He wants another baby as much as I do, he just doesn't care when, he was the same with ds I just decided when I wanted to ttc and he didnt care. He is just worried that I'll get depressed again when the weight doesnt just fall off within a few weeks like it has with most of my friends.
He just thinks a xmas baby will be fun.

He is extremely easy to put up with, he changes his mind all the time.

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 09:33

Thanks for not chewing my head off! I suppose you will be used to it all by now. So when exactly do you want to TTC? Would he just go along with it? Are you worried about being depressed again? Could you talk to your HV or GP about depression and see if there are any ways you can try to ward it off before it starts, to put your's and your DH's mind at rest, before you start TTC'ing?

Christmas babies are fun, but then when you have a birthday and christmas('s, for your DS1 and DC2) in the same month it is harder!

I think if I were you, from what you've said I'd decide on the right time for all of you and stick to it, let him change his mind but still stick to the time in mind, then when it comes to that time look at what he says then and take it from there.

kayzisbroody · 11/02/2008 09:40

I'd like to start in April/May. It might seem wierd but I dont want a baby this year I'd rather have one early next year. He would just go along with it, he isnt really bother when, we could start now and I dont think he would mind.

I'm not worried about being depressed again as I wasnt really that bad before more annoyed at all these celebs just getting back to their pre baby body with a few weeks.

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 09:49

Yeah but the schlebs have a lovely surgeon waiting as soon as they give birth/have a CS. It isn't real life at all.

Can't believe I have just said 'yeah but' again.... my standards are slipping!

Nothing weird about wanting a baby early next year, most of us on here are hoping for around then.

I would say stick to April/May in your head, and if he will just go along with it, then take no notice of him when he says he's changed his mind, just nod and make the right noises. I don't know what else to suggest.

kayzisbroody · 11/02/2008 09:55

I couldnt have plastic surgery, it'd probably go wrong knowing my luck.
Dh would go along with anything I said, it means he gets to have some fun
As long as we can practice he says he doesn't care.

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 10:00

LOL Typical bloke!

Where's Playing?

kayzisbroody · 11/02/2008 10:04

I know. Thats all he said when we were ttc ds.
Im not sure where Playing is

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 10:08

She's not been on since Thursday Hope she is OK.

You got anything planned for the week?

kayzisbroody · 11/02/2008 10:10

No, I'm back at work this week, but its only tuesday evening and all day thursday. Going to the big swimming pool in York with my friend and her little sister friday which should be fun.
Have you got anything planned?

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 10:13

Only to work my way through the house getting cleared and cleaned up. Have hardly touched any of it since the MC, what with having the cold and everything, it is offically a shit tip at the moment, and it is driving me mad. DS1 is on half term next week so I'll spend all this week tidying up just for him to wreck it again next week! ...And I want another one.... must be bloody insane!

kayzisbroody · 11/02/2008 10:16

I know, I've got the old gerbil cage to get rid off.
I really need to have a good sort out, we have so much stuff we dont need or use to get rid off

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 10:23

Tell me about it, the big plan for this year (other than TTC'ing!) is to go through the rooms one by one, hire a couple of big skips, get rid of anything we don't actually need, decorate, and then move onto the next room. It help's us either way, it will get the house ready to go on the market, and hopefully someone will buy it before 2020, or at least it will give us much needed space for another body in here!

Cosmogirl · 11/02/2008 10:40

Morning all,

Just thought I'd pop my head in and say hi. I've not been on much but still lurk from time to time.
Last pill to take tomorrow!! Ekk....
Also last week of my notice before a blissful week off work before starting the new job.
Hope you all had good weekends. It was really painful getting out of bed this morning.

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 10:46

Hiya Cosmo, it is nice to see you

I hope your last week goes OK, are you having a leaving 'do' of any kind?

You will, in a very strange way, miss taking the pill, it was always part of my nightly routine, and for ages after I stopped taking it I felt I had forgotten something all the time!

Diege · 11/02/2008 11:07

Morning girls! Just a few minutes to post before colleagues get back and start peeking over my shoulder!
Wow Kay, so full speed ahead for ttc then? Agree with Natalie that if it were me I think I'd like a bit more clarity from dh, but hey if you're happy with his dithering then we're happy . I'm the same with wanting a new baby next year as opposed to the end of this one. I've had 2 November babies and while it was lovely, would like to enjoy Christmas knowing that I have something to look forward to in a few months time! (Plus I can hopefully wear my gorgeous Isabella Oilver dress that I have saved from last time at the Xmas parties - I am so shallow I know - planning a pregnancy around a dress ).
Good plan NJ re: getting the house sorted. Always best to take things one room at a time I think. Gives you a growing sense of accomplishment, and at the same time seems 'do-able' too . Hey now your implantation bleed seems to have petered off, might be a good time to test as there should be enough HCG in your system???. Just a thought, although I wouldn't be able to wait personally! (you test when you are ready hun ). And good going onn the shagging . I've promised dh tonight, and now I wish I'd 'got it out of the way' last night . I'm just sooo tired at the moment!
Hi COSMO!! Wow, the new job seems to have arrived really quickly! Enjoy your week off
Right, best get back to it!

kayzisbroody · 11/02/2008 11:12

Just come back from town and I have folic acid at last!!!
Also I have got some more diet cookbooks from the library. I got ww baked beans too and reduced fat coleslaw (I wanted the creamy one ) I feel really good.

Diege he always dithers about everything, like just know he wanted tea then coffee, made tea and now wants coffee!! Its a normal way of life for me

kayzisbroody · 11/02/2008 11:13

I'm having one of those days today. I cant get bold to work or underline or anything!!

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 11:13

PMSL at the thought of testing now, I'll leave it for now thanks hun

I think it is perfectly OK planning a baby around a dress, can't think of anything more important to plan it around actually... I can't believe anyone would think anything different hun.

Oh god, I am going to get into a habit of typing hun to everyone now.... I will be chased off MN for life.

kayzisbroody · 11/02/2008 11:19

I have just thought of another reason to lose weight, so when I do get pg I can fit into my old maternity clothes. I've got loads of nice stuff that I cant wear now.

Oh and dh just weighed himself and I weigh over a stone more than him

Cosmogirl · 11/02/2008 12:40

Hey, no big leaving do planned - just out to lunch on Thurs with a few friends from work. Should be nice. What is this about you testing NJ?? Have I missed something major?
I love the word 'hun' - use it far too often!

BeMyLilBaby · 11/02/2008 12:42

Hello all, god what a busy monday! cosmo your do sounds nice!

you've all been busy again, i struggle to keep up

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 12:50

LOL Cosmo, no I am only on CD7 or there abouts, and we hadn't even had unprotected sex anyway, but Diege was convinced () my full blown AF was an implantation bleed...! She's a funny'un Your lunch sounds good, make the most of it

I've chucked all of my maternity stuff away, else I'd have been in it last month! Oh well, gives me an excuse for more shopping I suppose

kayzisbroody · 11/02/2008 12:52

I have come to a decison. I am not going to start my pill tomorrow!!
I'm going to let my cycle get back to normal.

NatalieJane · 11/02/2008 12:59

Whooooo hooooooooooooooo, another one bites the dust

I don't know if this thread is helping or hindering our efforts of waiting....!

Just hope I am not next to succombe!!

Diege · 11/02/2008 13:09

COSMO - Were we that convincing?! . Excellent! I'm sure we will all look back in a few months time and shake our heads in disbelief at how flippant we were, when we all become DEADLY SERIOUS when out ttc month comes .
