@HalWin2221 @FfayeN @Luna57 Thank you. I already feel more ‘at home’ in this thread. As much as I would rather this wasn’t necessary for any of us, it’s nice to have a place to connect with ladies that have been through similar journeys. xx

@Indianna2006 ok so I just watched the insertion video. Safe to say I am relieved to understand where the dangly bit stays 😅😅. Feeling a little silly!!

@ChickenT2b there was someone else going to give it a try in the last few days I can't remember who though 🫣.
Go for the actual branded ferti-Lily not an imitation one. It's super flexible and after one go you'll be a whizz at getting it in there. I try and hold the edges in whilst pulling the 'tail' (which puts it the right way again) to stop pulling it out a little. It's easy to get in, the hardest bit for me is getting it out. Needs quite the tug so I now try and pinch it together to break the seal 😂. Jeez it's gets graphic writing it down 🤣.
Just give the instructions a good read first as you need to boil it to sterilise before using it.
Good luck though xx

I got my crosshairs this morning on Fertility Friend! :D Do I stop temping now or do I keep going? 🤔

@Mariabombia I've seen a few ladies on this thread previously fight for progesterone. There seems to be massive conflict between the guidelines and 'ensuring there is a heartbeat' before prescribing. Try your GP again, you may be lucky!

@ChickenT2b I have the 'imitation' one. Tbf never figured it out. For me I find it ginormous and it doesn't go 'up' easily. I did buy a fertilily to compare and it's exactly the same. No difference at all so sent it back. I'm going to try the imitation one this month so let's see but I do think they seem to have good success rates!

I missed quite a bit yesterday so catching up now. @mummatara how are you feeling? Has the bleeding progressed much? I hope you're doing ok but it's good that things seem to be moving now. @LuckyMoonstone thats good news that it's low risk and you can wait a bit. Did they talk through options if it continues to go up? Are you still getting pains? @Luna57 I hope the spotting has stopped!! 🤞

@TheBirdintheCave I would keep going for a few days just to make sure it stays up. Wahooo hello 2ww 👋

The thing is the dr wouldn't even speak to me & got the receptionist to tell me I can't have it because I've had 1 mc and that's just 'normal'.
Don't really know what to think or do as I may not need it but it just really peed me off yesterday that the dr wouldn't even talk to me about it.

Report
MrsCristianoX · 04/10/2022 08:05

@Mariabombia do you think it would help if you spoke to a dr? Then the dr could explain why it isn't needed? Miscarriages are devastating as we all now and I think it might be harder to refuse you face to face or tell you why it isn't recommended.. I'm sorry you are stressing lovely xx

@Luna57 hope your spotting has stopped and you had a good rest last night xx I'm gonna have to test soon. Have been putting it off for too long🙁

Report
bunnykins123 · 04/10/2022 08:12

@Mariabombia absolutely no way should you be taking medical advice from a receptionist. You should call back and speak to a GP directly about it. Quite scary to think that receptionists have the authority to do this!

@MrsCristianoX oooo when are you testing? How many DPO are you? Good luckkkk 🤞

@TheBirdintheCave I always carry on temping

@bunnykins123 thanks lovely it still hasn't got much further than just there when I wipe but still have headache and backache. I'm sure it will progress I might try and do a bit of exercise later to get everything moving

@MrsCristianoX good luck if you're testing today 🤞🏼

Yeah 100% but the drs receptionist wouldnt book an app for me even when I said I felt anxious about it , just said speak to community midwife or epu. Community midwife receptionist said midwife will speak to me about it at booking app which will be at about 10 weeks and epu said they can give me it if dr prescribes it but epu can only give it out if there is a heartbeat which I won't have at 4 weeks. It's like a big circle of passing me onto someone else.

Anyway... how're you getting on @MrsCristianoX ? Are you due on today?
Hope your okay @Luna57 and no more spotting xx

Very true @bunnykins123 I'm going to ring back I think. It was stressing me out yesterday and I need to try keep zen. Why is everything a bloody fight !!

