Looking for TTC buddies! (November/December 2022)

Hi all,

I don't have any friends who are TTC and I feel like I need a little support group out with my other half. There are loads of threads here but they are so long, I didn't know where to start so thought I'd create a new thread.

I'm 33, TTC baby number 1 (Edinburgh). I'm currently on cycle 5, just about to enter my fertile window on CD 11. I had my copper coil removed in July this year and I am tracking along with OPKs. I seem to be ovulating with the dark positive line, although a little later on day 18 -19. I'm hoping to see my ovulation come forward a bit.

How is everyone getting on? I am overall very positive and can't wait to get a BFP. I'm still getting used to the lingo!

Has anyone had pink blood streaks aka spotting through what looks like ewcm on cd22. Going to do a test tomorrow just incase. But wondering if anyone had this and it was a good thing 🤞

I should add I'm now cd23 not had any more spotting since. I'm a week away from AF it's not normal for me to spot infact I have never spotted except from a long time ago (over a year) when I was on the mini pill. I do have some period type pains but nothing major

@Tartanhaggis can't help you properly I'm afraid, but I'm in a similar situation, just I'm a few days behind you! I'm on CD20 been having a really light bleed on and off since around CD16/17 sometimes spots like yours in CM, other times like a light bleed more like when you get a bleed through off the pill, all of it a pinky colour or brown, never red! I've had some cramping like you as well, enough I can tell its there but not like full blown cramping more just a discomfort if that makes sense? Im really nauseous today too had an odd feeling in my nipples yesterday but that's gone. No idea whether to try and test yet as AF isn't due until the 16th so technically still too early to even use an early detection but wondering if my cycle is slightly ahead of what I thought 🤷‍♀️

Hoping for good news but not holding my breath, but fingers crossed its good for you and hopefully someone will pop up with some better advice!

I did another test today but negative although I think it's still too early. The tests I'm using say early on the packet but I think they are hcg20 tests so might not show up as yet anyway . Going to wait until Sunday now. The only time I could of got pregnant when we dtd was the day after my period unless it's been from pre-ejac (tmi I know) but I don't think there's much chance for me. Just the spotting has thrown me or I wouldn't even be testing. Good luck to you I hope you get your bfp x. My AF due on the 12th x

I did a first response when I woke and there is a vvvvvvv faint line on it with no colour which showed up right away and the same on a cheap test. Il try my other first response in the morning 🤞🤞

There is the first response pic. It's a squinter and not Entirely sure If it's even a positive. But I do see something on it. But whether that line is always there even if negative I dunno. Iv never looked for it before when Iv done a first response. (TTC 12 months)

@Tartanhaggis I still can't see the second lines I'm sorry! Not saying it will stay that way though! I have had so many tests where I'm convinced there's a second line so I know the feeling you have!

I find with frer there's always like a silvery line that I'm always convinced is gonna be it and it ends up being an evap line! Also had the same with cheapies! Keep trying though I always say your never out until AF arrives! Some women don't get a positives until a few days/weeks after being late so I always try not to let it dishearten me!

I've held off testing so far! Should be early enough on a frer tomorrow as long as cycle matches my app this month! Bleeding has stopped, still more CM than usual kinda still egg white like, but did noticed its like a whitish clear rather than just clear which I read on one site could be a good sign but still not gonna get too excited it's the first month I've actually looked at my CM this much usually I just wait for the flood gates of it around ovulation 🤣 feel nauseous but only for short random bursts so again I think my brain likes to play tricks on me during the TWW!

Do we think that at 16dpo a two hour hold will be long enough for a reliable result?

I haven't taken a test yet this cycle and really keen to do one now my symptoms have ramped up... but due to bastarding work zooms I only really have a small window of time to do one!

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing?

No luck for me this cycle by the looks of things AF is due tomorrow, but no sign of anything PMS and taken early detection tests here and there through the week mainly to cover me if my cycle is a little longer than predicted but all BFN so ruling it out for this month now! Annoying as I can't really start for the next cycle until AF comes but at least I can take my mind of it I guess! 🤷‍♀️

Still baffled about my mini bleed earlier in the month, gonna keep an eye on when AF does turn up incase it was a withdrawal bleed from the 3 days pill I took in December! Maybe it's shifted my cycle around again who knows! 🤷‍♀️

Hope someone has had some good luck this time around and if not I'll be here for the next cycle! 💕

@staceymarieox so weird about the mini bleed, I was really hoping that was implantation for you! Onwards to the next cycle, I think I'm in the same boat to be honest.

I am currently on DPO12, no real stand out symptoms and I haven't had any bleeding at all which makes me think there has been no implantation. I know it's still early and AF is due in 5 days. Who knows though, the female body is quite the enigma as we all know! This month has been a weird time for me, one of my closest friends announced she was pregnant after only just starting to try. She didn't tell me she was trying but decided to after all the bother I've had. It's so tough trying to balance being happy for her but also just full of jealousy and a frustration that is hasn't happened for me. Just needed a mini rant on that one!

I hope everyone is well, just looking forward to the next cycle now.

@CaraLouLou its so disheartening, I was hoping it was this month as I haven't really been actively thinking about it and my sex drive had a boost so really felt my body was ready for it! Still no sign of AF and now 'late'. Still nothing on a pregnancy test, even took an ovulation test as I had a mild one sided cramp, incase my cycle had restarted after that mini bleed, but that was also negative so literally just the waiting game now!

