@LuckyMoonstone so glad this is not an ectopic!

Luna57 · 29/09/2022 11:19

@Bouncingbeat you might of had a cp with lingering hcg like @LuckyMoonstone. hopefully the nurse will do some bloods and see what the craic is there.

@TheBirdintheCave the airline just goes by government guidance now and tbh passengers with covid passports can have covid and travel still, I’ve definitely had covid positive passengers onboard. We’ve been very lucky and we’re expanding and getting busier and haven’t cancelled one flight (which isn’t great for some of us as we’re worked to the max). It is a great job, we don’t do night stops or anything unless it was emergency related so I’m always home after a flight even if it is 4am. We’re currently going through trying to get our paid sick days raised as we’re entitled to between 10-30 days but our pilots get 6 months full pay. They get the best perks while we pick up passengers illnesses and have to work through it so we don’t lose money.

@MrsCristianoX oooooh! Will you be doing a 10dpo test in a couple days?

@lovenaps have you OPK in the past? I conceived ds using OPK and it pinpointed conception so when I had a had an early scan I could say to the day. Altho when it came to having my actual due date for him they moved it from 1st September to 25th august but sure he came 7th after induction. I’m convinced if I was never induced I’d still be pregnant with him 😂 when I fell pregnant in July there it was a surprise which unfortunately ended in MC and then this pregnancy was a shock to as I wasn’t opking too. I’m really intrigued to find out how far along I am now. I hope October is your month!

Luna57 · 29/09/2022 11:25

Sorry for the long posts and multiple posts but…

im a bit pissed off. I went to the hygienist this morning I go every 6 months to a lovely girl. Today it was a new girl and she asked me was there any change to my medical history I let her know I’m pregnant. She asked how far along I am, I said only around 6 weeks it was a shock and she said oh who’s fault was that? I just laughed it off and thought that was a cheeky comment. She then started the clean… she BUTCHERED me! Every gum in my mouth is cut and even my lip has a huge cut and bruise on it I had to ask her to stop once and I’ve never had to do that before. I’m in agony. I got into the car and cried. I text dh a picture after and told him what she said and he told me to make a complaint. I’m not a complainer but with the comment and pain she inflicted on me I feel like going full Karen in an email to the dentist. Have we any hygienist in this thread?

Everythingzrosie · 29/09/2022 11:25

I stayed away while I had my first AF after my MMC, that’s a sh!tty 6 days over with, onwards and upwards x will read back to catch up x

LuckyMoonstone · 29/09/2022 11:30

Urgh so my docs appointment day was pretty crap. Basically he didnt believe that I knew when I ovulated, so the fact that it’s taking me almost a month to ovulate and then only a 7-10 day LP means absolutely nothing to him. He can see that my thyroid function is low but I’ve got to have more blood tests in a couple of weeks and then AGAIN in 3 months before we can even address that with medication 😐 despite the fact that he could see back in 2017 that it was low so it’s obviously not a problem that’s going away. And in the same breathe he says the thyroid issues could be causing the problems getting & staying pregnant so WHY NOT sort this out sooner ffs??
The only good thing is that my 3 MCs mean he can refer me for extra help there but it’ll be after I’ve had this next blood test, and THEN a follow up appointment before he refers me. So again, months 😐 I’m so pissed off.

MrsCristianoX · 29/09/2022 11:47

@Luna57 jeez 'whose fault was that' really?? I'm angry for you. Not a hygienist but I hate getting me teeth cleaned v painful 😢

ChloeN · 29/09/2022 12:34

@lovenaps i started tracking ovulation for the first time this month, I don’t think it helped me fall pregnant as such but I ovulated a day or 2 later than expected so at least I knew my period would then be later!

@LuckyMoonstone thats shit, why are they so unhelpful!

lovenaps · 29/09/2022 12:36

@Luna57 yeah, I used ovulation kits but not every single month - depends how I feel.

As for your dental experience, ouch 😧I never had similar swellings and pains when getting hygiene done and it seems you did not have such experience before either so not sure what to think..

Luna57 · 29/09/2022 12:41

@LuckyMoonstone your doctor sounds like a male and maybe slightly older. Sorry to sound ageist and sexist but he sounds like he’s just spewed information from a text book. Is there no way to request another doctor at your gp. My gp is female and fantastic she went through ivf and she’s actually my sister in laws gp too (she went through ivf also) and she couldn’t sing her praises more because she knew more about female fertility than a normal doctor would. Hopefully you get answers soon. Just sounds like you’ve not gained any answers from going but more questions.

bunnykins123 · 29/09/2022 12:42

@Luna57 ouch that sounds so painful! There should be no reason why your mouth is cut up and bleeding. I would defo follow up about that and also tell them about the remarks she made, which may have been in jest, but still really inappropriate!

