It's awful isn't it @ChloeN, I just came off after the mc to protect myself and tbh I've not even thought about reactivating yet!!

@calimc83 17 weeks!! aww congrats!!!

lovenaps · 05/10/2022 07:17

@Mariabombia I was looking at nursing but it was all very hypothetical! Oh it is so exciting you are getting a dog!
@HalWin2221 long walks are the best!
@calimc83 congratulations on 17 weeks! That's a great milestone 😍

Have not even ovulated in this cycle yet and already stocked up on OPTKs and pregnancy tests for the next cycle(s) as not feeling very optimistic... Also bought 'It starts with the egg'' and my FertiLily is arriving today!

Cindy974 · 05/10/2022 07:50

8dpo feeling classic AF symptoms think she is definitely on her way 😢

bunnykins123 · 05/10/2022 08:08

@calimc83 17 weeks!! That's gone so fast! Are you finding out the gender of the baby or will it be a surprise?

@Indianna2006 it's interesting what you say about getting a positive opk and falling pregnant a while after the positive. I also have a few friends that followed CB opks and never fell pregnant and when they stopped using them, they did. Makes me wonder if you could miss your fertile period if you just wait for that time. I think @calimc83 your friend might be onto something here! I'm going to try more frequency - I have to try something as what I'm doing isn't working 😂

bunnykins123 · 05/10/2022 08:09

@Cindy974 8dpo is still super early. Think about it this way: majority of beans don't implant until about 7/8 DPO so it's unlikely your body would be showing much of anything until about 11/12 DPO 🤞

Luna57 · 05/10/2022 08:18

@calimc83 i was kind of wanting to wait til 16/17 week mark if I get that far to tell my family it would take us to Christmas but with ds I showed very early I was 11 weeks pregnant on my wedding day (lockdown and postponed wedding) and I have a definite wee bump in pics when I look back.

I’ve only been off work a few days and I’m so bored I feel like I’m in lockdown because if I leave the house I spend money on shite. I’ve actually resorted to housework 😂 I’ve another 5/6 weeks before I’ll be working on the ground. My work wait til you’ve had your 12 week scan. I’ve had to put my phone on flight mode and ignoring my family and friends in work to make it look like I’m on a flight otherwise they’ll ask why I’m off. At the minute a few have noticed I’ve been taken off flights but the good old ear infection excuse has come out. Wonder if I can push that for another few weeks 😂

ChloeN · 05/10/2022 08:22

@Luna57 it must be bad if you’re resorted to housework lol🤣🤣 I’ve got the morning off work, I might have to do the washing to distract myself from ttc😂 I’ll be on mumsnet all morning 😵‍💫

MrsCristianoX · 05/10/2022 08:27

@bunnykins123 I was thinking the exact same last night..going try and DTD more. Great 😕

Luna57 · 05/10/2022 08:32

@ChloeN ive a load already on and debating washing the carpets. This shouldn’t be crossing my mind before 9am 😂 my plan today should really be looking for my engagement ring I lost it in the house over 2 weeks ago and haven’t seen it since hoping ds or my 2 dogs haven’t ate it 😬

bunnykins123 · 05/10/2022 08:34

@MrsCristianoX I know. Tbh I do think we haven't done 'it' enough ☹️ with my 3 early losses, 2x were 1 attempt (yippee!) and the other was 3 so I was holding onto that but alas, no joy since. DD was about 6 🫣 The issue is I'm not sure DH has it in him for much more than 2/3!!!

Everythingzrosie · 05/10/2022 11:14

I can’t keep up with the thread 😭 I keep forgetting to look in and by the time I do it’s 15 pages later x

Everythingzrosie · 05/10/2022 11:16

Dh and I had sex 4 days after AF finished. The following day I had brown . It stopped 24 hours later but was abit scary seeing it. I’m cd 14 and ovulate around day 18-21 so it’s that time again 😬 first cycle after my MMC.

Everythingzrosie · 05/10/2022 11:16

Brown cm that was meant to say.

RaliaMusca · 05/10/2022 11:38

Hi everyone,
Been gone for three days and soooo much to catch up on! Hope you're all doing ok in your individual situations.

My pregnancy tests are still getting stronger every day (see pic). I had a really heavy bleed last week that lasted several days but as I'm only 5 weeks epu won't scan me and before they've scanned me, they won't consider progesterone.
I'm super worried it's an ectopic but my GP just said to wait until I'm 6 weeks.
I have very mild twinges on my left but I had the same with my last pregnancy, which was a MC but wasn't ectopic.

