a try

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 13:04

FL I agree...they crack me up too. Not just the carrying of the baby and the shopping but also the 'spoiling' of the baby as my mum would say....imagine just carrying the baby all the time and never putting it down....

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 13:04

Oh sparkly it's just soooo tempting isnt it I do them all the time with my mega cycles. I've spent a fortune!

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 13:08

That would drive me to distraction! Much as
I love my DS I think you need a break every now and then. I coulod never have carted him round all the time even if he was a scrawny little thing. In fact I loved it when I got visitors cos it meant I could hand him over for half an hour I hope I dont sound ungrateful!

Eleveld · 15/02/2008 13:08

Sparky

You're not alone. I ordered a pack of those OPK and HPT from ebay and couldn't resist doing one of the HPT just for the hell of it (even though it was at a time when there was no chance of it being positive!)

glastochick · 15/02/2008 13:35

Afternoon ladies. Hope everyone enjoyed their valentines BD'ing yesterday

Got a +ve OPK when I got home last night and fertility friend has set today as OV day. We were supposed to be going to a restaurant for a meal last night but someone had thrown themselves under a train at Romford so no trains out of Liverpool Street for ages. DH had been shirking working from home so he was all dressed up with no wife to go out with. Still, we had a nice takeaway and a lovely BD last night. He's also on board for BD'ing tonight too so let's hope those swimmers catch the egg!

Sparkly, I'm going to get a turkey baster from the supermarket tomorrow as I think conception a la Hollyoaks is the only guaranteed way to catch a bean!

Looking forward to seeing if this months experiment taking Vit B6 will extend my luteal phase

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 13:38

Why do we all want to do HPTs all the time?
Eleveld Do you use OPKs all the time? I think i'm going to do 2 a day until it tells me whether i'm OV and if am I then when i'm OV...I didn't even read the info and don't know what a +OPK looks like so i'm prob not even doing it right lol!
FL Do you know if you've OV yet? I spend a fortune too...that's why i've got these ebay cheapies. I couldn't have carted my LO around either...I told them they'll need a pram but i'm sure they'll find out for themselves!

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 13:39

OMG GC does Vit B6 extend luteal phase?! No wonder my cycles are sooo long . No seriously, do you reckon I should stop taking it?????

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 13:41

Glasto I hope those little boys do catch the egg...sounds positive!! I didn't do a Valentines BD...I read Katie Andre's new autobiography in bed instead.

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 13:43

Sparkly I have absolutely no idea, your guess is as good as mine. All I know is the sonographer (is that right - the lady who scanned me?) said: "it looks like you have ov'd" and the week before my scan, I got a +ve OPK which I haven't done before. If I have ov'd then it's been 15 DPO and I don't feel any sign of AF at all. Not pg either. It's sooooooo frustrating!

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 13:44

Wow sparkly bet that was a thrilling read

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 13:49

FL haha...the DP originally bought me Russel Brand's auto and i wasn't sure that i'd like to read it so I pulled a face. He said he would take it back and change it and came back with KP. It's a really easy read but not sure whether i'd recommend it yet lol! How long is ur luteal phase normally? When did you last test? Don't give up hope til AF arrives!

Eleveld · 15/02/2008 13:53

Sparky

It's only my second cycle of TTC. This is the first month I used them. I just started 'playing around' with them on about day 9. Did one on day 9, 10 and 12. Got a really strong positive on day 12 but don't know if that was the first or second day of the surge as I didn't do one on day 11 (can't remember why!).

Those ebay OPK cheapies are just like the HPT - you just get two lines instead of one for a positive.

When I got the positive I can just remember staring at it thinking 'I wish it was a HPT!' (I know, I'm sad!)

Eleveld · 15/02/2008 13:54

sorry, just reaised I keep typing sparky instead of sparkly
Sorry!

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 13:56

on't know my lutel phase as I have no idea when I ov, last test was a week ago, Sonographer said I wan't pg cos the lining of my womb would've thickened and it was very thin. But if I got +ve OPK only a week before, would it have thickened by the time I had my scan? I don't know how quick these things happen

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 13:56

Eleveld I'm on day 11 now and usual cycles are 28-35 so going to keep doing them for a week and hopefully they will show an OPK (in which case I might notice OV symptoms as I don't normally know if I have OV)...i'll be so excited if I get an +OPK!

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 13:58

FL I would think that she wouldnt have even been able to tell at such an early stage. If you did a test a week ago then you would only be 7DPO and that would be too early for HPT, wouldn't it? Any symptoms?

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 14:06

No I got my +opk 10 days before I tested. It might have been too early but with my track record there's not much chance of being pg. Also no symptoms what-so-ever. I thought I got a metallic taste in my mouth last week and got quite excited but it turned out to be a bleeding gum around my wisdom tooth

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 14:07

Also don't think the chart looks like I'm pg

my chart for anyone who understands charts

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 14:07

Aw your poor tooth!!
Might be worth testing again..not trying to get ur hopes up or anything but you never know!

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 14:10

Not sure I can be bothered with the rejection to be honest. I'm going out tomorrow night to my mate's party so I'm sure to get hammered then find out I'm pg. I reckon by the Law of Sod I'll only get a +ve HPT after drinking too much.

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 14:14

Hahaha FL That's what happened with my DD. I was away for work in London for a week and got battered! Came home..BD...went to London again later that month...got stupidly drunk.. and then realised AF was late and got a BFP with a hangover. Oops!We weren't 'trying' then though so I was shocked to find myself PG. I don't understand that chart.

Eleveld · 15/02/2008 14:17

I have a question .... TMI alert...

I am on CD24 and the last couple of days have noticed an increase in CM, not EWCM, more of a creamy thick type.

I thought the period just before AF was meant to be pretty dry? Is this normal?

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 14:19

yeah, same with DS! ha ha. Although I had been pg about 6 weeks and hadnt realised when I got steaming drunk! I wondered how I got so drunk on 3 bacardi breezers, he he. That's the trouble with these mega cycles, no idea pg for ages! Maybe I'll do a test in the morning, I've been downing water all day in a bid to lose a couple pounds for the party Sat so my wee is very diluted (sorry - TMI)

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 14:20

My CM always dries up before AF. Maybe it is a sign!!
