WELL the EPU just rang to say my hcg has gone up to something like 58 from 41 the other day, so they want me back in tomorrow to see a consultant. I bloody told them there was something not right. Ffs this is just gonna drag it out even more

RainbowSearching · 29/09/2022 17:35

@bunnykins123 I’ve been referred but the hinted at waiting list doesn’t fill me with hope and I don’t feel like I can wait long in terms of plans for another baby. I have a screenshot from NICE from this year saying that they recommend it in cases of recurrent miscarriage, at a dose of 400mg.

TheBirdintheCave · 29/09/2022 17:57

@Mariabombia Congratulations! :D

@LuckyMoonstone I'm glad you persisted with them and they've seen you were right!

Indianna2006 · 29/09/2022 18:00

@Mariabombia congratulations. Lovely BFP 🥳

@LuckyMoonstone ugh did you have more bloods today then?! I’m presuming a frer would be a bit darker again. The low hcg is low though. Like really early loss low but it’s rising still. What on earth. Very bizarre circumstances. Stumped me there you have.

@RainbowSearching ahh bless you. As far as I’m aware progesterone wouldn’t help in cases of like mmc. So the EPU nurses meant they would prescribe it if you get bleeding because if you have a progesterone issue you would shed your lining when you shouldn’t hence it causing a miscarriage.
If you have had missed miscarriages. Your progesterone was adequate. Because it held onto the pregnancy in those cases even when it was no longer viable.
does that make more sense? Not to say progesterone won’t help you. But if two were missed miscarriages it is likely not a resulting factor that lost them due to a progesterone issue.
Progesterone issues would be spontaneous miscarriages with bleeding.

@Indianna2006 it’s all just so stupid, why can’t anything ever be straight forward for me. And now this is delaying getting pregnant again even more. And I’m terrified there’s going to be something seriously wrong with me

RaliaMusca · 29/09/2022 18:09

I've spoken to the GP but they just want me to test again in a week. If it's still positive then, I'll get a scan around the 6 week mark.

Indianna2006 · 29/09/2022 18:11

@LuckyMoonstone 🙈🙈 honestly it’s very confusing. I think with such low levels there maybe can’t be anything seriously wrong? I’d think they’d be much higher but it is all very bizarre. Let’s see what the consultant says tomorrow. So frustrating for you. Just must feel like endless setbacks.

@Indianna2006 that does make sense, thank you! Miscarriage is a horribly confusing and conflicting place at times, and 1 I’d rather be totally clueless about 😟But here we are, trying to navigate something that’s meant to be ‘natural’ 😢

Mariabombia · 29/09/2022 18:24

Thanks ladies @bunnykins123 , @Indianna2006 ,@TheBirdintheCave 😁😁😁😁😁!! I plan to do one of the clear blue word tests on Sunday when AF would be due. Really really praying it's a sticky bean & AF doesn't come 🙏🏻

@LuckyMoonstone So frustrated for you but so glad they're seeing you again tomorrow!

@RaliaMusca really hope it's new pregnancy for you lovely ! I do know someone that had an AF and was early pregnant

HalWin2221 · 29/09/2022 18:46

@LuckyMoonstone really hope you’re ok. There is nothing more frustrating than not knowing what is going on & having a delay on trying again :( sending you lots of virtual hugs! How is the pain?

thanks for the reply on Progesterone ladies! I had a small bleed before I MC this time, so I’m questioning if they should of prescribed progesterone!

LuckyMoonstone · 29/09/2022 18:49

@HalWin2221 thank you, the pain isn’t severe but it’s still there all the time, and is covering more area now. Whichever doctor I speak to tomorrow, I will be telling them that I said I was in pain on Tuesday and nobody was bothered

HalWin2221 · 29/09/2022 18:52

@LuckyMoonstone They thought I was having an Ectopic they sent me to A&E. do you feel like you could go there to be get seen?

LuckyMoonstone · 29/09/2022 19:00

@HalWin2221 it’s not a&e worthy I don’t think, I have no idea what will happens at this appointment tomorrow either

FfayeN · 29/09/2022 19:38

@HalWin2221 @RainbowSearching what @Indianna2006 said! I was prescribed it by Prof Quenby when I went for her trial, her ethos is that it won't do harm and I had had one of each type by that point so she prescribed it just incase and this was supported by my Gyno at the RMU 😊

FfayeN · 29/09/2022 19:40

@LuckyMoonstone oh lady I really feel for you, honestly I do. I just hope you FINALLY have some answers tomorrow. What a frustrating few weeks 😣. Let all your frustrations out here hun xxx

LuckyMoonstone · 29/09/2022 19:56

@FfayeN thank you, I am so fed up and stressed out 😖

FfayeN · 29/09/2022 20:01

@LuckyMoonstone totally understandably!!! Xx

bunnykins123 · 29/09/2022 20:56

@LuckyMoonstone omg I've just seen you're update 😥 I'm so so sorry. Can you take your partner with you tomorrow for support and to back your corner if it comes to demanding more tests? I feel like you've been treated very badly. Big big hugs from me 💕

Luna57 · 29/09/2022 21:26

@Mariabombia congratulations! They’re great lines for 11dpo! Hope it’s the stickiest bean. Had you written yourself off this month for it to be a shock?

@LuckyMoonstone at least something is being done about it now. Sorry it’s rising though and will delay things for you. You’ll maybe get more answers tomorrow.

Mariabombia · 29/09/2022 21:40

@Luna57 thank you!!! Yeah I'm so shocked because I haven't had the same symptoms as I did with my first pregnancy & It took 8 cycles to ttc then.

Do you think it's okay for the hcg to look that strong so early? #foreverworrying😓

How're you getting on??

MrsCristianoX · 29/09/2022 21:43

@Mariabombia stop it you! Perfect lines and praying for a sticky bean 🙏💕

Margo34 · 29/09/2022 21:44

@Mariabombia oooh strong lines!! 💪 Congratulations and 🙏 for a sticky one for you!!

Mariabombia · 29/09/2022 21:47

Thank you so much ladies @MrsCristianoX @Margo34 😘
Hope you're both getting on okay?

Margo34 · 29/09/2022 21:57

@Mariabombia Yes I'm ok thanks, a bit emotional and wobbly still. Got my first NHS scan next week which can't come soon enough because I think that will help settle me a bit. Lots going on at work too arghh.

@RainbowSearching @HalWin2221 I'm on progresterone, my previous losses were all spontaneous MCs and I'm still BF my toddler so I wondered whether that could be causing me to have low progresterone levels and causing my MCs although I never had my levels checked. I asked my GP outright for it at the start of this pregnancy and they prescribed no issues, I was prepared to argue for it but didn't need to in the end (and the GP was a male, too)! Started taking it when I started spotting and it has held off since! They only prescribed to 12w though so coming off it soon is making me anxious 😩

MrsCristianoX · 29/09/2022 22:07

@Mariabombia I feel perfect like nothing is wrong. Due AF Tuesday/Wednesday xx
