@HJA87 I've tried it but it didn't work for me. I was on it solidly for about 3 months and I've stopped this cycle and I also took it from 3dpo on a successful BFP cycle. In my view, it's worth trying to see if it helps - you see so many women have success with it but it's not a certainty as it really depends on the reasons you miscarry. If you take it, it's the low dose one 81mg or something like that once a day. Obviously if you have any health conditions or concerns, it's worth speaking to your GP first.

@calimc83 lollll what am I not on! I rattle with the amount of meds I'm on 😂

ChickenT2b · 19/10/2022 09:55

@thebirdinthecave yes very silly question of me 🙈 I don’t have any tests and can’t keep throwing money down the drain at this rate every month 🤣. So I guess that answers my own question 😬. Guess I am hoping for some late BFP stories 🤞🏼

Mariabombia · 19/10/2022 09:59

@Indianna2006 that's such an amazing scan photo, you must be absolutely over the moon 🥰♥️ thank you for sharing, I'm guessing a girl but I have no idea how to tell lol.

@theblueflowers bless you, we're trying for number 1 too. So sorry to hear about your losses, did you have a scan with your second pregnancy? I know how you feel , it's just awful. I started crying in Cosco last night as I was telling my dh that I didn't think this pregnancy or any will be successful, I just feel so scared and anxious about it. Think we've decided not to go for an early scan and just see what happens .

HJA87 · 19/10/2022 10:07

Thank you all re advise on aspirin. I’ve since read this in prof Regan’s recurrent miscarriage book and now I’m thinking it might not be the best idea for me (because she reckons that unless you have a blood clotting condition, taking aspirin due to previous early miscarriage could make you more likely to miscarry).

@TheBirdintheCave that's a really good price for both of you for pre-fertility checks and I've heard good things about Kings. I hope it either gives you an answer or provides you with reassurance to just keep trying 🥰.

@ChickenT2b I believe you can implant anytime from 6-12 days, although it would be late. When is AF due? There could have been a dip at 10dpo I think looking at your chart?
Might be worth testing again tomorrow or Friday. It is hard to not get your hopes up xx

@ChickenT2b I do have a late positive test story. I tested positive late with my first pregnancy, it could have been 12 or 13 DPO, maybe even a day or two later.
And although the pregnancy did not end well, there was HB so it shows late positive is possible and everything can still grow and develop. Missed m/c could have happened due to some genetic issue so please don't think that late positive equals bad news x ❤Wishing all the best and that you get the outcome you want.

mummatara · 19/10/2022 11:00

I've been waiting at the hospital for an hour for this blood test 🙄 goderrrrrrr I wanted to be in and out and get on with my day

TheBirdintheCave · 19/10/2022 11:47

@bunnykins123 Yeah we went down the IVF route in 2019/2020 and I became one of those women who got pregnant right before it (literally found out the day before cycle 1 was due to start) :) I think it was the HyCoSy that did it for me. What tests do you have left?

Luna57 · 19/10/2022 11:52

Hi ladies, not much of an update but I done a pregnancy test and it’s v v faint now hallelujah! Still bleeding, it’s day 11 but I’m feeling optimistic that hcg will leave my system soon. I feel like I want to cancel my scan, I don’t want to go in with blood literally dripping out of me. With my last Mc I only bled for 48 hours max. I must of had a drastic hormone drop because I’ve had the worst headache the last 2 days.

hope everyone is ok!

LuckyMoonstone · 19/10/2022 12:49

@mummatara what is your test for, to check hcg levels are coming down? This is exactly why I loved that they kept booking all my blood tests for Saturdays & Sundays, the ward was practically empty!

@Luna57 so we’re kinda in the same boat, waiting for MCs to finish and cheering for negative tests!

mummatara · 19/10/2022 13:07

@LuckyMoonstone yes they want to check what the level is doing before they book me a scan. It's the longest I've had to wait for one was so annoying

theblueflowers · 19/10/2022 13:20

@FfayeN @Indianna2006 @HalWin2221 Thanks so much for your reassuring words. I'm going to step away from the tests now as with my other pregnancies my tests progressed perfectly and it still didn't turn out well, so I'm not sure it's helpful for me!

@Mariabombia I did have a scan with the second, but it was at the EPU and I had started bleeding so knew what the outcome was going to be. Didn't make it easier to hear somehow. I've had 6 ultrasounds in total and have yet to experience good news at one, I just cannot imagine what that must feel like.
I totally understand why you wouldn't want an early scan! I think it's also hard to imagine a positive outcome when you haven't had one before. I'm trying my very best to think positive and distract myself as much as possible from spiralling. I think others have mentioned it before, but I sort of feel in limbo land- I daren't join a pregnancy thread; I haven't even worked out my due date. One day at a time!

@Luna57 great news that things are moving for you! They won't care at all about the blood but I can understand why you might not want to go through that. They just laid what looked like a massive puppy pad under me 😂 not dignified at all.

