Looking for TTC buddies! (November/December 2022)

Hi all,

I don't have any friends who are TTC and I feel like I need a little support group out with my other half. There are loads of threads here but they are so long, I didn't know where to start so thought I'd create a new thread.

I'm 33, TTC baby number 1 (Edinburgh). I'm currently on cycle 5, just about to enter my fertile window on CD 11. I had my copper coil removed in July this year and I am tracking along with OPKs. I seem to be ovulating with the dark positive line, although a little later on day 18 -19. I'm hoping to see my ovulation come forward a bit.

How is everyone getting on? I am overall very positive and can't wait to get a BFP. I'm still getting used to the lingo!

@Nic2908 congratulations! I saw the first photo earlier and was going to suggest doing another test. Don't be wary of others, although it is disheartening for those who don't get a BFP, I think I can speak for everyone and say we're always delighted for a fellow mummy to be when she gets her BFP. (that rhymes, should get it trademarked 😂).

@CaraLouLou did you get your peak after? I tested later the day of the last one and the next day and they were fading out as they should, took one last night on a whim just to make sure and it was negative so definitely think that was my peak! DTD the day before and day after so fingers crossed some sailors were still there! 🤣

5dpo now and some slight cramps I think? Sometimes I'm sure I feel them but it's nothing 🤣 so into TWW now 😭 my predicted AF will be due on the 16th but who knows with my random cycles! But maybe still hope for a Christmas positive! 😀

I haven't posted in here for a few days now, period is currently 5 days late, my boobs are a bit sore on the sides and I've had on off headaches, my period was meant to start on Wednesday, and I'm always bang on time! Thursday was the only day I had cramps, milder than my AF cramps and since then nothing no AF cramps, or barely even mild cramps at all, took a test yesterday negative took 2 today negative, idk what's going on😭

@SarahEvans1996 I’m in a pretty similar boat too. Af was due Thursday had period like symptoms for a few days leading up to Thursday did a couple test and all negative and af still hasn’t arrived yet and period symptoms have completely eased up ! Haven't tested since Wednesday though but really thought I was out this month . I won’t bother re testing until early next week incase af arrives late ! So crazy though that your in same situation! In my previous pregnancy I knew I was pregnant before any test ect but don’t have that feeling this time so I just don’t know !

would it be possible you ovulated later than you thought maybe ?

Im on 1st cycle after miscarriage and currently 3dpo ttc number 4.
I did ovulate early this cycle so we only got in 2 days of dtd before peak.

Fingers crossed what they say about high fertility after MC is true, and hopefully this tww goes quickly with all the Christmas shenanigans going on.

It's so frustrating isn't it! I've just done another test about 20 minutes ago and negative! So I'm going to do one more in the morning with fmu and see, if negative I'm just going to leave it a while, my previous pregnancies I kind of knew but I think mainly because of a missed period because mine are just never late! That's why I was so sure I'd get a positive when I tested yesterday!

I guess I could have ovulated late.. I wasn't testing just going off the flo app, I was planning on ordering the tests for next cycle so I could pinpoint my ovulation, but I had the ovulation cramps around when I usually have them which is why I assumed I ovulated when I thought I did😫
At this point I just want to see a positive or my AF stop playing with me and show up so I know where I stand! Xx

I'm 7dpo today, been having mild cramps since 5dpo, they have increased in intensity a little, and earlier it was more like a mild twinge. Moods are everywhere and had a migraine most of the day! Im hoping this is implantation 🤞

Done tests before and today and all negative so far but I read about the twinge pain actually being the impanting so HCG increases after that so if I am, then I'm still testing too early! AF is predicted for the 16th but I'm not in a set cycle!

