Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

@xTinkerbell Good plan! Sorry it's been causing you physical stress. TTC takes such a toll. If needed, next month can be more of an old school approach for you!

@TrudyProud SO happy for you, this is wonderful. Definitely hang around and keep us updated. 😊 Do you have many symptoms at the moment?

Mushroo · 03/05/2023 11:56

@TrudyProud congrats!! I’m still lurking on here to see how everyone is getting on but there’s a ‘due January 2024 thread’ as well which is really supportive. Hopefully see you on there too! X

Yes, I joined earlier this week. I'm not active on it yet though. Have read the posts and recognised your username

Mummyme87 · 03/05/2023 12:29

@TrudyProud fabulous line and great to see on a digital!

6dpo, no sore boobs as such which is my usual Lp symptom at this point but had the odd shooting pain in them. Also still getting lower abdomen twinges and soreness.

I'm very tired and have insomnia.
I don't remember having this with DD but tbf, she's a toddler who thinks sleep is for the weak. She'll randomly wake up for 1-2mins scream then go back to sleep. Meanwhile I'm up for 2hrs trying to get back to sleep.

LeopardLover · 03/05/2023 13:07

@TrudyProud Ahhh that progesterone is really playing with your sleep then! Your toddler sounds similar to mine. Dreamy but a sleep thief 😅

@Mummyme87 Really hoping twinges are positive!!

I'm 10DPO with zero symptoms. I can't even dig deep to find any - maybe weird dreams but I do get those occasionally 😅

Mushroo · 03/05/2023 13:16

@LeopardLover at 10dpo I had zero symptoms, kept moaning to DH I felt super normal and was definitely not pregnant.

Only tested at 11dpo because I wanted to go to the pub. Kicked in hard in about 15dpo!

LeopardLover · 03/05/2023 13:47

@Mushroo Oh that's really cool! I won't rule myself out just yet then. 😅 I'll try to be patient and not wish the week away!

Mushroo · 03/05/2023 13:50

@LeopardLover absolutely! My first symptoms were thirst, sore boobs, waking up at 4am and weird dreams!

HannahLouD · 03/05/2023 13:55

I've also still been lurking on here to see how everyone's doing 🙈

Just wanted to say... People who don't have any symptoms before a bfp, it really doesn't mean anything! You may remember me having a freakout as I had convinced myself I was out so drank a whole bottle of wine and then got my positive the next day 🙈😂
Also... I have been very largely symptomless my whole pregnancy so far. Was convinced things weren't going to be ok as the small amount of symptoms that I do have (slightly sore nipples and feeling tired) are very on and off... But this was this morning at 8+5! 😍

Don't count yourselves out ladies if you don't "feel" pregnant before a bfp, or even after!

Good luck to all those actively trying atm and all those preparing to try later this year 🤍✨x

@HannahLouD Oh it's so lovely to hear from you! Look at that little one 😍 Congratulations! Are you feeling a bit more relaxed now? So exciting! X

HannahLouD · 03/05/2023 14:08

@LeopardLover ah thank you lovely! 🥰 Yes!! After this morning I am actually going to let myself feel excited and try my very best to not let anxiety constantly take over.
Hope you're doing well!? 😊

Sorry to butt back into this thread, but I've been keeping in the loop with you all and thought I'd share my experience so far in case it helps anyone and also just share my update! 😊X

Hopingforno2in2023 · 03/05/2023 14:48

Congrats Trudy!

lovely pic Hannah, glad all is going well.

sorry I am quite quiet, just a waiting game for me, waiting for the letter for DH’s surgical sperm retrieval to pop through the letter box. With the pace things are going I have a horrible feeling we won’t be starting the IVF itself until the autumn as I won’t be able to do it over the summer holidays.

Mummyme87 · 03/05/2023 15:02

Ah how lovely @HannahLouD I was thinking of you earlier this week!

TrudyProud · 03/05/2023 15:27

So lovely @HannahLouD ! I love those early scans and hearing your child's HB. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

Seeing your post has made me want to book in a scan end of May 🥰💕

BatildaB · 06/05/2023 17:24

just dropping back in to catch up!

@TrudyProud congrats!

@xTinkerbell After one month of tracking everything I’ve gone to the opposite extreme this month and barely paid any attention at all! Need to find the happy medium..

Think my period is imminent and testing negative so that’s second cycle out for me. My not ideal work situation is now such that it would actually really suit me not to get pregnant for at least another two months, but I don’t want to actually stop trying, so in a way that has kind of taken the pressure off a bit.

BatildaB · 06/05/2023 17:27

@LeopardLover how’s the supplement regimen? I’m adding in evening primrose and grapefruit for the first half of my next cycle as haven’t noticed any ewcm the past two. Slightly longer cycle this month makes me think some of the other stuff is maybe doing something good!

Ooooh, that sounds great! Are you using fresh grapefruit? I'm just sticking with the usual suspects and didn't take my tissue salts during implantation as we were being chill 😅 I might add them into next cycle! I'm going to use OPKs so I can see if ubiquinol has brought ovulation forward. What DPO are you?

happytobemrsg · 06/05/2023 21:22

Started using opks for the first time ever yesterday. Quite enjoying uploading them to the Premom app ‘ seeing the progression 😂 for my prenatal vitamins for my two DC I was just on folic acid tablets. So many different things are mentioned on this board but for now I’ll just keep it simple 😁

Mummyme87 · 06/05/2023 21:27

9dpo! Got my BFP ♥️♥️♥️

BatildaB · 06/05/2023 21:37

@Mummyme87 congratulations!

@LeopardLover not sure when I ovulated this month but am CD 26, usually would have period by now but I am 99% sure it’s on its way! I got some mini grapefruit juice bottles to have as back up with the aim of getting fresh grapefruit in as much as possible. Definitely one of the tastier supplements.

LeopardLover · 06/05/2023 22:47

@happytobemrsg I'm looking forward to using OPKs again too 🤣

@BatildaB Eeek, that sounds promising! Do you have any spare tests for tomorrow? I quite like grapefruit so maybe I'll pick some up soon 😅💜

@Mummyme87 Congratulations!! 😍 The best news.

TrudyProud · 06/05/2023 23:34

Congratulations again @Mummyme87 !

xTinkerbell · 06/05/2023 23:56

@Mummyme87 congratulations!!!

xTinkerbell · 06/05/2023 23:58

@BatildaB saw your comment about ewcm. The month I conceived DD I hadn’t noticed any at all so you never know!
