Hey everyone!

Is anyone else trying TTC #1?

I think I’m 9DPO although my cycles vary from 28-34 days so I’m really not sure. This is my first cycle TTC so I haven’t tracked ovulation.

I took a clear blue ultra early digital test this morning and BFN, I’ve heard digitals aren’t as accurate, is that true? (The way the test was laid and how I was sat meant the ‘not’ was in the shadow so for a second I thought it just said pregnant, was gutted!)

Any advice on not driving yourself mad during the TWW? 😂

move BD CD 13, CD17 and possibly tonight.
Would these days have been your choice or what days would you advise? 🙈
I haven’t told anyone outside this forum that we’re TTCing so can’t ask advice from family and friends.

@Nmmck93 I’m still a novice when it comes to OPKs, this only my second cycle using them but I think that sounds good! If this isn’t your cycle then next I’d say try BD every other day when you think it’s ovulation week, that’s going by what I’ve read others say 😅😂

Aw this is my second month TTC but first month using OPKs because my apps are predicting my ovulation wrong. If this month isn't my month, I think next month once I see the test line getting darker I might BD every other day until I see it drop again. 🙈
So stressful and exciting all in one.
I just don't it to feel like it's becoming a chore and take the fun away from being intimate lol.

@Nmmck93 I think that sounds like a good idea!!

But definitely agree about not wanting it be a chore! We managed 4 days in a row around ovulation which for me is too much 😅😂

I go from feeling excited to stressed very quickly! 😂

@kalixxx oh I'm exactly like you, I stress so bad. My other half is the most laid back person ever he may aswell be constantly horizontal which then stresses me out more 😂 we're in the process of closing our first house so he has taken that full stress of that off me so that I don't overstress & says my body will go through enough with TTC and Pregnancy.

@Nmmck93 I think it’s a man thing because they’re not stuck in their body wondering what’s going on all the time 😅😂

Hi guys do you think this is a positive opk? My second cycle with them, I'm on my 5th cycle of ttc #1... Last time I ovulated on day 18 according to opks. Also trying bbt from this month, I'm already panicking something is wrong bc we want this so bad :( also I work night shifts in hospital often so that doesn't help

I’m still getting used to OPKs but I think it needs to be a little darker than this, have you taken another test this one?

Try not to stress that something is wrong! The odds aren’t in our favour with only a 20-25% chance each month! I do understand though, this is only cycle 3 for me I’m already thinking is there something wrong. Just got to try and stay positive and look at the facts, most couples do conceive in the first year, we’ve still got lots of chances! ❤️

I think I've used those tests, if they are one step. Had a bad experience with them this month, reading very low & negative. I dip these and also the easy @ home into the same urine and the easy @ homes have been so much more accurate and found my peak on them yesterday where as those cheap ones where still coming up negative.
Maybe try changing brand. To me that looks negative but does seem like your surge is coming though if you find they are accurate for you.

It is so hard not to stress! Especially when you feel like you are ready but nothing is happening.

This was taken around 9am. Will test maybe at 8pm to see any progress perhaps

@dormicumema definitely test again later this evening and fingers crossed it’ll be darker!

@Nmmck93 thats really interesting about the different tests giving you different results, I might try the easy @ home next cycle (fingers crossed I won’t have a next cycle but I do 😅) Also considering trying temping!

Hi all, hoping I can hop onto this thread, waiting for AF to start cycle 2 of trying, it's nice to read I'm not the only one who was obsessed on cycle 1 but feeling much more relaxed this cycle after researching different ways to check for ovulation along with OPK tests, Good luck to everyone 😊🤞

I guess this is a positive from cd18 pm, finally 😂and my temp this morning has risen... I guess I ovulated yesterday then.. Onto tww.
How are you guys doing? When will you test?

@BexTTC welcome to the thread! 🥰 you’re definitely not alone, I was obsessed from the 1st cycle. I was also naive enough to think it would happen 1st try which I think is why I got so obsessed with testing because I was like this has to happen!

I’m going to try temping next month if this isn’t my cycle!