So sorry you've found it hard with your friend getting pregnant! It is so hard especially because you genuinely are happy for them but just so jealous it's not you! I'm like it for people I see on my Facebook who I went to school with..some of these people I havent spoken to in 13 years i dont even live in the same city as those i went to school with anymore! 🤣 its totally normal! But just think it's a beautiful bundle of joy coming into the world to love! And you can hand that one back to their mother 🤣

Also don't let no implantation bleeding put you off, its a really really small number of women who experience it, I wanna say like 5% but actually think it may be more like 25% who actually get it! Its just something I think we all look for as a definite sign of a positive way before we can even test! I didnt have it, or at least I don't remember having it when I conceived DS! I think I'm just so impatient waiting to test that I hope I get it!

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing?
Nothing exciting for me, that bleed I was hoping was implantation was 100% just a withdrawal or early AF. I caught Ovulation really late on think it was CD 21 but it was the strongest line I have ever had on these tests, If I was on my phone doing this I'd upload the pic. but as soon as I saw it I marched upstairs to demand my DH to come and DTD 😂😂however exactly 14 days later and here I am with AF here!

We could have done with a BFP this month, we found out today that DH grandfather had passed away, we haven't been to see them in at least a year or so, there was some tension more from my DH who was hurt about the way his grandparents had gone about things in the past and with our wedding but our neighbor happens to be his postie and had mentioned he hadn't been looking well probably around November time, we had made plans to go down and see them but life gets in the way through no fault of anyone really and now there's a lot of guilt because he never went! I'm absolutely useless at comforting people, so I always feel tense and that he's being cold to me intentionally with things like this but I know he's not it's just nice to have this space to have a little vent! I'm such a people pleaser that in situations where I can't change anything to make it better that I've actually failed 🙅I'm almost 29 and have lost both my parents and I have one grandparent out of 4 left so I'm used to being the one comforted if anything!

sorry for the waffling rant! Just had to get it out! Hopefully the rest of you have had more success baby making! :)

AF hasn't shown up just yet for me (due on today) but I had a negative test this morning, so I think that I'm out

I'm 11dpo, AF due on Tuesday and no signs either way yet. I'm going to try and wait til Tuesday to test to avoid disappointment after last months chemical

I’ll be 9 weeks on Friday ! Had an early scan at 6 wks 4 days as I was having some cramping . Next scan won’t be until 24th February so hoping all goes well and can start relaxing knowing I’ll be into my 2nd trimester!

Nothing here yet, trying to stay positive but it’s so hard! Coming up to my fertile days again and have decided not to track this month, just try and relax a bit😬

An interesting month for me. No BFP but I did ovulate on CD14 for the first time ever. My ovulation is usually later on day 18 or 19 so it was such a shock. I'm hopeful that the vitamins we have been taking have helped regulate my cycle so I'm crossing everything for a BFP in the coming months.

I ovulated so much earlier than usual that we weren't even doing the baby dance. We DTD about 2/3 hours before I ovulated (I had real intense ovulation cramping so it was easy to pin point, along with proper egg white discharge).

I am currently on 9DPO, testing negative and I really shouldn't be testing this early but I couldn't resist. I do think I feel different but again who knows, we've all been through this a million times so proper symptom spotting. I've had this weird cramping, not even sure if I would describe it as cramping..more of a twinge in one spot. AF is due mid-next week so I'll keep my fingers crossed. I've actually ran out of pregnancy tests so I think I'll keep it that way and wait to test in another 3/4 days.

@staceymarieox what a journey for you. Fingers crossed for this next cycle, positive news on the strong ovulation test though!

@CaraLouLou Oh wow that's fab your ovulation has come earlier! which vitamins are you on? I have folic acid, but haven't really bothered apart from that as of yet, when we were trying for DS I used to take the 7 seas conception, then I think we went onto prenatal pregnacare, both the womens and the mens. I think even though we do want another baby we have taken it so much more relaxed this time around so haven't overly prepped with vitamins, although we probably should 😂fingers crossed now that you get your BFP! Even if not it seems your body is ticking all the right boxes with cramps, CM etc, so if its not this month it may be really soon!

I'm getting excited now as I'm within reach to have a December baby, which i wanted this time last year as I love Christmas so much so wanted to have the 'complete family' for then, as the year before was our first Christmas married, and before that first Christmas with DS and year before Christmas as engaged so it would have kept the pattern 😂Christmas just gone the only record seems to be first Christmas with no sickness bug but ah well! 😂

@L92 Congrats! so glad everything was okay with the early scan! Hopefully the next one is great as well! Its so nice to relax a little once the first trimester is over! Always so nerve racking waiting for that 12 weeks, especially when you are actively trying as you tend to pick up your pregnancy earlier so have to wait longer!

Been on this thread a while and thought I'd say hi.
Not going to lie, was gutted when AF showed up at only 7dpo last month 🙈 not sure what was going on 😢 but I'm now about 4/5dpo and already worrying that by the start of the week AF might rear its ugly head early again.
I'm trying not to symptom spot and just ignore anything until at least the middle of next week if AF doesn't show up. I got a bfp with my first at 10/11dpo but it was quite a good line so reckon I could have tested earlier. BBT showed implantation drop at 8/9dpo so hoping for the same drop this time 🤞🏻🤞🏻
