Looking for TTC buddies! (November/December 2022)

Hi all,

I don't have any friends who are TTC and I feel like I need a little support group out with my other half. There are loads of threads here but they are so long, I didn't know where to start so thought I'd create a new thread.

I'm 33, TTC baby number 1 (Edinburgh). I'm currently on cycle 5, just about to enter my fertile window on CD 11. I had my copper coil removed in July this year and I am tracking along with OPKs. I seem to be ovulating with the dark positive line, although a little later on day 18 -19. I'm hoping to see my ovulation come forward a bit.

How is everyone getting on? I am overall very positive and can't wait to get a BFP. I'm still getting used to the lingo!

I have been away with work and I'm so happy to see more people have joined and I can also see some tentative positives around! @Brightside29 how are you getting on after the faint positive? Very confusing, especially after a suspected AF with clots and all!

@staceymarieox I think we are close together in our cycles, and yes I did finally get my peak at CD19. Although later than I'd like I'm still delighted to have ovulated. I'm currently on 9DPO, I think you are one day ahead of me on 10 or 11DPO? I check my cm religiously and for the first time ever I have had a tiny tiny bit of blood mixed with the usual white discharge this morning, for the past 6 months I have never seen this unless it's AF. I know it is far too early for AF so I'm hopeful. Not getting my hopes up but we'll see, I have had some cramping and bloating. I also have more spots on my face than normal. I have been away for a few days including a few short flights so they could be to blame for the bad skin. How are you getting on? I see you're having BFN's but it's probably too early. I tested this morning knowing fine well it would be negative, I'm going to try and keep busy and test again in a few days!

@Ncl31 cramps can be a positive sign too so don't write it off.. when is AF due for you?

I'm feeling, sick 😂, boobs are sore, tired, and the headaches have been bad the last two days, but happy about all of it as hopefully it means all is okay for now... temp was still up this morning which was a relief, I think I will do another test tomorrow or Friday x

I’m 13 DPO I think. I never got a peak but it’s the first month I’ve tested so I think I’ve just missed it on my testing (using the clear blue tests). Hope so anyway. AF due at the weekend so trying to hold out. Not got any symptoms but I didn’t with my first until about 5 weeks either so trying to feel positive!

@Havanalily1806 17th. I think I’m just so used to getting BFNs and AF I just expect that once I feel it coming.
still hopeful that I’ll get a BFP in time for Christmas

@Ncl31 17th is still a few days away to already be experiencing cramps so you never know. It might be your month. As a lot easier said than done.. (in fact I think it's quite impossible actually 😅) try not to think about it as best you can. Got everything crossed for you x

Hi guys! Can I join? I'm TTC #2. I'm CD 8, I think I'm due to ovulate in about a week (I'm guessing as I've only had 2 periods since stopping bf 3 months ago) but last cycle I had ewcm on cd 15-17, 31 day cycle. DD is 12 months old and we want a sibling for her (DH is 42, I'm 36 so don't want to wait too long!)

Anyway, this is our first month trying since our daughter. I've started doing ovulation tests, we've both been taking proceive vitamins and probiotics and I've been taking omega 3s too. Could probably cut out the biscuits and chocolate, but it could take a few months and I tried to live like a saint TTC DD and ended up going mad, cracking and downing a bottle of wine and the majority of a tub of celebrations! Haha

@CaraLouLou so glad you finally had your peak! Sometimes it's just a relief you see you have ovulated even if its a BFN month! Just that reassurance that your body does work 🤣

Yeah I'm 11dpo today,still nothing but evap lines for me, cramps have stopped altogether which is odd for me approaching AF but she is a sneaky one at times. Estimated AF day is Saturday I do feel like I'm gonna be out this month but I don't give up until AF comes! I'm hoping maybe I implanted later than I should have so just late 🤣
I've been visiting family today and got a Santa's grotto with DS tomorrow so even though I will likely still test with the cheapies I'll try not to think too much about it! Just seems it's not happening when others get BFP at 9/10dpo and we still have nothing 😭

If it makes you feel better @staceymarieox I had a negative the day before af was due and a faint positive when I was 3 days late with DD so you're not out of the game just yet!

@Pitstop1986 that is really nice to hear! I know its possible but I just hate the wait 🤣

When we were TTC DS it took 5 months and I was tracking cycle length but not ovulation etc and it just happened I don't even think I was really looking when AF came I just had a super faint line on a Tuesday DH didn't even think it was a proper positive, so we bought a digital on the Thursday and it was positive 1-2 weeks! Just so much more frustrating this time around because I know how it works 🤣 first time it's just bonk bonk bonk because your child free and have energy and now it's like do we sleep or do we bonk 🤣🤣🤣

Twinge of blood stain very faint today when I wiped, some cramps too..think it's gonna be AF doubt it's an implantation at this stage! So will likely be me out for this month 😢

Can I join too? 28 and starting TTC #1 next cycle. AF due next week then onto trying!

Planned for earlier but needed MMR booster before I could conceive so had to wait for those to work

Been tracking and using opks for a few months since having my implant out in the summer. Started with cheapies but found them hard to read, been using CB digital for the last two cycles which have shown ovulation at CD15. Think the extra £ on the tests with worth is for us to reduce the stress.

