Hi I’m 6dpo for sure as I tracked with ovulation tests this month and I’ve got a positive pregnancy test, is this possible?

Update ladies, as I said I would, I stopped testing as felt disheartened (even for a couple of days) however I did a FRER today, everyone says is the best to try as can pick up hcg earlier than any other test, which came up negative so am losing hope for this month as I am now on cycle day 22 and due my period in the next week, I didn’t mention before but we lost a baby in November which i then had retained tissue, took a while for the bleeding to stop, I’m now worried I may have scar tissue that is affecting us falling pregnant again, I stopped using the ovulation tests which was my first cycle of trying, was only to see if I was ovulating which I did get positive ovulation tests for, clearly hasn’t resulted in a pregnancy so not sure I really ovulated, as hard as it is I will keep you all updated, as mentioned before we do already have 4 children which we are so thankful for just doesn’t change the disheartening feeling x

@Mummy1502 I wouldn't give up hope you are still a bit early to be testing so it might just be that it's too early for that test, good luck 🍀

Thankyou x

Retested this morning on a FRER I’m sure I can a faint line! X

In my opinion you're testing way too early.

I've had lots of faint lines on FRER and they've all been negative, I'm not pregnant yet, on cycle 4. Very unclear picture but it was clear as day in person. They are known for Evans and indents

@Mummyo1 this has been my first positive on the FRER (if it is positive) the line is there but not getting my hopes up, the FRER’s I have done before have all been negative not even faint lines, il retest tomorrow morning with a different brand, there’s an early one in my local pharmacy which is good so il grab those today x

All mine have always been stark white but this one wasn't and was still negative. FRER are known for it so i didn't get my hopes up. Test a little later when the results are more reliable. X

Mummy1502 · 30/01/2023 10:56

@Mummy1502 I got a positive with my first at 3.5 weeks with clearblue, the one that tells you in words if your pregnant, might be worth getting one takes out all the guess work with these lines x

Mummy1502 · 30/01/2023 11:49

Doctors are going to do my hcg bloods x

OP posts:
Redjumperoo · 30/01/2023 13:36

@Mummy1502 why are doctors doing bloods if you aren't due for 4 days? (I know tone doesn't carry, I don't mean to sound rude, genuinely curious)

Mummy1502 · 30/01/2023 13:37

It’s just to see if hcg is rising due to loss of baby before x

OP posts:
Mummyo1 · 30/01/2023 13:56

Strange they would normally only check for rising hcg if you have a positive test. I had a loss before too.
Good luck x

Mummy1502 · 30/01/2023 14:19

I have had 2 faint positives now, Thankyou x

Redjumperoo · 30/01/2023 15:33

I'm just surprised they're doing it so early, I've never heard of that before. I hope everything works out for you. Sorry for loss, it sounds like you've had a tough time x

Have started having small amounts of brown discharge today, maybe my period is coming x

OP posts:
Mummy1502 · 31/01/2023 15:52

Looks like period has arrived, only on cycle day 24, this is getting so disheartening, feel like my body is rejecting them x

OP posts:
Mummyo1 · 31/01/2023 15:59

@Mummy1502 I hate to say it but I don't think you were pregnant, try to lower your stress levels as that won't help you conceive x

Mummy1502 · 31/01/2023 16:13

@Mummyo1 I thought the same, looks like sex everyday doesn’t work 😂 x

OP posts:
Mummyo1 · 31/01/2023 16:52

I've actually heard sex every day releases more fluid than it does sperm x

Yes I was told this by my doctor too! I was told to have sex every other day to every 2 days as sperm will stay alive inside and waiting a few days Inbetween allows the stronger sperm to get though rather than fluid!! X

Mummyo1 · 31/01/2023 19:26

@Sav96 yes! It's WHEN you have sex and not how often. The days leading up, and ovulation day itself are your best chances, so maybe 2 or 3 times!

Sav96 · 31/01/2023 19:33

@Mummyo1 definitely! I fell pregnant having sex on Sunday and I ovulated on Tuesday so definitely doesn’t need to be every day, as long as it’s either got time to be alive inside while waiting for the egg or when it’s released! X

Mummy1502 · 01/02/2023 06:12

We are just a very sexually actively couple, will have to try resist lol x
