cockenzie · 07/12/2004 08:13

which ones of you ladies are ttc their no1? not no2 but no1 atm?

cockenzie · 07/12/2004 08:14

i honestly thought that once i have my no1 i would be more relaxed for no2 and would be able to wait and take it easy.i was so wrong!! maybe b ecos u get the taste of motherhood and love so much that u want to carry on even more !!

jingleballs · 07/12/2004 08:14

i'm TTC #1

jingleballs · 07/12/2004 08:16

not only is it bloomin hard work, it's also annoyin when u see younger ppl, (who ddin't even try) with about 3 kids around their ankles, (no offense if that is any one on here thou) it's not fair! y can't we all be super fertile!

cockenzie · 07/12/2004 08:19

cani ask how old u r?

RudyDudy · 07/12/2004 08:19

jb - not sure about this whole line thing on persona (when I used it before I had no idea it was an opk too!) but I have had one strong line every day which I have presumed to mean that the test worked (like a hpt iykwim). Can anyone enlighten us? Or does it need a call to the persona helpline?

Morning all - no BD for me last night Sad Me too tired and DH too p**d BlushReckon that's our last chance for this month gone so now it's back on the waiting game...I'm CD22/35.

Hope all are well and swimming in babydust ~~~~

cockenzie · 07/12/2004 08:20

I shouldnt say that and i am embarrased to say it , but nowadays when i see a pregnant woman or a woman with 3 kids, i get jealous. is that normal?

RudyDudy · 07/12/2004 08:22

totally cockenzie - and I know just how you feel about wanting #2. As I said last night, I really thought I'd be cool with it all but I'm sooo not! For me I think it's partly that I feel so lucky to have a beautiful DS and I don't know if we will be lucky twice. I hate it when people say "oh but you know you can have more because you've had one" Angry.

cockenzie · 07/12/2004 08:30

rudy - how long have u been ttc no2?

hester · 07/12/2004 08:47

OK, the madness starts here: first cramp, hot breasts, obviously I'm pregnant/about to have a period/going out of my head!

It feels a long wait to next Wednesday (think that's when I'm due, but as this is not a normal cycle I can't be sure). Last night I felt a bit sick and had to fight excitement, despite knowing that (a) it was far more likely to be caused by a monster portion of macaroni cheese, eaten too quickly and too late at night, and (b) it is WAY too early for morning sickness!

Help me, people! I'm losing it Grin

anyway, cockenzie - as well as jb, me and jeddah are ttc1. And me and jedds are racing against our biological clocks so it feels really Sad

jb - occasionally I get a blue mess and you can only treat it as an invalid test i.e. you don't know whether it would have shown a line. I think this usually happens to me when I've peed for too long on the stick, or maybe splashed the window or something (sorry to be indelicate, but I'm sure you can take it!)

So Sad that Becki and Shely seem to have left the thread. Hope they're OK. Particularly worried about our Becki.

cockenzie · 07/12/2004 08:51

how do u mean 'racing against ur biological clocks'? u sound like u are geting too old ??

jingleballs · 07/12/2004 08:52

Cockenzie i'm 22, well will be 23 prob by the time we manage to concieve (god i didn;t want to be that old) - no offense to you older guys here).

Jeddah - Forgot to menton last night have u had the 21 day blood tests done yet? My GP wouldn't refer me until I had had those done, so that caused a 2 month delay (well 6 weeks ish) apparently the gyno at our local hospital specialises in infertility so hopefully she'll have some answers, but for the minute I don't want to go on Clomid if theres another option, (but in about 6mt - 1yr I may feel differently).

Apparently i've had this purple die thing done before (i don't know what they call it) the one when they check ur tubes are clear, in my case they used it to check the goings on in the patuirty gland, by all accounts I screamed when the nursed tried to inject it (was only 5/6 so don't remeber) but mum says she was cryin as well cos of it... makes me wonder...."why am I doin this" still, I think it's only since we've been TTC i've realised how hard parents actually have it.

hester · 07/12/2004 08:53

I definitely am. I'm 40; have been trying (on and off) since I was 35 Sad

hester · 07/12/2004 08:53

jb - no offence taken, but PMSL at you being too old! Grin

hester · 07/12/2004 08:55

Sorry, didn't mean to be insensitive. Of course I sympathise with your wish to have your children while you are still young and sprightly, it's just that as someone OLD ENOUGH TO BE YOUR MOTHER (horrors!) feeling too old for ANYTHING at 23 (except, perhaps, watching Blue Peter) seems a long way away!

jingleballs · 07/12/2004 08:56

Damn - I can't do another test as i'm at work now, hopefully will be ok, prob did do the too long thing! u know me hester, not much can surprise! lol.

I keep tellin u hon, stop putting pressure on urself..... i'll do it 4 u! :o he he. Don't worry about the madness thing.......

2 of the girls are due this month and next so when out buyin their baby clothes as a gift... i've been havin great restraint in not popping a little extra thing in for us! (am still kniting away happily thou!)

as for weds, seems a long waya way, but hey, er.... what's ont his weekend, ooooh jonny depps on Disney channel! keep busy if u can

jingleballs · 07/12/2004 08:57

PMPL @ hester, ah on here hon what's age! :o we're all in the same boat.... it's just... I still get asked ID for fags and u don't! :o he he he.

hester · 07/12/2004 09:06

In cyberspace I'm a tall gorgeous blonde! (Actually, in RL I'm a tall gorgeous blonde too Grin)

You a knitter, jb? Me too, though haven't done any for a while. I think you've inspired me, though. I love knitting baby clothes and it's the right time of year for it. I'd find it too upsetting to knit for my own baby, but the hospital where I work is always desperate for volunteers to knit for the weeny preemies, so I think I'll do some of that. Anyone know where I can get some good preemie knitting patterns? (maybe I should start a thread...)

Ouch, my breasts are sore. Here we go!

fastasleep · 07/12/2004 09:08

I'm sneaking on, just for a minute Blush I'll go away again, I shouldn't even be here at my age and you'd all throw me off or lynch me or something lol...

But erm, does anyone know anything about Superdrug tests, only... I tested way too early this month (at like 2dpo what a plonker) and wasted lots of money, and then promised myself I wouldn't buy any more tests, I had a superdrug ownbrand kicking about and tried that on Sunday (my period was due on the 1st).. I think I did the too much pee thing Blush as for ages and ages it was just a pink mess but finally it cleared with a small faint dot for the control and a weird line in the test window... although I swear that's a crease in the actual test, as it's meant to be a dot lol...Did it work properly do you think? Or does the too much pee make it invalid because I'm still waiting for AF and it's never been this late before and I'm going to go insane!!

Don't worry Hester, you think you're going crazy - pah! Wink

jingleballs · 07/12/2004 09:15

Is cyber space i'm 5'8 and look like claudia sheiffer (sp)

I do knit, have done some lovely little bits for us (mainly when we first started and it was good fun!) have done a few bits for friends as well, I do have a premie pattern (the squares one) if u want me to send it over, also i've got a load of others as well which are dead sute if u want copys of them (the MIL has sent them down so some are quite old fashioned!)

RudyDudy · 07/12/2004 09:16

can any answer me a quick question? (and I hope it's not too stupid Blush) but...is it still worth bd'ing after you have O. I don't know when I did this month but I'm presuming it's around 20/21 as it usually is. Today I'm CD22 so if I did O in the last couple of days would it be worth BD today as well???
