I am here...just fake tanned, and painting toenails as we speak! off to works xmas night out tomorrow night and I have booked a room also!

Have champagne in my room first then its drinks in the bar then its party night! ( bought today some body glitter and gold glitter hairspray!!!!! for the occation!)

I have no idea Jed - I think Cockenzie/hester CAT me on weds mornin and I didn't get it till the evening but i'll let u know once i've had it.

Hello all. Not much going on here. 5 days till AF is due, and the waiting is killing me. So happy to have found this thread. I can't believe how long its gotten already, thank goodness for broadband.

Well i knew it af arrived this morning i was expecting it anyway so iam off that list here goes another month.
well its a 25 day cycle for me this month. Off now to visit babycentre.com to work out my ov date. back soon.

can anyone tell me how to work out ov date. My cyle has been about 35 days lately. I used to be 28 so every month live in hope but af is always a week late, so I've gathered I'm now on 35 days cycle for some reason. Is ov right in the middle of cycle? I haven't got a clue but dh works nights and we have very little time for 'you know what' so would like it to be accurate! Good luck to everyone else trying. Here's hoping for a new year full of new babies

OK so my ov dates will be between the 17th to the 21st dec op on 15th so will see how the bding goes. if i fall pg that month i will be due just after dh birthday.

awww sorry about that tania (((((hugs))))) heres to next month thou (and at least u can have a tipple at xmas)

bonnie - you can use the OV kits at home, or the baby centre which tania's on about does an online calc for you. (of course that doesn't know ur functions thou as it were)

Bonnie try looking up babycentre.com under trying to get pg then interactive tools you put in the date of your last af and how many days your cycle is then they give you a few days to make sure you bd around that time it also gives you your expected date that you would be due to have baby if you did succeed that month. HTH

thanks jingleballs. how do you use an ov kit though feel very embarassed at my ignorance. Tania also sorry about af arriving. as jb said at least you can have a drink over christmas and at least it's the start of a new cycle. good luckxx

oh bonnie... well...

you can get two sorts, the one u pee on (mid stream I think they call them) or the case type ones were u pee into a pot of some sort them pipett some drops onto the test stip. (feeling v much like a mad scientist! lmao)

I've just gone on the babycentre website and my fertile days are between 20 - 24 December so looks like dh will be getting an early christmas pressie on christmas eve does it mean that you've got no chance the rest of the month?

well not exactly, god wheres hula and hester when u need them (they're the best ppl to talk to about the whole OV lark!)

you should BD from the start of your fertile period... ie when u feel CM changing ( I think that's the right way around?)

what's cm? sorry jb it's like teaching a child isn't it. I've never really tried before it's always just happened and I think I took it for granted that if I wanted to be pg I could. Now I realise it's not always that easy

CM is cervical Mucus - yes lovely I know, it changes at differnet points in your cycle. depending on where u r in it. the EWCM (egg white cm) in hesters words is the 'dogs bollocks ' so that's what you want to be looking out for.

tbh girls iam not that really fussed that af showed up yes it would have been nice not to have to have the op but since my girlfriend had her etopic pg and i have found out that it is very common in endo sufferers cause of blocked tubes i am glad i will be having a good clean out and wont have to be so scared that it might happen to me IYKWIM. have to go now taking ds to toddler kindy we are going on a train ride today so he is all excited. will catch up later when you are all sound asleep.
Sorry for not welcoming you bonnie you will find out heaps of info on here and dont be too shocked on what we all talk about. if you wondering why i would be taking my ds to kindy at night well i live in australia and its 8:30 am here.