TTC after miscarriage Thread 11 🤞🏼✨
HalWin2221 · 05/10/2022 12:25

@RaliaMusca hope you’re doing ok, it’s good to have an update! Those lines are definitely harder! I think sometimes we do symptom spot when we are worried about miscarriage, are they going to scan you at 6 weeks?

Also, update for you ladies - I’m based in the UK so not sure if this is relevant to you all. But following my second MC last month the EPU advised that I spoke with the GP, they’ve just rang and I feel like I could cry as I feel listened too! 😂 I’ve had 2 MC so I thought they’d give me the whole ‘you need to have a third’ but they said there has been some movement in the way miscarriages are being dealt with and the guidance is that they need to do more! So she has given me a blood test to see if I have PCOS and ordered me an ultrasound. Also referred me to the reoccurring miscarriage clinic, she said that even if the reoccurring miscarriage clinic refuse my referral they can send all my results to them and the consultant will give a recommendation letter! I didn’t even need to push with any of it, she gave it all up for free! Sorry if you know all this, just thought I would share 🥲

ChloeN · 05/10/2022 12:36

@HalWin2221 that’s such good news! At least you’re being listened to and they seem to want to help you☺️xx

@RaliaMusca your tests look really strong, hoping it’s a good outcome for you🥰

@Everythingzrosie how you feeling about trying again after your mmc? X

Everythingzrosie · 05/10/2022 12:54

@ChloeN Hiya, I’m not sure. I want to be pregnant again but I’m terrified ☹️ I’ve not got time on my side. I’m 44.

bunnykins123 · 05/10/2022 12:59

@Everythingzrosie I get that almost every cycle now. I spot after my period for about 2 days and sometimes I get a bit near O. I've had a hysteroscopy to look inside and everything is tickety-boo. I wouldn't worry too much unless it happens regularly. Have you had tests done to check fsh, AMH etc?

@HalWin2221 that's really good news! It's a bit of a postcode lottery regarding GPS referral process. I got mine after 3 early losses which in theory isn't covered, but I got mine easily enough. It does take the pressure off a bit knowing they are taking the miscarriages seriously! And as they should too - it's an absolutely heartbreaking situation to be in after 1 time let alone 3.

@RaliaMusca tests look good 👍

Everythingzrosie · 05/10/2022 13:31

@bunnykins123 I thought it might be left over from my Af but it was almost a week after. I’m 44 so it might be perimenopause? I haven’t had any fertility tests since 2011 when I went through tests before IVF. I get regular periods still.

Luna57 · 05/10/2022 13:44

@HalWin2221 thats great news! You’d wonder is it because your gp was female that she’s pushing this along? I genuinely think females understand fertility issues more. When I’d just haf ds my male doctor pushed the pill on me so quickly. I was only 6 weeks pp had a horrendous episiotomy scar that was contraception enough for me. I finally gave in and took the pill my hormones weren’t ready for more hormones I had the worst few months of my life if I wasn’t angry I was crying I was essentially depressed. I came off the pill and all these bad feelings left. I just don’t think a female doctor would of pushed artificial hormones on me like that so soon after birth. I ended up going back and asking for the coil. I only got my referral letter the week I found out I was pregnant this time around… 7 months that took to even say they’ve received word about my referral that wasn’t an appointment.

TheBirdintheCave · 05/10/2022 13:52

I woke up with a fever so my temperature chart now looks insane 😂

Hope everyone is doing ok!

ChloeN · 05/10/2022 14:02

@Everythingzrosie totally get that, I’m in the same boat. I’m excited to ttc as it gives me hope but I’m also scared of having another mmc too… its so hard

MrsCristianoX · 05/10/2022 14:23

@Everythingzrosie I'm not too far off you age wise. It does make it harder. Would this be your first DC? Im in a pickle health wise. A phone call with a doctor this morning ended up with him prescribing something I know I can't take ttc. So I've to think long and hard now.

HalWin2221 · 05/10/2022 14:24

@Luna57, when I first booked in the receptionist (female) originally booked me in with a male doctor but then said if I could wait an extra day she could book me in with a female doctor who was really nice! (Waiting definitely paid off). I think women are just naturally more nurturing!

that is terrible what you went though!! I hate how much doctors push the pill to ‘fix’ everything!

bunnykins123 · 05/10/2022 14:52

@TheBirdintheCave oh no! That's happened to me before. Nightmare when trying ttc 🤦‍♀️ hope you're feeling ok! I've got a cold too - great timing!

@MrsCristianoX I hope everything is ok? It's hard when you're faced with those decisions.