FfayeN · 19/10/2022 13:26

@theblueflowers I am in the same boat, I have had 5/6 scans and also not had a successful pregnancy. I don't think I'm going to have the scan at 6 weeks. I want to wait until I'm back from work at around 9 weeks. It's hard to know what to do to be honest but I think this time not knowing so early that it's ok, will be easier to deal with if it doesn't end well. Less time to get excited x

LuckyMoonstone · 19/10/2022 13:28

@mummatara ooh ok, so if it’s coming down at a good rate they won’t bother to scan? Unless they think they need to check if there’s anything left? Sorry it’s not a nice way to talk about it is it.

mummatara · 19/10/2022 13:35

@LuckyMoonstone tbh I'm not sure it was all a bit vague they said well do the 2 blood tests and book you in for a scan after that 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'll ring about 3.30 so I guess I'll find out then. I did tell them on the phone I didn't think anything had passed and bleeding has stopped. Last time they scanned me with a hcg of 25 🤷🏼‍♀️ but it had only dropped about 4 in the 2 days so maybe if there's a big drop today they might wait it out. It seems to be their protocol blood tests then scan. Ahhh there's no flowery way to put it is there 🙊 I'm a tell it how it is person anyway

LuckyMoonstone · 19/10/2022 13:38

@mummatara well it sounds like you’re taking it all in your stride. Hope it gets sorted out as quickly as possible

MrsCristianoX · 19/10/2022 13:38

@mummatara that was how my last miscarriage was. Blood test then scan. 4 or 5 times. It can't remember it all now. It wasn't a happy time.

MrsCristianoX · 19/10/2022 13:44

@mummatara well no miscarriage is a happy time but the scan hurt and I just felt numb. Think my mind has blocked it out now xx

ChloeN · 19/10/2022 14:11

I’ve been thinking about what to do with early scans next pregnancy… did any of you manage to wait till your nhs ones with successful pregnancies?
My wtw was so awful so wouldn’t go back there, but I don’t want to have another mmc and not pick it up till 12 weeks and feel like I’ve wasted time…

Indianna2006 · 19/10/2022 14:20

@ChloeN Personally I felt I couldn’t wait for 12 weeks dating scan either as it just felt so long to wait when it can all of ended at 6 weeks. But everyone is different.

I felt for me. Best scenario was scan at 8-9 weeks. As a heartbeat seen then the Mc rate is only 2%. And 98% chance of a successful pregnancy. Which is good odds. Obviously there will always be that’s 2%. But it’s much higher than at like 6/7 weeks.

An then I just tried to not think too much about it. And didn’t have another one until this one at 13 weeks. But it was a long 4/5 weeks tbh. I could of had another one but felt like what would it tell me. Again just a snapshot in time.

nothing is right or wrong though. Just what you feel is best for you to help you anxiety and help you cope.

RaliaMusca · 19/10/2022 14:21

@ChloeN I had no early scans with my DD (blissfully unaware of all that can go wrong) and had a super healthy, successful pregnancy. Had an early scan at 7 weeks last time, even saw a good strong HB but baby stopped growing one week later, which was only picked up at the dating scan. This time round I'm 6 weeks along and already had two scans, another one next week, because of my recurrent bleeding episodes. I'm planning on getting another private one at 9 or 10 weeks because, as you said, I'm terrified of another MMC.

LuckyMoonstone · 19/10/2022 14:33

@ChloeN personally I am totally put off going to private scan clinics now. Finding out i had miscarried at my local one and not at hospital made it so much worse, I felt so sorry for the lovely ladies who worked there who had to give me the terrible news. And now I feel like they’ll remember me and if it happens again I just couldn’t take the pity. I’m going to be so emotional and anxious next time, I’d rather be in hospital around medical professionals who expect to have to go through this sort of thing (if you get what I mean), even if it means waiting 12 weeks. But that’s just my feelings.

Mariabombia · 19/10/2022 14:51

@ChloeN we're thinking not to go for one as last time the baby had a heartbeat but was growing slow so I knew something wasn't right for weeks before I had the miscarriage ...& if we had one this time and something was wrong, probably nothing would be done for ages anyway. May cause unnecessary worry too. Think just going to risk waiting until 12 (if I get that far) but just feel so pessimistic :( it feels like a very long time to wait.

@theblueflowers that sounds like a good plan! I know exactly what you mean, I feel too anxious to join in on any of those chats. I think mc separates pregnancy and actually having a baby in your mind, if that makes sense? Even though I'm pregnant I still feel like I'm ttc as it's not certain it will become a baby. Sorry I'm totally rambling and not making much sense at all 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

ChloeN · 19/10/2022 14:52

@Indianna2006 they are good odds, maybe I’d go for 9 weeks this time but even those 5 weeks seem such a long time😖

@RaliaMusca I feel like I would be similar to you and want more than 1 because I don’t think even seeing a scan with a heartbeart will be enough to make me feel better!

@LuckyMoonstone me too, I felt like they weren’t very well equipped to deal with loss even though it surely must happen all the time! I wish I could just pay the hospital to give me the scan, they were so much better at dealing with it at the epu!

ChloeN · 19/10/2022 14:54

@Mariabombia 😖 I feel like they’re great if everything is okay, but if not they end up making everything so much worse! I’d love to wait till 12 weeks and it’ll all be okay but would be so gutted if it wasn’t