@LuckyMoonstone oh I'm so sorry. I know you were banking on that appt for some clarification. Did they explain why they weren't willing to do anything now given your results clearly show an issue? Maybe it's worth getting a 2nd opinion. Great news that you've been referred though!

LuckyMoonstone · 29/09/2022 13:26

I have spoken to the female GP at my surgery on the phone before and she is really lovely so I might ring up and book a specific appointment with her. He wasn’t that old tbh but yep it was a male. I totally get that ovulation can’t be 100% confirmed just by opks and bbt etc but I’ve been doing it for bloody months, I know my body, it’s not like it’s wildly inaccurate. He really didn’t care that I’m getting my period like a week after ovulation.

RainbowSearching · 29/09/2022 13:44

Sadly joining you all!

3 miscarriages in under 12 months TTC number 2. So far I haven’t had any tests though I’m waiting on a referral now.

MrsCristianoX · 29/09/2022 13:51

@Luna57 maybe..I feel a bit more normal now which is good but bad for early pregnancy. Serves me right for whinging this morning 🙁

LuckyMoonstone · 29/09/2022 13:53

@RainbowSearching sorry to have to say welcome to the group!

RaliaMusca · 29/09/2022 14:49

Soooo two days ago I had a very very faint positive pregnancy test. That same day I started bleeding, yesterday bled quite heavily so assumed it was a CP. Bleeding became a lot lighter by this morning so I tested again to see if it's completely negative again. To my surprise it's a very clear positive. I still have some bleeding but it's on its way out. Not sure what to make of it but guess I'll just have to test again next week.

TTC after miscarriage Thread 11 🤞🏼✨
FfayeN · 29/09/2022 15:45

@LuckyMoonstone I would absolutely ask for a another appointment and get a second opinion. He's bordering on being negligent. you absolutely should not have to have more tests for them to treat the issue, what rubbish. Have you requested the medical access for your NHS app? That will give you more gusto and have an idea on your specific numbers. I'm sorry to say but you may have to get your head into this and fight your corner for the greater good. The alternative is to get an appointment with a private GP x

Mariabombia · 29/09/2022 16:06

Sooo this happened !! I'm completely in shock. Top one is this fmu and second one is after a 4 hour hold this afternoon.

I'm about 11DPO, it's much darker than my test was at 12DPO with my other pregnancy. Hope that's a good sign !!!

Don't think I can quite believe it quite yet 🙏🏻

HalWin2221 · 29/09/2022 16:10

@RainbowSearching sorry to hear about your losses, I know you’re doing ok! X

@RaliaMusca have you spoke with the GP? Might be worth them doing a blood test!

@Mariabombia congrats! BFP right there 😊

has anyone been offered or requested progesterone at early pregnancy?

HalWin2221 · 29/09/2022 16:10

Hope you’re doing ok *

FfayeN · 29/09/2022 16:25

@Mariabombia what a lovely BFP 🥰

@HalWin2221 I have been prescribed it for the first 16 weeks. Based on 3 previous miscarriages. Nothing to suggest it's that but it causes no harm giving it, just will assist if there are any progesterone issues. Not actually got so far as to use it yet x

RainbowSearching · 29/09/2022 16:30

Can I ask, how did you go about being prescribed progesterone? I’ve had 3 miscarriages now in the last 12 months, 2 of which were MMS. When I enquired after the 3rd I was told by the EPU that they would only prescribe after any early bleeding. Which to me makes zero sense when my last 2 miscarriages have been MMS so there was no bleeding to indicate anything was wrong?!

RainbowSearching · 29/09/2022 16:31

Sorry that last message for for @FfayeN, I thought it would tag you when replying to a message!

MrsCristianoX · 29/09/2022 16:38

@Mariabombia omg congratulations!!!❤️

Mariabombia · 29/09/2022 16:41

Thank you @FfayeN , @HalWin2221 & @MrsCristianoX !!!! Can't believe it 😱😱😱😱 so many thoughts going through my mind right now

bunnykins123 · 29/09/2022 16:53

@Mariabombia congratulations!

@RainbowSearching my understanding with progesterone is that the nhs are quite reluctant to prescribe it unless clinically indicated. Have you been referred to the reoccurring miscarriage clinic? I have been given literally the biggest bag full from them!

@LuckyMoonstone don't drop this one. You deserve another opinion at least. I think some men GPS can be well versed in womens issues but certainly not all. I would try and get a slot with your lady doctor and see if she agrees with his advice. Did you have another blood test today for HCG?