MrsCristianoX · 04/10/2022 08:23

@Mariabombia I'm due tomorrow but I usually start a day or so early. Thing is I keep thinking I'm gonna come on🤷‍♀️ and I felt more pregnant last week for some reason. If you need progesterone 10 weeks is far too late. I feel frustrated for you 😡

TheBirdintheCave · 04/10/2022 08:30

@MrsCristianoX I'm impressed that you've held off testing for this long! :O Will you take one tomorrow?

Report
FfayeN · 04/10/2022 08:32

@TheBirdintheCave I am keeping temping as some get a dip with implantation so it's another way to see if this cycle may or may not be successful 🤞🏼

Good luck to all you using the fertilily this cycle x

Thank you everyone the spotting has stopped and def don’t feel as achey🤞🏼

@MrsCristianoX will you test today? We’re so invested here!

im also very invested in these chats about fertilily how long do you keep it up there? Is it the same as a period cup? So many questions 😂

@TheBirdintheCave I'm off today and tomorrow. Have a few aches today and wanna crawl back into bed now but will absolutely test tomorrow. Thank you!! I'm proud of myself too 😊 I'll keep you all updated xx good luck with the TWW lovely Xx

@Mariabombia there is such a lack of care from your gp/midwife if you’re telling them how anxious you are you’d think they’d even give you a call for reassurance but I’m sure your gp is taking calls for people with a sore eyelash 🙄 when I had phoned the ask my gp for hcg blood tests the receptionist barely let me finish and said the doctor said to phone epu… pause a little longer next time so it seems you actually spoke to a doctor. There’s no compassion at all

calimc83 · 04/10/2022 08:46

@Mariabombia huge congratulations lovely! Sorry to hear you're having a hard time getting progesterone. I had the same battle. I managed to book in with the GP and although sympathetic she told me that the guidelines state it will only be prescribed after a scan to confirm the pregnancy is in the correct place. Now I'm not suggesting you lie but you could always stretch the truth slightly, try hold on another week or so and tell them that you're spotting. They'll get you in for an early scan and hopefully prescribe it from there xx
@MrsCristianoX eagerly awaiting your test!! Really have a good feeling about this xx

@ChickenT2b let me know how you get on🤣

@Luna57 I think it says you leave it in from 20mins to an hour! It’s like a different shaped period cup with like a long stem thing, it looks totally weird 🥲🤣

AF won’t come whilst I’ve got hcg. So there’s nothing to trigger my body to bleed it out, so even if it is just some tissue there’s no way of getting it out. And it’s too small to be seen on scan so they can’t do surgery as they don’t know where to look! So basically seeing if whatever is in me just dissolved on its own. If hcg isn’t coming down next week, it’ll have to be the drugs, it’s the only option

@mummatara I really hope so 🤞 it sounds like your body is gearing up which is good. I hope you are ok 💕

@Mariabombia it really shouldn't be. Can you just call to arrange an appointment with the GP and not give any further details? Maybe just say you are spotting and see if that pushes them along a bit?

@MrsCristianoX well done for not testing! You've done so well 👏 hopefully this is your month!

@calimc83 👋👋👋 how are you doing?? How far gone are you now? You must be almost 16 weeks?! Hope all is going well with you 💕

Hi Guys, hope you don't mind me jumping in! Currently going through a chemical, I was 5 weeks on Sunday and has cramping from the day before, was due to have a scan yesterday and the pregnancy test at the hospital came up negative so they never did a scan. They've told me to do another test in a week and then get back to them. Clear blue yesterday showed pregnancy at 1-2 weeks which shows my levels of HCG are obvs dropping/not increasing as I should be almost 3 weeks post conception. I began to bleed shortly after, cramps have been horrible! Hoping to TTC as soon as possible. Anyone else tried straight after a chemical?
