I have brought the list across, fluffed the cushions and put some nice tea to brew. I baked muffins and biscuits too, help yourselves.

me 2 mentalpup i have a sort of 'grass is greener' when i see other prams that are nicer than mine i really want a stylish overgrown handbag of a pram for number 2...if budget (and DH) will allow

Moonlit · 15/02/2008 01:06

Hi guys, the pram conversation made me laugh when I read it. As before I became a Mum to my DD, I used to check out what other women were wearing and now I always check out other Mums prams. I get major pram envy! I have the Quinny Zap and M&P Sport. I love both. Next time i want to get the Quinny Buzz or Speedi.

x

Morning.

Jollybear where are you? Are you really on CD66?

dressedupandnowheretogo you're not far behind me. Are any of you long cycle buddies expecting AF to arrive anytime soon?

sambrads · 15/02/2008 08:46

hi ya fruitloop how are you was reading your comments about the prams and i too had the ZAPP and hated it and sold it on ebay for more than i paid for it

they are raelly nice to look at but not practical

i am finding it so hard to pick a doube pram as i dont know what to go for . everyone says the phil and teds but is it really practical?????
dont like the thought of having the ne born underneath oh im so confused

mibbes · 15/02/2008 09:11

Ok experienced mum-types, here is a novice question for you... why do you need more than 1 pram if you only have 1 baby ? All I can think of is different colours for different outifts ?... and I assume this is wrong ! I am still at the checking out other people's clothes/handbags stage - look forward to swapping this for pram-spotting if I ever get a BFP . I have to admit to having a brief look in my friend's Next catalogue as noticed they had some prams... I'm afraid I just thought "yes, wheels, handle for pushing and comfy bit for baby to sit in, looks fine to me". I assume there is a whole lot I have to learn !

fruitloop79 · 15/02/2008 09:13

sam why dont you get a bike attachment for your single. I've got one and it's wicked! . I also have a Maclaren double, not too big, not too small, fold up nicely, lies flat for newborn too. In my experience, side-by-sides are better. I'd love a Phil n Teds but never test driven one so no idea how practical they are - just waaaay too expensive!

07mumstheword · 15/02/2008 09:17

Mibbes There is a lot of choice out there [wink} I'm sure the buggy bug will get you but from my point of view I bought a very nice (Mamas & Papas) one for DD so that will be coming out of the loft as I don't need to worry about double buggies. I did buy a second buggy (Maclaren) when DD was a little older as it was lighter and easier to lift into the car. And we did buy a cheaper one when we went abroad incase it got damaged on the plane.

07mumstheword · 15/02/2008 09:19

Fruitloop How many DC do you have? Double buggies? I thought you had one DC? Or are you a child minder? Sorry I'm just being nosey

sambrads · 15/02/2008 09:26

were do i buy a bike attachment and what are they i have not seen them any where .

i have to lugh at you fruity saying phil and teds too expensive what about the bugaboo they are nearly £1000 for aeverything

but i will sayyou will get your bugaboo hahaha

Hello all,

FL Only a 64 day cycle for me. Sorry to leave you at the bottom . I seem to have a long LP though, 18 days Either my temping went wrong somewhere or I'm freaky!!

Hope everyone is well

Hello to new cycle buddy mentalpup

MollieMooma · 15/02/2008 10:40

Hi everyone, wondered if I could join you? Here's a little about me, I'm 35 first pg got BFP 10/12/08 found out 10/01/08 missed m/c had ERPC 15/01/08, first AF today, thinking about temping but still unsure about process, gonna try looking on the net to get my head round it, as I feel I want to know more about my cycles. Have been posting on m/c avengers so recognise some of you from there.
I haven't added myself to the list as I'm not sure what all the bits stand for I presume I'm CD1, cycle 1 and I think the ttc# is number of kids??

Mibbles LOL! No idea why we need so many buggies but I did the same as MTW because pram was too heavy to get in and out of the car and took up lots of room.
I have a friend who is 20 weeks now and her and her DP don't think they are going to need a pram.....
Jolly Sorry AF got you
Mollie Welcome to our lucky thread. Sorry about your m/c. There are lots of experienced temps here so i'm sure you'll get lots of helpful advice. That's exactly how you add youself to the list. X

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 15/02/2008 10:50

morning ladies
mibbes we have 4 different prams- well 1 pram 3 lightweight buggies the buggies are best for summer use as they are lighter and easier to push, we bougt a pretty lilac one as our pram is navy blue and gold/sand colour and rather boyish, we bought one for my mum to use when DD spends time there and we got a nice pink one cos is was pretty and on sale its more practical to have a few prams for different uses i think as its a PITA in the summer trying to push a pram while carrying shopping bags that dont fit in the bottom in the basket (my pram has one long handle the buggies have 2 separate handles iyswim) when it is hot or stuffy its just easier with more IME...and you can coordinate aswell
how is everyone else??
JB sorry AF got you but i suppose at least you know what is happening with youhow was your trip??
MTW hope all is well with you and beanstheword
hi to everyone

Is everyone having a lazy day today? DD is in nursery... man is downstairs fitting new floor (still...) and DP taken his car to garage. I feel like going to a health spa..I can dream!
I'm still waiting for my OPKs to arrive...if my cycles are 28-35 days when should I start doing them?

sparkly i really want to have a lazy day but iv got to pop into town to hand my assignment in and meet my mum and sis for lunch (dont get excited il prob get a pasty from sayers) with DD in tow and shes in a foul mood today!! she weed the bed last night for the first time and i thought she was just being noisy so i left her for about 15 mins til she started to shout me!! so no wonder she is in a bad mood with me as her mummy well i suppose its better than last week when she took her nappy off and coated herself in poo!!
xx ei xx

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 11:53

I've just planned a full weeks numeracy and literacy only to realised I saved one on top of the other...sh*t...and lost one weeks planning.
Aw they do stay in a mood with you for a while don't they! My DD told DP that she needed a wee before her bath and he wandered off to find her potty (and potter around) and she had made a puddle on our new floor before he made it back...his fault completely..can't remember the last time she had an accident but MY NEWWW FLLORRRR!! lol!

SparklyMummy · 15/02/2008 12:28

I just got my ebay cheapies and did an OV and a PG test (don't know why I did the 2nd...I knew i'd get a BFN but still couldn't resist the temptation!!)...Got 2 - so will keep trying with the OV tests over the next week.