@dormicumema ah that’s definitely a peak! I might be wrong so someone please correct me but I believe you ovulated about 24 hours after your peak? That could be completely wrong I’m still new to OPKs!

I’m about 10 DPO and tested again this morning, BFN ☹️ I have no more tests now and will be busy over the weekend so won’t test until Monday. I have a gut feeling this won’t be our cycle! ☹️

Not sure, perhaps if I take the morning opk as a positive it would make sence for this bbt reading this morning... I don't know, it is so strange for me. Maybe I should try with some other opk brand.
I think 10 dpo is also early and doesn't mean you won't get jor bfp! Fingers crossed. Don't test until 14 dpo! Busy weekend is good, you might be distracted and then who knows! Aah I hate this gut feeling thing, I know what you are talking about... But you cannot sure if it is gut feeling or just tww anxiety anyway

@dormicumema what brand of OPKs are you using? I've heard Easy@ home are really good and accurate.

@kalixxx 10dpo is definitely still early so don't count yourself out just yet 🤞

I’m currently 1DPO now today so I’m in my TWW. Going to try my hardest until 14DPO to test which is 7th of April but AF is due 6th if she’s gunna come. (I ovulate late).
now I’ve to keep my mind occupied for 2 weeks lol.

@kalixxx ow sorry to hear about your tests so far, but as others have said it is still early and anything can happen until AF shows! At least it's Friday now, I always find the TWW easier at the weekends, it's so hard not to just think about it when at home working. Really hope luck is coming your way soon xx

Welcome other ladies to the thread ! ✨ hope we get some more bfps on here soon. Re OPK tests I think it is about 24 hours after your peak that you ovulate. From scrolling threads for the last two months it seems that easy@home ones along with premom app is the best way to find your peak!

@BexTTC thats what I’m trying to remind myself, just ignore the negative gut feeling!

@Nmmck93 ahh welcome to the dreaded TWW, definitely try your best and hold out, easier said that done though isn’t it 😅

@Piglet34 I definitely find it much easier at the weekend! Working from home is a nightmare because I always have the option to nip out and get tests or spend time scrolling on here 😅😂

Are you using OPKs this cycle or just seeing what happens with it being the Christmas due date cycle? Xx

@kalixxx dot ‘t give up yet, give it another 4 days before testing! Hopefully the BFP comes to you soon. It’s actually best not to have tests at home because sometimes it’s hard to get out to a shop to buy them whereas if you have them at home you feel obliged to test. Which is my dread because I have quite a few at home which my partner has now hid on me 🙈

@BexTTC i use the easy @ home ones and cheap ones at the same time and the easy @ home ones have been the only ones to find my peak and give an accurate read.

@dormicumema did you use FMU? Going by this forum second morning urine is more accurate for peak after holding as long as you can and not drinking fluids a lot. Which I did this month and got the best result yet. Also I try stop taking fluids around 5pm and then test around 8pm for my evening test (which was higher this month) I know it’s easier said than done.

@Nmmck93 I may have to invest in easy@ home ones then as I struggled last month to find my actual peak with the cheap ones I bought

Has anyone else found prenatals have completely messed up their cycles? Mine were always 30 days and last cycle was 42! This cycle is looking to be the same, so frustrating!

@BexTTC i use one step, not with the fmu. Usually around 9am
Maybe my bbt charting is going wrong and I am about to ovulate. Just have to keep dtd then 😋

On my 3rd cycle my period actually came 4 days earlier with prenatals, so I switched only to folic. I think that the iron supplement in it somehow did sth

@BexTTC in fairness everyone is different, I was using one step but my results where always classes as negative and never the same as control line or darker but some people find that one step works for them. Maybe give easy @ home a go on your next cycle and test with second morning urine after a hold and then later in the evening and see how you get on.

@dormicumema one step never ever gave me a positive or a peak which made me believing I wasn’t ovulating so this month I switched to easy @ home they work for me. But as I said to Bex everyone finds different tests better than others so it’s just about finding what works for you and sticking to it.
