Hi I’m 6dpo for sure as I tracked with ovulation tests this month and I’ve got a positive pregnancy test, is this possible?

The line doesn’t look good right to me, I’d check with another brand before getting my hopes up. 6 dpo really is too early to be getting a result of you’re 100% sure of your dates.

DestinysGrandchild · 24/01/2023 12:24

Try a different test. I wouldn't get super excited with that line.

Mummy1502 · 24/01/2023 12:40

That wasn’t fully dry yet, now it’s dry you can tell it’s a line, il get a picture, it came up in seconds of doing it

Not sure if these are better?

How did you track ovulation?
I’d agree that 6dpo is too early for a line like that, you’d have to of implanted at 4DPO to start testing positive now, and even earlier for such an obvious line.
are you on any medication?

OatFox · 24/01/2023 13:26

The line does look a little odd.

Can you take a different brand pink dye test like FRER?

Mummy1502 · 24/01/2023 13:27

@Mannymoomin i used ovulation tests the ones from home bargains il attach a picture, the numbers I’ve written on them were the cycle day I was on, no not on any medication

@OatFox il grab some FRER later and test in the morning

I’ve not used the home bargains OPK, but I will say that unless you temp alongside it you can’t really confirm if you’ve ovulated or not as you can have multiple surges in a cycle.
Also, OPK can give false positive readings if they detect hcg in your system.
If I was you I’d do another test and if still positive the chances are you’re more pregnant than you think

Mummy1502 · 24/01/2023 13:31

The pregnancy tests are from home bargains which I havnt used before that’s why I’ve posted as wasn’t sure myself with it being so early past ovulation

Mummy1502 · 24/01/2023 13:33

@Mannymoomin il do the other test that was from home bargains see what that one says and post it, but il also grab some FRER later today, I felt the typical ovulation pains etc and can’t imagine I ovulated any sooner than the positives as the pain was the same time, I had my period on the 8th and bled for 4 days so can’t be any sooner than that either x

6dpo is ridiculously early to test positive. Implantation at 4dpo...6dpo is normally the absolute earliest. I also agree the test doesn't look right.
Definitely get a FRER

Mummy1502 · 24/01/2023 14:00

Il get a FRER and retest in a couple of days, maybe it’s a faulty test?

OP posts:
Twoinapod · 24/01/2023 14:07

I’d say it’s not possible for 6dpo especially for a line that dark. Test again with a different brand and if positive you’ve definitely ovulated earlier

Mummyo1 · 24/01/2023 14:08

To me the test looks invalid, the line isn't smooth at all

Mummy1502 · 24/01/2023 14:19

Will keep the thread updated when I next test

OP posts:
Mummy1502 · 24/01/2023 15:29

I did the other home bargains test, a line came up as soon as I did the test, fainter than the one I posted, then when it dried it’s gone, confusing, will just buy some FRER and update

OP posts:
positivethoughts1 · 24/01/2023 15:46

It's the 6DPO that's throwing me off... to me the test looks positive even if the line is off centre? Fingers crossed for you OP, good luck with your FRER xxx

Mummyo1 · 24/01/2023 16:12

@Mummy1502 the lines on cheapies do come up straight away. Clear as day. Then fade to white, that's negative. Where the line comes up is saturated while the day is running. It dries negative as it hasn't clung to any HCG hormone

Mummy1502 · 24/01/2023 17:47

Thankyou will keep you all updated, I got some FRER will test in the morning x

Redjumperoo · 24/01/2023 19:52

Forgive me if this sounds patronising @Mummy1502 but have you mixed your tests up? The ones in the OP and most of the ones you have said are opks look the same?

Mummy1502 · 24/01/2023 19:56

@Redjumperoo no they are different style tests, will attach pic, opk has round white end with dots which I have written on, pregnancy test has the other shape x

Mrsphilmiller · 24/01/2023 20:27

i tested that early with twins but i also had symptoms, do you?

Mummy1502 · 25/01/2023 07:59

Did a FRER this morning, it looks negative, the home bargains one must have been a faulty test, I’ve had this with the clear blue early tests too last month, gets your hopes up thinking you are when your not, will test closer to when period is due to avoid disappointment, hate the wait x

OP posts:
positivethoughts1 · 25/01/2023 08:51

Sorry to hear that OP ❤️ the wait to rest from 1DPO to 14 is so long! I've always caved and tested early too but I do think in the long run waiting until your period is late is better. Baby dust to you xxx
