Hi I’m 6dpo for sure as I tracked with ovulation tests this month and I’ve got a positive pregnancy test, is this possible?

@Mummy1502 you're still only 7dpo is that correct? Still lots of time to get your BFP. My fingers are crossed for you x

Mummy1502 · 25/01/2023 09:54

Thankyou everyone and yes I think 7dpo which I thought was too early anyway just so emotional today can’t stop crying, it’s my husbands birthday on Friday and would have loved to surprise him x

@Redjumperoo no they are different style tests, will attach pic, opk has round white end with dots which I have written on, pregnancy test has the other shape x

Ok sorry, I saw a poor girl get excited for a bfp before on what turned out to be an opk. Just wanted to check.
Hold tight, there's still time. Sorry you are upset today. So hard not to test early x

Mirrordash · 25/01/2023 10:27

I had something happen like this when I was pregnant with my 2nd DC. I tested at 5dpo (don't ask) and had a faint BUT obviously pink line.. I tested over the next few days and not a hint of a second line again, took it as the faint line was an indent or something (it come up within the time frame etc)

I tested one last time at 12dpo day of my period was due....and got another light positive which progressed from there. So weird!

I'd say re test again in a few days time just in case 😊

Mummy1502 · 25/01/2023 10:52

Thanks ladies, this thread is giving me hope, I’m still doing ovulation tests everyday just incase it peaks again however my cycles are fairly regular 28 days so I doubt I will ovulate now as it’s day 18 and I’m pretty sure I ovulated when it was positive had all the pain etc, this is the first cycle I’ve used ovulation tests so it’s all new to me, we have 4 children already so if it’s not meant to be I’ve still got our babies x

I've had something like this in the past few days. Tested at 6dpo (I know, I know) and got a faint but pink line. All bfn since. What I don't understand is how they can turn pink without the hgc hormone to react with the test strip?

This is my test from Monday xx

overthinkersanonnymus · 25/01/2023 11:03

It won't let me upload the pic 🙄

I ran a thread on it, here's the link and you can see my test is similar to yours. Xx

Half a bfp?? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4726812-half-a-bfp

Mirrordash · 25/01/2023 11:07

I don't know how true this is, so don't quote me on it... when I was googling at the time it happened to me I read a few times about the possibility of a sudden "surge" in hcg when the egg is fertilised maybe?

I don't want to give off false hope and no idea if that's even a thing though. Fingers crossed for a BFP 🤞🏻🤞🏻

positivethoughts1 · 25/01/2023 11:18

Oh gosh yes OP I'd forgotten when I replied to todays test that you are still only 7DPO! I didn't get anything until 10DPO on both pregnancies! Chin up, dont spend the day crying ❤️❤️❤️ xxx

Mummy1502 · 25/01/2023 11:31

@overthinkersanonnymus keep me updated with how yours goes and good luck x

@Mirrordash I hope so il test again tomorrow and just keep testing like a mad woman 😂 x

I’ve had a faint line on a Poundland cheapie this morning, would attach pic but camera doesn’t pick it up to see it, I can see it and so can my husband, will grab some others today as not sure how reliable the cheap ones are, although the Poundland cheapie I did yesterday didn’t even have a hint of a line so hopefully things are going in the right direction x

Mummy1502 · 26/01/2023 08:28

Il attach the pic anyway but it’s much more clear in person x

I can't see it OP but like you said, the camera isn't picking it up! Was it the FirstVue ones Poundland sell? Xxx

Mummy1502 · 26/01/2023 11:46

I can see something in your first Poundland cheapie! It’s still so so early but everything crossed!!

Mummy1502 · 26/01/2023 13:24

@Pollywoddles thankyou will keep updated x

Mannymoomin · 26/01/2023 14:11

I can see the beginning of a line on both.

Mummyo1 · 26/01/2023 14:45

I can just about see it. But remember, there's always 2 lines. The dye has to stick to it..so seeing a second line doesn't necessarily mean it's positive. Good luck xx

Mummy1502 · 26/01/2023 14:54

Thankyou x

Mummy1502 · 27/01/2023 07:57

I can see a very faint line for sure!!

will say though try and wait a few more days before testing as I was the same last month and tested at 8dpo and got a faint line and then went on to have a BFN. My doctor said it will have been a chemical pregnancy - would rather have not known if I’m honest.

we had a MMC on 7th Dec at 12 weeks, followed by the chemical pregnancy last month, hoping this month is more positive but no pressure! I’m currently 5dpo.

really hope it’s positive for you ❤️

Mummy1502 · 29/01/2023 22:05

I can see a faint line, hope all is well for you
