I have brought the list across, fluffed the cushions and put some nice tea to brew. I baked muffins and biscuits too, help yourselves.

Good morning ladies

Just wanted to say, thank you so much for welcoming me back yesterday! It really does mean a lot.

Emmsy congratulations!!!!!!! What lovely news.

napa It does sound like congratulations are in order for you too!!! Well done.

SparklyMummy · 13/02/2008 10:58

Napa Wooohoooo sounds like a BFP!! It's like waiting for a bus lol....we've been waiting for a BFP for ages and then 2 show up at once. Congrats!

digitalgirl · 13/02/2008 11:02

big congrats to emmsy that's wonderful news! have you worked out when you're due yet?

fruitloop79 · 13/02/2008 13:10

And congratulations Napa!! How long has it taken you?

fruitloop79 · 13/02/2008 13:15

Sam my friend is 15 and a half weeks now. She's a slim athletic type, about 5ft3 or 4 and she literally popped out about a week ago. I saw her on the Thursday and she was flat as a pancake, saw her the next day and lo and behold a little bump appeared over night. She now has a definite roundness. She can't get into her jeans anymore. You might be able to hide it if you layer up well but most people tell everyone by 12 weeks don't they. I started telling at about 10 weeks with DS, I couldn't wait any longer! But then I didn't find out I was pg till I was 7/8 weeks!

kate2179 · 13/02/2008 13:31

YAAAAAAYYYY EMMSY!!! !! Soooooooooo pleased for you! Was so funny reading your posts, I noticed the time of your list update first and I was thinking 'oh, no, Emmsy..." then, straight afterwards, 'WOOOOOO HOOOO Emmsy!' Am really thrilled for you, you so deserve this! What are you going to say to Mr Emmsy? Have you been flushing your mini pills down the loo each day like a good naughty good girl?!? This is your sticky one! xx

kate2179 · 13/02/2008 13:32

Napa a line is a line! It will be lighter if you've tested quite early, congratulations!!

Welcome newbies and congrats Napa !!
SparklyMummy TBH I don't think having cycles ranging from 28-35 is particularly irregular - there doesn't have to be a reason - some women just vary from month to month. I took vit C&E and Zinc this cycle to try and encourage healhty ov and at time of ov I had a tiny bit of blood (which is suppsed to a good sign - I have never had this before) so hoping it has worked to improve ov . I also take VitB6 and Bcomplex to extend LP - as I usually have spotting for up to 6 days pre-AF.

mibbes · 13/02/2008 13:55

Hi never do you mean Renaud's ? I have just googled and no known link with it getting worse and being PG - I get really white fingers in the cold (has never been put down to anything specific though) and it has happened a few times in the past 2 days - but then it has been blooming freezing here in Scotland ! But hey a symptom is a symptom so I say it is !

cricri · 13/02/2008 14:11

Congrats Napa and special congrats to Emmsy my cycle buddy! What wonderful news!
I've been away for a couple of days and it's taken me ages to catch up with all the posts. Welcome to the newbies too.

napa · 13/02/2008 14:12

thanks for the congrats, still not believing it and haven't told dh so will show him the test when he gets home tonight. think i'll wait til fri, when af is actually due and then do a cbd on fmu to reassure me (the test i did today wasn't until the 3rd time i went to the loo so maybe thats why its faint - i hope)

piper1984 · 13/02/2008 14:41

barrelrider · 13/02/2008 18:02

Hello all, can I join you? I am officially TTC now, have been since November so I guess this is Cycle 4 ish? TTC number 2. I don't understand what CDis, is it number of days in the cycle? In which case I think I'm 28.

I'm quite new to all this I gues,, so could someone tell me about the temperature thing? I tried using ovulation sticks last month but it never showed a surge so I abandoned them! I had an ectopic last year so I'm a bit stressed that might happen again (and also stressed that because I only have 1 tube left and I'm 36 already that I might have left it too late!) So I start to using tactics!

