@Luna57 no they were just picking up hcg so I stopped bothering with them, I’m not going to ovulate until hcg has gone. If it’s not a full on ectopic pregnancy then it would be just a bit of leftover tissue somewhere maybe. Even a blighted ovum should’ve been seen on a scan

ChloeN · 03/10/2022 18:42

@Mariabombia 100% so many people have success with progesterone so surely it’s worth a go!! Sorry if I’ve missed it but was low progesterone an issue for you? Xx

Mariabombia · 03/10/2022 18:55

No idea what the issue was @ChloeN ! That's why I'm just wanting to try anything 🙏🏻 xx

ChloeN · 03/10/2022 19:07

@Mariabombia im sure it can’t do any harm can it… I suppose you could buy a cream you buy off Amazon but not sure how safe they are!

mummatara · 03/10/2022 19:07

@Mariabombia was your MC a MMC or spontaneous?

Mariabombia · 03/10/2022 19:29

@mummatara a mc, but baby was growing slower than it should.

@ChloeN I'd only want to take it if a dr/nurse prescribed it as I'm not sure if I do need it or not but my frustration is with them not even talking to me about why I didn't need it. Just thought there would be more support I guess 😓
Sorry to ranting!

MrsCristianoX · 03/10/2022 19:53

@Luna57 how are doing lovely? Has the spotting stopped? Xx

mummatara · 03/10/2022 20:06

@Mariabombia did you have any spotting? Someone will correct me if Im wrong but I think low progesterone causes spotting in early pregnancy as it's not maintaining the lining? If baby was growing slower then I think most likely low progesterone was not the issue but it's so hard to tell and especially hard when some trusts just seem to give it out regardless and it won't ever hurt. Could you afford to see a private GP and see if they will prescribe it for you?

ChloeN · 03/10/2022 20:13

@Mariabombia I would be the exact same, would be nice to just talk to someone who can offer some advice! Xx

Indianna2006 · 03/10/2022 20:37

@LuckyMoonstone another week of waiting! What a faff it’s been for you. So sorry. But like you said error on caution before taking any meds which will delay ttc. Cos your numbers are so low. I’m hopefully given time it will resolve on its own. But it still is more waiting.

yes agree with @mummatara unlikely a progesterone issue for you @Mariabombia if it was growing slowly. Progesterone wouldn't cause that. All progesterone does is maintain your lining to keep the pregnancy in there. If the baby was growing slowly it would of been a chromosomal issue more than likely. An nothing you or anyone could of done to prevent that. It was predestined already to not work out as such. An your no more likely to have that happen again than anyone else if your all healthy an well.
I know it doesn’t always feel that way though. Even after just one mc. The anxiety is unreal.

IF I get this baby..see even I can still only say IF. Both my two living children will be rainbow babies 🙂
proof that totally healthy babies can come after mc caused by chromosomal issues as often it’s totally normal. An often is bad luck. Altho it’s very bloody annoying when they tell you that at the time 😡

@LuckyMoonstone is the next steps just to wait it out until hopefully af passes the last bit of tissue hopefully? I’m sure your mind is going 100mph!!

@MrsCristianoX im feeling a bit better thank you! The brown discharge seems to of stopped I’m feeling sore but not cramps more achey so just hoping it’s the bean burying in deeper. I’ve never had that before but apparently it’s quite common (from what dr google said 😂)

Mariabombia · 03/10/2022 20:45

Thank you ladies ❤️ @ChloeN, @mummatara @Indianna2006 the anxiety really is unreal isn't it. I was never told that was likely what happened so in my head I'm just trying to cling on to anything that might help but yeah that makes complete sense. Thank you so much for your msgs xx

Indianna2006 · 03/10/2022 20:47

@ROZRAX hi and welcome to the group. In my opinion I would say hold off for tests now. Nhs won’t do them until a year. And doing them privately at this point would perhaps be a waste of money as Altho ttc 6 months feels like a lifetime when your in it. That timeframe is very normal before people even fall. And you feel obviously pretty quickly but unfortunately lost the E pregnancy.
I’d say keep going doing what your doing. Trying not to be too disheartened. And likely within 6 months you may of had another BFP. You are clearly both fertile together. So it’s just time and patience. And hopefully next one will be the one 😊

basically trying to say I don’t think there is any need to panic as yet. Although easier said than done. And for some it eases there anxiety but personally I would wait for private tests.
I paid out after 11 cycles ttc and got pregnant that blood cycle 😂😂😂 and now been pregnant 3 times in like 6 months. So alas even I didn’t need to panic nearly at year mark. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s just luck sometimes.

also keep going with fertilily. It’s helped me each time. Worked on my 3rd cycle using it for this current bean in my belly 😊🤞🏼

Had a busy week (very good for the soul...) so came here now to catch up and see how everyone is doing! @LuckyMoonstone so sorry this nightmare is still not over for you!