I highly doubt I can wait to test until the 16th I'm a nightmare but will probably try on Tuesday when I'll be 10dpo! Luckily I'm out of tests at the moment anyway and DH will know if I sneak out for some 🤣

@SarahEvans1996 I had a cycle like that last month and it lasted 42 days 😭 hopefully it's a better result for you though! Its so frustrating 🤦‍♀️

Can I join? I’m due AF on Christmas Day of all days! So if I haven’t come on then I think I will have to test as there will be alcohol around. But it’s going to be awful if it’s negative Atleast lots of distractions though.

im on cycle day 17 of our second ttc cycle for baby number 3. I think I must have ovulated a couple of days ago due to the ewcm and my gut instinct, my app says today but I think it’s been and gone. So fingers crossed.

is anyone else having to go through testing right around Xmas? Xx

Could you please line spot for me...I had a feint line about 7 days ago then had what I thought was my usual.period clots and all...i took this just now is this test looking positive to any of you?
I'm so.confused the line looks darker than before ?

@SarahEvans1996 af arrived last night ! I was also just using Flo app to track along with my own intuition I’m going to try again for the next couple months with out ovulation strips so I’m not putting pressure on myself ect ! I hope you get some answers soon? Have your changed any Vitimans before last cycle or anything and that can sometimes delay for the first couple weeks? I’m only taking folic acid daily and found that my first cycle was slightly messed up

Just wondered if anyone's had BFP which were initially looking like evap lines?

I'm 10dpo now, convinced there's an line on my test, it's a squinter, can't catch it on camera, not even asking DH because I always do and he always tells me it's line eye..which it usually is but was having one sided and or Central cramps from about 5dpo, some twingy pain, they seem to have stopped today. I feel so bloated, hormonal, feel sicky, this morning I thought I was going to be sick but wasn't now feels more like indigestion sicky feel 🤷‍♀️

Early detection test have been BFN last one I took yesterday morning. last night, this morning and just now I took regular tests all have the line but I have used the brand before and not had the lines! Just wondering if its super early so not picking up right just yet or just me and my line eyes!

Mind if I join? I've been away from Mumsnet for a couple of months following a definite CP in October. Since then I haven't had another period and ovulated for the first time recently. 3 weeks after the CP I was testing positive again, it was bizarre but GP wasn't a lot of help and after 10 days that changed to negative

We are also in the middle of undergoing tests privately as I have suspected PCOS, been trying since April but this will only be my 5th cycle trying.

Anyway, I have been feeling full of cold which I think was masking some symptoms, and only really yesterday I started to believe I could have another BFP. (Nausea, sore boobs mainly) I started with bad cramping last night which I don't really get with AF and headaches today.

My LF is 12 days, today is 12dpo with AF due tomorrow and my bbt was still high this morning. Took a FRER and CB digital and both are BFP! Feeling so apprehensive as it was tomorrow last cycle that my temp dropped and I started to bleed the next day.

I'd love to upload some pictures but they aren't appearing for me

Managed to upload my tests from this morning. I can’t decide if the line on the FRER is darker than my last cycle than was a CP…. Anxious waiting game ahead 🥲

tentative congratulations @Havanalily1806 i hope it sticks around for you. 10DPO for me but not yet tested. I’ve not had masses of symptoms this cycle so I’ve not got my hopes built up to be honest.

@Ncl31 thank you! To be honest I don't think my symptoms really kicked in this time until around 10DPO so there is still time yet.

this evening I’ve just had a pretty substantial amount of clear gummy cm. Not had it before in my leutal phase, despite trying not to think too much about it but can help but hope it’s a good sign. Since that I’ve been feeling nausea but I think that’s all in my head!

It's crazy isn't it, luckily/unluckily we had a lot going on this last couple of weeks so it's meant I haven't been thinking about it too much, but I completely get it because last cycle I was the exact same. Hoping for some good news for you soon x

@Havanalily1806 well the gummy cm has disappeared and back to dry as a bone…. I’m so confused!
nipples are still tender and I woke with slight cramp this morning as if AF is on its way.
still holding out to test until Friday at least.
