Hey hey, making this thread to lead on from last months. I’m 1 or 2 dpo today and I’m going to try and not symptom spot this month!! Also going to try my best to not test until 12dpo at the earliest!

what DPO are you all?

@MillieKitty how exciting, I bet you’re counting down the days tills your scan.

@Mortima how has your tracking gone, have you had a strong positive on the OPK yet?

Mortima · 27/11/2022 09:11

@Wrenegade Not yet - CD17 today so hopefully soon! My BBT has gone back down as well, I think the high reading was down to alcohol and poor sleep, so I'm confident I've not missed it.

Wrenegade · 27/11/2022 13:55

@Mortima it sounds like you are close. Being persistent with tracking has definitely paid off so you can find your most fertile window.

I’m having quite a painful cycle. The day before ovulation, I had intense and debilitating stabbing cramps around my left ovary and now at 3/4 dpo the cramping is intermittent in my back. I know my left ovary is more dominant as I tend to feel it ovulate more often than the right. Unfortunately, that is also where my endometriosis is located, so I’m a little worried if that is preventing eggs travelling through the fallopian tube. This is only cycle three of seriously trying (nearly a year of not preventing) but I feel like I’ve written myself off. Has anyone else been given any advice around endo or he experiences of TTC with endo?

Mortima · 27/11/2022 15:24

@Wrenegade No knowledge or experience I'm afraid, although I know someone with endo who conceived very quickly. Definitely don't write yourself off - based on what you've said, I would ask the GP for further investigations if you aren't successful after 6 months (if not before), don't wait a full year.

Emmalou0607 · 28/11/2022 11:08

@Wrenegade try not to write yourself off! No direct experience but can they do any tests to check that there's no blockage or anything caused by it?

Back to 2DPO, weirdly calmer than last month where I was stressing about it the whole time. How is everyone else doing?

PPop · 28/11/2022 11:54

@Emmalou0607 that is exciting! I don't think I've ovulated yet as still very faint tests, I admit I didn't test Saturday as I was away from home for my bday. Tested last night and a faint test. So I think it's coming... but not happened yet!
I am gonna do my todays test soon as avoiding the first thing in the morning one now...

Mortima · 28/11/2022 12:26

@Emmalou0607 Glad you are feeling calmer this month - in some ways, 2DPO is a nice place to be as you know you've done what you can and it's out of your hands now.

@PPop I've also not ovulated yet, on the twice a day testing now...hope you had a lovely birthday weekend in York!

I'm so done with November, first a CP and now I've let myself be scammed by a rogue trader 🤦‍♀️Really hoping for some good news in December.
On a brighter note, I have bought a Fertilily cup but haven't tried using it yet - has anyone else tried them? (Are they a pain to insert?)

PPop · 28/11/2022 13:55

Oh no @Mortima what happened?

York was lovely thank you!

Peeonastick22 · 29/11/2022 16:09

Hey all, I’m (suspected) 3dpo today and I’m having quite severe period cramps, as bad if not worse than I get just before my period. My period isn’t due for 11 days, has anyone experienced this? I’m tempted to get checked for endometriosis- I can’t think what else it could be?

OP posts:
MillieKitty · 29/11/2022 18:59

@Peeonastick22 don't want to get your hopes up but I had horrendous tummy pains and cramps around the same time and turns out I had conceived successfully! I think with endo it would flare up around actual ovulation and nearer to your period but I'm not 100%

Peeonastick22 · 29/11/2022 20:25

@MillieKitty will try not to get my hopes up! But that’s very interesting!

I wonder what on earth it is if yours was related to conception (wether or not mine is) google isn’t helping on either side of the coin!

I’ve certainly never experienced this, I usually just get aftershock ovulation pains but this is horrible throughout my whole uterus- just like AF

how are you? When’s your scan, sorry I’m not up to date tried to take a step back and not obsess!

OP posts:
MillieKitty · 29/11/2022 20:31

@Peeonastick22 well I have suspected ibs and I think the elevated hormones slowed my digestion right down which caused so much tummy pain and cramping and it's still happening to this day 😩 but I remember it happened worse than usual straight after ovulation, I was curled up with a hot water bottle before I knew I was pregnant, scan this Saturday to check everything is okay 🤞🏼

Peeonastick22 · 29/11/2022 20:35

@MillieKitty thats exactly how I’ve been!! Curled up with water bottle, I also have IBS

it sort of feels like UTI, IBS and period pains all in one 😂😭 isn’t it fun being a woman.

i hope yours eases off and hope scan goes well! Let us know how it goes

Finally got my positive OPK yesterday on CD20, and cracked out the Ferti-lily for the first time - think I got it in the right place eventually but it was a faff, needs more practice I think. Would like to DTD again tonight, but DH has a cold and not sure he'll be up for it.
We've only done it on O-4, O-3, and O-1 - does that seem like enough?