I am CD13, decided to do OPKs this month butare still trying every 2-3 days and started very early on CD7. We are both exhausted at the moment and just could not manage today, my body can't take anymore 😳Still haven't had a positive OPK this month, my ovulation is all over the place at the moment though so might ovulate late this month or not ovulate at all. Will hopefully try again tomorrow...

How is everyone keeping busy during cold Autumn evenings? ☕I bought some chai tea (not latte but tea!) off Amazon, think it's caffeine-free so will be my healthy replacement for black tea with milk!

Last time I was saying how I was trying to not take people's comments about conception or m/c into heart but have to admit my progress in this area has not been great! If someone says something stupid, I usually end up having a bad day. People who conceived after one try are usually the best at advising (when not asked) how to feel or what to (not) do with life😾My take on this is pretty much - unless you have been through it, you do not know what it feels like so be there for people who are in this situation but keep your opinions to yourself.

Indianna2006 · 03/10/2022 20:53

@Mariabombia yes of course. It’s understandable. And I totally get it. I just try help people see the rationale side and not panic. One mc doesn’t mean you will have another.
chemical pregnancies are very common because there so early on. Spontaneous mc or spotting before mc or if were told you had low progesterone after ovulation. Yes progesterone could well be the cause
.
but slow developing embryos. Missed miscarriages where heart stops beating etc. majority are chromosomal. It was predestined from the moment that egg and sperm met and divided it wasn’t going to become a healthy baby. And nothing you could of done would of made any difference. Sometimes that can help in those instances to get your head round it ❤️

You almost have to go for it again and just have hope next time you may be on the right side of the stats 🤞🏼

@Indianna2006 when you say 'keep going with fertility', can I ask if you are referring to some sort of supplements, app, etc? 😊

Reading this has helped me feel a bit better right this moment, you are like mum to us trying to calm us down ❤💐

@Indianna2006 ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ thank you, I really appreciate your messages xx

Indianna2006 · 03/10/2022 21:06

@lovenaps haha ah I am wise ole owl my friends call me 🤣🦉 very much a realist. But I have to rationalise things and it helps ME cope with my own anxiety about things.

yes so the fertilily she was referring to is like a little conception cup device. You can buy it from boots etc or Amazon. It’s a small flexible cup basically which you put into your vagina after sex and push it deep right upto near your cervix so all the soerm gets pushed towards you cervix and you don’t get so much fall back coming back out.

  1. it’s meant to give the swimmers a helping hand getting closer to Temne fertile mucus
  2. removes them quickly from the vagina which the PH there kills them. There only safe deep near the cervix in the fertile fluid.
  3. also if you place it right basically means your cervix is sat into the pool of sperm. So easy easy access for the swimmers to swim into the cervix
  4. higher sperm percentage reaching the cervix means higher chance of pregnancy. As so many of them die on the way in the tubes.

alas irrelevant from all of that. I have NO idea why it took me 11 cycles to fall. But I feel like my cervix is VERY deep and tilted. And I didn’t have much CM.
i got pregnant with fertilily first time I tried it and place it deeply correctly. But was mmc. Then used again first time after mc and had a chemical.
man fell again cycle 3 with this current bean in my belly. So no coincidence for me. It deff did something to help.

think my vagina was just killing all of my husbands soerm for 11 months tbh 😂😂

@Indianna2006 thank you!❤

mummatara · 03/10/2022 21:20

@lovenaps oh I love a chai tea. I don't drink milk and this was a tasty one to have black as the spice gave it some extra kick but I hate to spoil it by saying it isn't caffeine free unfortunately 😭 I was surprised when I found out

lovenaps · 03/10/2022 21:24

@mummatara yup, just checked and you're right 😭😂

mummatara · 03/10/2022 21:37

@lovenaps I naively thought that only normal tea was caffeinated 😂 I didn't even realise green had caffeine in until last year 🤦🏼‍♀️ how did I get to 36 years of age and not know this 🤷🏼‍♀️

ChickenT2b · 03/10/2022 23:29

@Mariabombia Tommy’s recurrent miscarriage clinic give progesterone to anyone that has had a previous miscarriage. There’s no harm in discussing with your GP, I have heard that some will prescribe. Or if you have had more than one mc, contact Tommys, they may advise and are very friendly.

ChickenT2b · 03/10/2022 23:36

@Indianna2006 really interesting on the ferti lily thank you. I keep seeing this come up and am wondering if it’s a sign I should try it.
I know I have suffered from recurrent BV in the past so don’t think my PH balance is great. I’m taking lactobacilli pessaries once a week but maybe this would be a good shout.

I have to say it looks a little scary!! Where on earth does that long bit go? Inside the cervix?! I swear my vagina is not that deep! (Sorry TMI!) is it hard to insert correctly?!