Today is day 15 for me and we have been ttc a lot in the past few days so I'm really hoping for something this month

Good luck to all of you ttcers!!

kate2179 · 13/02/2008 18:30

Welcome Barrelrider have added you to the list

CD is what cycle day you're on, so you said you're currently on CD15 which makes you cycle buddies with Glastochick & LoveVerona so I've put you by them. So sorry to hear about your ectopic, I haven't mentioned it on your listing as I think that's a very personal decision. You'll see that some of us have mentioned miscarriage(s), totally up to you whether you want to include it or not.

The temping thing is not nearly as complicated as it sounds, will try to reduce it to 5 easy steps

  1. Go to Boots and shell out £13 on a digital fertility thermometer and book.
  2. Join up with fertilityfriend.com and follow their daily lessons (if you can be bothered - I did cos I'm obsessive ) Otherwise you'll prob be fine just reading the instructions on the Boots kit or googling "basal body temperature" and having a look at a couple of sites. The good thing about fertilityfriend is that you can see other people's charts to check you're doing it right and it will tell you when to test and interpret your chart for you generally.
  3. Remember when taking your temperature it must be the first thing you do each day, before getting up, drinking water etc or you won't get a true reading. You can take it orally but if you sleep with your mouth open you may want to look at the other options mentioned on the websites ()
  4. It's best to take it at the same time each day but you can just write down whatever time you took it and see if the results have been skewed. Likewise alcohol, lack of sleep and illness can all skew it a bit
5.The best time for bd'ing is in the few days BEFORE the temp rise, so basically if you haven't seen the rise then keep at it!

Hope that doesn't sound too daunting, good luck! xx

Emmsy1 · 13/02/2008 19:07

thanks so much for all the congrats! I still can't believe it, I have just done another test and its darker than this mornings, so just need it to be extra sticky this time around! thought I would send you all a little bit of baby dust so get ready to catch it, here goes .... * must keep enough for my little bean
I told my DH this afternoon, he seemed really, really pleased? He said he didn't want me to get too excited incase I M/C again. It took him an hour and a half to say "I thought you were on the mini-pill" he's not too bright when it comes to womens things kate you were right about me being a good girl and throwing them down the loo! so very scared, really hope I can make it past 6 1/2 weeks I am staying put if you don't mind ladies, need to believe that all will be alright before I am brave enough to join an ante-natal thread xx

piper1984 · 13/02/2008 19:36

Hi Twinklingfairy

Yeah i know, sorry for leaving you all in suspense, I got a faint BFP on Monday morning. going by last 2 cycles tho AF not due until Friday. so gonna wait until then and do another test and if that BFP too then I'll start to celebrate!!! . I've had faint BFP before and it hasnt worked out so gonna thread carefully.

Emmsy

Hi NOAM and welcome Barrelrider

yeah, gonna be carefully excited, will save the celebrations till later. Cycle usually 28-29 days long but had the appendix out 2 months ago and it seems to be 35 days long since then. OMG there has been so many BFP since i was last on, its great, plenty of baby dust flying around. so what else have i missed, i read a few of the pages but then i got goggle eyed!

mibbes · 13/02/2008 21:49

Emmsy thanks for the baby dust - have grabbed a big handful ! How funny DH took so long to click about mini-pill, men are rubbish !
Barrelrider welcome - temping is a great idea if you want to know what is going on in there !
piper welcome back and > congrats, hope this one works out xx
never I was looking for that bus too - hopefully we'll be catching it in about 10 days together >

mibbes · 13/02/2008 21:57

How are you CBs Treats, EleveId and ?Oufton ? Any symtpoms to report ? I have been trying to imagine some but so far nowt - been a bit tired but then dp has a cold so having rubbish sleeps - och I just the next 10 days would whizz by so I'd know one way or the other.

Eleveld · 13/02/2008 23:00

Hi Mibbes

No symptoms whatsoever! Just got a feeling it's not my month again but you never know I suppose.

These two weeks just drag don't they?!

Off to bed now anyway, tomorrow's another day nearer to finding out!

scully · 14/02/2008 03:48
