Halloween testers 🎃

Hi all,

I’m just starting my TWW and planning on testing around 29 October (unless period comes sooner which it did last month!)

Anyone else planning to test around Halloween?

Can you believe I cracked already??? 😂 used my last frer, just the same old indent line that everyone is complaining about at the moment. Got the same yday. Frer is very unreliable atm apparently.

I now can't afford more tests until pay day which is a day after my period is due anyway

@SmurfStar oh. Would you mind sharing a pic of the indent, if you have one? I don't have any FRERs atm, but if you have a pic it would be handy to see what the indents look like. No probs if not though

When you take them out they're invalid anyway but you know yourself that ttc makes you crazy

If you end up getting one study the test before you use it cause I could defo see a like before hand. Still so hard not to get excited

@SmurfStar yes that's a bit of a tease isn't it. It does look greyish rather than pink?

8/9 DPO, negative test this morning. So disappointed!

2dp5dt so 7DPO and I trying to resist the urge to test 😂. I deliberately didn’t have any tests in the house and ordered for delivery Friday. The postman just delivered them 2 days early.

8dpo and getting impatient now! Trying to wait until 11dpo at the earliest to test. I've had some mild cramping at 6 dpo and again today but no bleed. No idea if this is just normal for me as I was on contraception for 7 years and it got rid of all my af symptoms.

9DPO and had mild cramping this morning which makes me think AF is coming... feeling like I'm out already and pretty gutted and already had a cry today. Just feel like I know deep down its not going to be this month and every month it gets harder. 🥺

I’m 9dpo, had spotting the last 2 days but nothing so far today. It got heavier yesterday with some cramping so could be early period but strange it’s stopped completely today. If it doesn’t come back I’ll just test as planned on Saturday. Bought some FRERs today so I’m ready if I need them 🤞

@SmurfStar I can't believe you cracked hahha to be fair if I hadn't been run ragged at work I would have done too lol!! I put my tests in my car boot so.im not tempted to test now I'm home!!! AF due tomorrow and still have a rising temperature so I'm keeping everything crossed. Only symptoms I have now are occasional twinges, lack of appetite and a VERY watery mouth.....all things you normally ignore so I'm just pretending I get then each month so I'm not disappointed hahha xx

@Roxybabe it does get harder I'm sorry 😞 all of us know how you feel, it's shit and you can rant all you want. I really hope it's your month, sending hugs.

@SmurfStar thank you, feeling a little better after a cry. It's my first cry/mini breakdown. I'm not even out yet but just preparing myself for AF. I just don't have a feeling... most ppl say 'they just knew'.

MN is the only place I can rant tbh, I have a friend who I speak to about it as she is also TTC but I actually find it easier venting on here. She sometimes says things like 'theres always IVF' and 'maybe its his swimmers' and those comments aren't helpful.

@Roxybabe i'm not sure how you guys who have been TTC a bit longer are handling it tbh, 2ww is really, really tough. No shame in feeling down, it's just so much pressure. So much... trying to decipher every twinge or blob of cm, it's not emotionally healthy, but very hard to resist.

There must be loaaads of women who don't realise they're pregnant until they start puking. Hell, some women don't know until there's a head between their legs. So I don't think a lack of symptoms means anything 🙂

Thanks @Billyv and @SmurfStar . Is it worth doing a test tomorrow if I had a negative yesterday or do you think I should wait longer?

IF (big if!) my temp.dip on 8DPO was implantation and I then had spotting after, that would make me 13DPO tomorrow?

@Tbark I'm not gonna be a hypocrite and say you should def wait longer, because I know I wouldn't. Obviously waiting longer is ideal but not always realistic 🙃

I have no idea how dpo works so can't help there. Something I will learn once I actually know my cycle!

Me and you are in the exact same boat. It's so hard isn't it?!
I've already told my husband that if I get my period on Friday or Saturday we're going out for drinks to toast a new cycle. I think it helps having something to look forward to if AF rears her ugly head ❤

@JuniperandI I'm thinking about G&T tonight, my husbands working away so it's just me on my own too which doesn't help because i'm alone with my thoughts.

It is hard, its the unknown I hate! If I knew that it would def happen I think it would be fine! Just the anxiety of something maybe being wrong but having to wait a year to find out is what I find hard.

I totally get you. I've had three CPs this year and this is our second cycle trying after a 2 month break after our last CP. I've been referred to gyno for testing but the referral time is 14 months where I am 😔
The timed sex is getting less and less sexy for us too. It's all so much pressure.

I've decided that if I'm not pregnant by December then I want to take a 1 month break from trying so hard so I can drink all the wine and eat all the soft cheeses I want at Christmas.

@JuniperandI yeah sod it! It's crazy how we can all act sometimes. I've even stopped the gym during the TWW incase it disrupts impantation! It's so stupid I know!! And going to the gym helps my mental health so from next cycle I'm just going to try and live my life normally.

14 months is such a wait!! Have you looked into how much private testing costs? And completely agree about unsexy sexy time!! Its not much fun is it! 😂

I'm not wanting to consider private testing until next year. I know it'll run into the thousands though, all said and done!

I've stopped working out during the TWW too! Yes, we must live our lives. I hope you enjoy your G&T ❤

Oh god I think I might have a squinter! Super faint line on an easy@home test. Can only really see it from one angle and I can't get a decent photo as everywhere I stand I cast a shadow on the test.

It came up in the time but so faint I'm not sure it has colour.

Resisting the temptation to crack out the FRER tonight but I'll have a go in the morning. 8/9dpo
