jed looks like we got there just in time with the ebay thing, just had a look now for cockenzie and they're all £30 ish with 2 days to go still.

Hulababy · 06/12/2004 17:46

Good luck to you waiting.

Seem to have lost my BBT thermometer at the moment. Have no idea where it's gone. I suspect DD may have had it playing doctors with - now have to find it!!!

runtus · 06/12/2004 18:53

Hello again, thanks for the welcome Jingleballs

  • home now and just picked up my new pills from the chemist. I've taken my first one and I know it;s daft but fell loads better already! Got to wait 10 days now to finish the course and trhen I should have a period, on day 2 I start the Clomid!

Jeddah - he gave me the Clomid as my cycles were getting longer and longer (as this one shows!) and when I have ablood test, it showed I wasn't ovulating. I had to be very precise about my cycles (the average thing seemed to help) and ask directly if it was becuase I wasn;t ovulating. Dr seemed to like that I had tried to find out the cause rather than just moaning it was taking ages to get pg. He reckons that I should be pg within a couple of months of taking Clomid!!!!

DP is now terrified I am going to turn into a hormonal monster due to all the built up 'pressure'!

Colinsawmommykissingsantaclaus · 06/12/2004 19:54

Sorry about AF Hula and Morningpaper. I know I am late, but have been gone and just gotten back to a computer.

jeddah · 06/12/2004 20:41

JB it seems we did buys our personas at the right time....I am sure though if cockenzie keeps an eye on ebay she will get a good deal. Cos thats the thing with ebay isn't it.....you have to put a bit of elbow grease into it, to get the best deals.

Not sure now how the Drs will go....as I am ovulating but all over the place....23,29,30,26,35,24. I am sure I have heard that they can put you on clomid to regulate your periods????? Anyone out there know?

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 20:44

no idea with that jed, but when I asked if the dr could give me something to help out with the syptoms etc... I was having - the sick boob thing and generally ratty and being a bitch, he said there was stuff he could give me to help the hormones, but wouldn't as they'd effect my chances of conveiving - I took that to assume it would be a similar thing to the pill and chose not to go ahead.

How was the gym? (I missed swimming tongiht in favour of baking my xmas cake...... god i'm naughty, haven't been for a week.... must go on thurs)

jeddah · 06/12/2004 20:47

Hi JB the gym was fab! (well dead boring really ,but I felt better after I had done my work out!) would rather have cooked a xmas cake !!

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 20:51

well the rate my cake is going it will still be cooking at bloo*y new years, (i've got the second family recipe!, had the sponge one last month) Fingers crossed for the drs for u. Have u had to have the purple thing done to test if ur tubes are blocked (if u don't mind me asking a personal q)

jeddah · 06/12/2004 20:53

No I haven't JB

I am now wondering what the first referral will entail....does anyone know?????

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 20:55

for the gyno u mean?

jeddah · 06/12/2004 20:57

yes, JB I mean the Gynae Doc
My Dr said she would referr me after 1 yr and now that is here, so I am now wondering what the first meeting with the Gynae doc will entail???

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 20:59

well tell u what hon, seen as how we seem to be shadowing each other to a degree, I have my gyno app on the 11th Jan (I only had to wait 8 weeks as well) so if i'm first i'll let u know and vice versa?)

I did ask my mum thou (given we're so close) what I should expect and she seems to think the first app is all about getting to know each other the back ground story, poss taking blood etc... I have to take a urine sample along with me thou.

jeddah · 06/12/2004 21:01

Thanks JB good luck for the 11th......if you don't mind me asking why where you referred??

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 21:05

two reasons,

  1. I was being a pain in the drs backside! he he no seriously my dr was excellent he said once we'd been trying for 6 months to go and see him if nothing had happened, we went at 41/2 months as DH was flying out to Iraq, (told the dr was 6 thou as I wanted it to be sorted for when DH is home) DH had is count done, was normal first time, I had two blood tests done, (one normal one low) - the normal one was on cycle 6.

  2. given my past gyno problems from when I was a child I wanted to be referred ASAP incase anything was majorly wrong I wanted to know sooner rather than later. Only havin 1 ovary makes me a bit more protective over it.

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 21:05

(don't mind askin - don't remember much from my prev gyno probs as I was 5 when it all started)

jeddah · 06/12/2004 21:07

I see JB thanks for that

I have decided to insist on clomid, I am not going to take any more fob offs not at my age!

Right off down stairs to watch a bit of tele!

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 21:08

ah RL, I vaguly remeber that b4 mumsnet! :o have a good one hon, fingers crossed 4 u!

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 22:13

hi girls

afterva while of thinking about it,if dont get pg this month i'll get persona.do u have to buy a new 1 every month? what annoys me,i know it may sound silly, but if u follow the instructions,do everything u have to do on time and so on, why dont u get pregnant then?

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 22:15

it only moniters the fertility it's not a sure thing as it were!

you need to buy the test sticks each month for £10.

RudyDudy · 06/12/2004 22:20

hi cockenzie - you don't buy a new machine each month but you do have to buy testing sticks. The first month you need two packs (16) but after that it is one pack of sticks a month.

As for the other bit - if I knew the answer to that I'd be a rich woman Grin

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 22:21

lol@rudy, good to c u hon

(munnzieb er) how's things ur end, any news yet?

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 22:22

but u dontbuy a newmonitor each month.thats the most expensive

cockenzie · 06/12/2004 22:23

any of yous believe in fate/astrology/premonitions/future/mediums?

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 22:23

nope, u keep the same moniter once u've bought it once, then just get the test sticks, so it's not really much more expensive than buyin the OV kits, but the persona is more acurate.

jingleballs · 06/12/2004 22:23

yes Cockenzie I do.