@Peeonastick22 Ugh, it is horrible being a woman sometimes! I hope your pain eases off (and that it ends up being a good sign for you).

@PPop Almost too embarrassing to say really, but I had a leaky roof...got someone to 'fix' it...now I still have a leaky roof, and have handed over £2k to a tradesman who is now evading my calls and emails. I know I have very little chance of recouping it, but will exhaust all options anyway.
Glad you enjoyed York though, it's one of my fave cities.

Peeonastick22 · 30/11/2022 12:13

@Mortima sounds like more than enough attempts to me! GL and FX

sorry to hear about your roof that’s infuriating! Hope you get it sorted and get a response from the tradesmen

I’m honestly in agony I don’t know what to do- cancelled my doc appointment because I couldn’t bring myself to walk there and be prodded and looked at.

This feels like my periods used to when I was 15 and went on the pill to sort it out- just constant awful cramps that paracetamol is barely taking the edge off

I’ve just had some super light spotting and now I’m starting to think am I coming on my period 10 days early?? None of this makes sense I’m only 4-5 dpo

OP posts:
Mortima · 30/11/2022 13:21

Sounds utterly miserable @Peeonastick22 - was the doctor's appointment for this, or something unrelated? If it doesn't abate soon maybe you should get some medical advice. How did you track ovulation this month?

Peeonastick22 · 30/11/2022 13:44

@Mortima doc appt was for this, I made it this morning but couldn’t face leaving bed

I only tracked with OPK and symptoms so don’t know exact date but I’m pretty sure I’m 4 or 5dpo

If it carries on until tomorrow I’ll have to suck it up and go to the doctors

OP posts:
MillieKitty · 30/11/2022 14:34

@Peeonastick22 sorry to hear you're feeling awful :( is it possible you could be more like 6dpo and could be implantation spotting and pain? Can you get a telephone docs appointment instead?

Peeonastick22 · 30/11/2022 14:48

@MillieKitty i mean I can’t rule it out! Only thing is these pains started on Monday and if I’m 6 dpo today that would have been 4dpo
I’ll ask for telephone appt tomorrow and see what they say.

what were your pains like? We’re they more like IBS pains or period pains?

Thanks for the support guys it really helps x

OP posts:
MillieKitty · 30/11/2022 15:37

@Peeonastick22 they were a bit of both tbh, the doctor wasn't very useful, he just prescribed me mebeverine which didn't do anything! Defo try do a urine sample to check for any urine infections

PPop · 30/11/2022 16:58

Oh gosh @Peeonastick22 that sounds awful! Hope you feel better soon!!

@Mortima oh the gits! That is just rotten! Some contractors are just awful (DH is one but I'm proud to say he has a perfect record for turning up/contacting back and waits till the end for payment even though that worries me) not the sort of stress you need!

Thank you I think York is one of my ultimate favourite cities too! Gorgeous place!

I've an ovulation question last month I got pain in my right, so my body has alternated this month pain in my left. That was yesterday so bad I couldn't stand up straight! Same pain I had recognised before but the sticks haven't had a high reading like last month?! I'd attach a photo but it isn't allowing me to get to my most recent 🤦‍♀️

Emmalou0607 · 30/11/2022 17:03

@PPop glad you had a lovely time away for your birthday! I can't be much help with the side pain part as I don't think I really feel anything noticeable normally. Is there any. Janice you could have missed the spike on testing?

@Mortima feel for you with the roof! We had similar happen a couple of years ago and it was a nightmare.

@Peeonastick22 hope your pain eases up soon, doesn't sound nice for you at all!

PPop · 30/11/2022 23:43

@Emmalou0607 I could definitely have missed a spike I'm not great at this stuff it seems haha!
Yesterday I had the pain in my side, I did notice some CM it appeared clearly but goopy hope that makes sense 🤦‍♀️ the app keeps telling me I'm gonna ovulate 8th December but as I only recently started tracking it's possible it's wrong and the other app shows 4th December.
I have tested tonight and it seems paler then yesterday. Haven't seen a BBT spike!

It's either happened. Or it's not happened yet... 😂 ah well will keep at it every second day and test twice a day...

Peeonastick22 · 01/12/2022 08:12

@PPop apparently most women’s bodies favour ovulation on the right, I’m not sure how this would affect OPKs but it’s worth looking into!

looks as though I’ve come on my period 11 days early 😵

Has anyone had this happen before? I’m always so regular 28-29 days! And I had ovulation pains on day 11 and I think I caught the end of my LH spike on day 14.

I haven’t been particularly stressed, no major diet or life changes- I just can’t think why this would happen! Would explain the severe period pains for 3 days though lol

OP posts:
MillieKitty · 01/12/2022 08:48

@Peeonastick22 omg that's very early! So sorry to hear that, womens bodies just do what they want don't they! 🤦🏻‍♀️ is it definitely your period? I just see so many stories of implantation bleeding tricking women into thinking AF showed up!