Lovely to see there are some BFPs on the thread already!

The bottom is this mornings test...starting to feel like I'm imagining it all and they are mean evap lines.

Going to get a first response I will post the result...just have to get geared up incase its negative xx how is everybody else today ?

Still no sign of AF after that little tint on the loo paper last night, I even DTD thinking some blood may be there after and absolutely nothing! Had a sharp lower pain on one side last night, low dull cramps all day but nothing else! Took an early detection clear blue in FMU and still negative! So I'm likely out unless my cycle is way off what I think it is this month! Estimated to be due AF tomorrow but I just have an app set as an average 31 day cycle and I amend it each month as I go so not even 100% all I know is I picked up my ovulation peak two weeks Saturday! My last cycle was 42 days 😭

@staceymarieox How are you getting on? How weird that the little bit of blood didn't turn into anything, you'll have to keep us posted! I'm currently 11dpo and I have been doing cheap test strips daily...it's just my preferred way although I know you're supposed to wait (I do not have the patience knowing there are tests in the drawer!). No joy for me yet so I have made peace with this month being a write off but we'll see, AF is due Tuesday. It is reassuring to hear that @Pitstop1986 had a negative a day before AF and got a faint line 3 days later.

Congrats @Brightside29 - how exciting! You'll have to keep us posted once you test with first response! I know you posted before with the line after having what you thought was your period, how are you feeling overall?

Also unrelated but I'm really struggling with the format of this forum/thread, it's so tricky to go back and look at comments and try and keep up to date with everyone. I wish could just reply to posts directly and have mini threads on each post like Facebook.

@CaraLouLou still nothing as of yet! I'd say the only change right now is everything is making me cry but I do have high anxiety and a little depression so those fluctuations aren't unusual to me! We weren't sure if DS had strep so my mind goes instantly to we're gonna loose him! But he's fine, likely just a general throat infection and now 3 days into antibiotics but I think I'm just still in high alert from that! I'm pretty much writing off this month as I'm pretty sure an early detection would have picked up something today! Im like you I test daily with cheap tests I'm a nightmare dread to think what I spend over the months 😭 only went for a early detection as I thought if my cycle was only off by a week or so I could still be pregnant just early! Who knows! If that sharp pain was a few days ago I would have felt certain I had implanted as that's a symptom I read about often! I didnt experience it with DS that I remember anyway! Fingers crossed you get your BFP! There's still time!

Hey ladies! Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New year!

Just wondering how everyone is getting along this cycle?

Me and DH had words before Christmas and I ended up starting my pill I only took 3 days worth and it was while I was having AF. I'm CD 17, I didn't catch ovulation, I had a few days of watery CM which is usually a sign but took one OPK which was faint so don't know if I missed it or it came after!

Yesterday I had some light blood when I wiped and that stayed but got lighter until this morning when it was just a few spots, no idea if this is implantation or not or maybe even another bleed because of that 3 day pill use 🤷‍♀️ its too early to be AF or implantation really based on my estimated cycle but I guess if I did ovulate early it would be almost inline with when implantation should occur, so I'm just in limbo with it now 🤣 AF not estimated to come until the 16th!!

I had my at on dec 10th no pregnancy or period symptoms and I’m due at this Sunday so desided to take a test . Bot had a definite pink shadow that came up straight away and can still faintly see .. pic quality not great as the tests were well dried up .. 5 hours later when I too the picture

Hi @staceymarieox - good to hear from someone! I knew things would go quiet over the festive period. I'm on CD17 today and to be honest I started this cycle not even bothered about trying as I'm a bit fed up and tired after Christmas. Ended up DTD yesterday morning then out of curiosity I did an OPK and it was positive so good timing! I had horrible ovulation cramps this morning so we'll see, I haven't had cramps like that before during ovulation so I'm hoping months of me and the other half taking vitamins is kicking in! I know you missed your ovulation but who knows, keep us posted!

Hi ladies, not much happening here. CD19 but with my longer cycle I’m not due my fertile window til next week. Hoping I don’t peak early as I’m on antibiotics that you shouldn’t take if you’re pregnant so want those out of the way. Another complication I really could have done without tbh!

I'M CD14, got different results on different types of OPK this month so DTD most days to cover all bases. Lots of CM today so potentially couple more days at it to make sure we've given this cycle our best shot

Got my nephews first birthday party the day AF is due/we're planning to test so really hoping for a BFP, as a afternoon with babies and toddlers could be quite hard going that day!

@CaraLouLou I was the same especially after having a little fight just before Christmas! Its all over my DH health, he has low energy due to various deficiencies, most of the time its fine but we all had double infections over December which wiped him out even more because of the lack of energy, I just can't imagine doing all the stuff I do now but with a newborn as well as DS!

So went into this month off the pill but not paying attention really! We have DTD everyday this week as I have found with my additional CM my sex drive has returned which I've struggled with for months so I'm hoping even if it isn't this month it won't be much longer as sex drive increase comes with ovulation!

I have noticed more blood today when I went to the loo, still not heavy enough for a pad but I would say it's likely just a withdrawal bleed from the pill but I will keep my fingers crossed just incase!

Fingers crossed for you this month especially as you caught your ovulation as well! 🥳🥳🥳
