jingleballs · 07/12/2004 16:58

OK i'm getting depressed the work comp is on ISDN and slow! Cockenzie after 6 months of TTC u'll be doing all u can to get PG! lol.

Anyhow cos this comp is so slow and crappy i'm gonna shoot off home and catch up with u all there... 3 days off this week wooohooo so I can chat on ehre all the time.

(found this site by accident as well cockenzie. was looking for a site for other amry wives, and this one poped up - Must be the way I type things in, have been here for about 2/3 months, and started out a nice mellow kind girl.... the quiet one in the corner... then.... then... Hester and Jeddah currupted my innocent eyes! :o ) he he

hester · 07/12/2004 16:59

Twigs - if you know what day you ovulate (which presumably you do, give or take 24 hours) then dpo is however many days past that you are e.g. dpo 4 if you ov'ed four days ago. Some people like to do this because they count from when they've ov'd before testing (e.g. it takes at least 12 days past ovulation for a BFP to show up, so I will wait till dpo 14 before testing).

I actually find it easier to count from the first day of my last period,, so I think of testing at cd 28.

Does that help? Or have I missed the point?

HellKat · 07/12/2004 16:59

Back, babba fed and having quick kip so i get my net fix!
Bye cockenzie tc hb.
Tyvm hester!! i now know what the abbreviations are!!

Whatcha think?

hester · 07/12/2004 17:01

jb - me and jedds are not only old enough to be unshockable, but we both work or have worked in maternity and sexual health services (jeddah more at the sharp end, as it were) so we are a mine of truly disgusting information!

runtus · 07/12/2004 17:01

Oh my god, I go off and actually do some work for 5 mins and you lot go mad on the thread!!!!!

I can't keep up - the last bit I got was "is that waht you find in your pants?"!!!!!!GrinGrinGrin

Nutters the lot of you!

Twiga · 07/12/2004 17:01

Colin it's nothing bad, honest. BlackAdder is a Brit comedy starring Rowan Atkinson (also does
Mr Bean) and is set in different time periods - main character is Edmund BlackAdder, has sidekick called Baldric. "BlackAdder goes forth" is set in the 1st WW and one of the characters is called Bob, who they all think is a young guy but is infact a girl - cue many puns/slightly dodgy jokes at this point. Se the following for an explanation that makes more sense....\link{http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/blackadder/\Blackadder}

hester · 07/12/2004 17:02

Go on HellKat, go go go! We dare you Grin

hester · 07/12/2004 17:02

Admit it, you don't want to be left out of mucus discussions! Grin

HellKat · 07/12/2004 17:04

It's only a month earlier lol. He'll be the happiest bunny alive.
How long have you been trying Hester?

HellKat · 07/12/2004 17:05

Gotta admit, I've learnt a thing or two! Great to know there's alot of women out there who know LOADS about their bodies! (handy for us lil newbies lol)

Twiga · 07/12/2004 17:05

Thanks Hester, you're a star...kinda know when but not 100% sure coz...TMI WARNING...seem to get EWCM for at least 3/4 days...might be easier to stick to counting CD's instead

HellKat · 07/12/2004 17:07

Same here Twiga. Thought it was the norm

Colinsawmommykissingsantaclaus · 07/12/2004 17:07

Interesting Blackadder. Kinda funny. I just realized that if everyone called me CM, I'd be mixed up with cervical mucus, and that's not good. Goodbye for now to the lot of you, colin just woke up from his nap and needs second breakfast. Then I have to go to a baby shower, where over half of the women there are pregnant. Envy

HellKat · 07/12/2004 17:08

Bye Colin's take care. Nice to have met you x

Twiga · 07/12/2004 17:13

Cue some classic Blackadder moments -

BOB: I just wanted to be like my brothers! I wanted to see how a war was fought, so badly!
BLACKADDER: Well, you've come to the right place, Bob. A war hasn't been fought this badly since Olaf the Hairy, high chief of all the vikings, accidentally ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside.

OR

BLACKADDER: Bob, you're a girl, and you have the same talent for disguise as a giraffe in sunglasses trying to get into a polar-bears-only golf club.

Twiga · 07/12/2004 17:14

Hellkat, think it is the norm, but it means I'm not really sure where abouts in those 3/4 days I ovulate/release egg (makes me sound like a chicken really, doesn't it?)

HellKat · 07/12/2004 17:15

Lmao

HellKat · 07/12/2004 17:16

I read somewhere (some magazine) that women always ovulate between midight and 6am for some reason. The trick though, is finding out exactly when!

Twiga · 07/12/2004 17:20

Flippin heck Hellkat, that could be tricky I'm mostly always sound asleep at that kinda time, good job it's got a long hike!

HellKat · 07/12/2004 17:26

I know! Makes you wonder who actually researched that eh?
That was the same article that reckons sex at 6am is the best time (going on the thoery that you actually ovulate between 12-6) as you're meant to be all relaxed. In reality, baby's waking up, dp's getting ready for work, so doesn't look hopeful lol

jingleballs · 07/12/2004 17:29

sex at 6am??? what time of the day is that again? ( I struggle to wake up at 7 let alone 6!) he he

jingleballs · 07/12/2004 17:30

bye cmum (what about that one?)
