@HalWin2221 welcome!! And don't apologise lovely. I was scared posting my first message too. It's not a secret group just supportive xx

ChloeN · 28/09/2022 20:05

@HalWin2221 sounds like you’ve had a rubbish time! Are you ttc baby 1? Xx

mummatara · 28/09/2022 20:10

@bunnykins123 no not been referred nhs won't refer me until we have one more which hopefully can be avoided 🤞🏼 I was just thinking if bupa would have covered it I would get it done. Tbh I don't even know what the tests are really I did see medichecks do a complete female one with 49 bio markers inc inflammation, vits thyroid and hormones for £159 though reading it I would have to stop taking the supplements I'm taking then do it on cd3 and I'm not sure I want to stop taking the supplements esp as it takes 3 months for them to even take effect. Why everything takes so long in the human body I don't know 🙄 I'm cutting dairy, gluten, soy, alcohol 😭 red meat and caffeine but I don't drink much anyway probably get most of my caffeine from chocolate 😳 I actually wonder if some of it might be a lot of sperm related too. DH caffeine and alcohol intake has definitely increased and he certainly exercises a lot less than he used to his business has just eaten more more of his time 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yesssss @MrsCristianoX the POAS early club missed you 😂 I bought frers from amazon today I won't even need them for at least a minimum of 5 weeks time 😳 like wtf is wrong with me 😂

@HalWin2221 welcome lovely sorry for your losses❤️ everyone here is the best support. Where are you in your cycle now?

HalWin2221 · 28/09/2022 21:43

Thank you all for such a warm welcome! I’m sorry to read about all your loses & going through such a confusing time! I’m glad I’m not the only one out there that could have a share in Amazon for the amount of pregnancy tests I buy, haha!

@ChloeN my OH has 2 children he’s 44. We are ttc our/my first. I’m 27 :)

@mummatara I’ve just had my 5th & thankfully final blood test with the EPAU today as I’ve just had my second MC. So I guess CD5? If we are counting the bleeding from the miscarriage?!

Mariabombia · 28/09/2022 21:54

@LuckyMoonstone Sending you a big hug today, I understand those dark days, It is the most difficult process and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I am dreading March as that would be the month our baby would have been born 💔
Your time will come, don't loose hope!

@HalWin2221 welcome, sorry to hear what you've been through ♥️

@bunnykins123 how have the new meds being going so far this month? Have you noticed any side affects?

Going to POAS tomorrow morning , should be about 11DPO 😬

MrsCristianoX · 28/09/2022 21:58

@Mariabombia omg good luck 🤞 ❤️

MrsCristianoX · 28/09/2022 21:59

@Mariabombia how are you feeling?

Mariabombia · 28/09/2022 22:03

Thanks love 😬😬😬🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻@MrsCristianoX I think I'm out because I've been a bit emotional pmsy and not had as many cramps as I had when I found out I was pregnant before but who knows eh .

How about you?? How many dpo are you now?
Xx

MrsCristianoX · 28/09/2022 22:08

@Mariabombia i think an emotional mess is pretty normal for AF and early pregnancy 🤞

My cramping turned into a stitch like pain this morning then vanished. And I have painful heartburn. That's pretty much it. 7dpo today

Mariabombia · 28/09/2022 22:14

@MrsCristianoX I was so emotionless with my first pregnancy though , that's what made me think I'm out so early on 😩 but yeah you're right it could be a sign for either!

Omg I get heartburn all the time generally, it's the worst isn't it!! Gaviscon is my best friend lol. That's a good sign though re the cramping !! 🤞🏻

MrsCristianoX · 28/09/2022 22:16

@Mariabombia I've a bottle of gaviscon double action beside my bed 😅 👍🏼

HalWin2221 · 28/09/2022 22:41

Fingers crossed for your test tomorrow @Mariabombia !

have you ladies got any recommendations on supplements etc? I’ve recently read walnuts are good for sperm quality so OH has been assigned to eat a bag a day 😂

FfayeN · 29/09/2022 08:12

@HalWin2221 have a read of 'it starts with the egg' it's a good book that helps you tailor the supplements to your own needs, they do go a bit OTT so I just took the achievable bits from it 😊.
CD13 here, missed DTD last night and I've only bought one OPK to work with me today...I want to do it now but must refrain from POAS until a little later 🫣. I think I'm in for the 3 day straight from today...wish me luck 😂

bunnykins123 · 29/09/2022 08:24

@HalWin2221 walnuts and Brazil nuts are good but I just give DH a vitamin of selenium for that. He takes so much, poor lad. He's now on procieve max, vit c and d, zinc, coq 10 and selenium.

@mummatara that's fair enough! So a word of caution about using medichecks - I used them around May time. I've had bloods with GP in Feb, medichecks in May and NHS June. My medichecks blood tests all came back WAY higher than NHS so obviously that really worried me. It could have been totally accurate and I was having a really wobbly period hormonally (but everything was raised 🤔) but the following month all my tests were back to the same levels as they were in Feb. I did it with the finger prick thingy (god they are awful 😂) and was told they are not terribly accurate so if you do go with medichecks, do it at one of the clinics as I think you'll get a better reading! I'm cutting down to 1 coffee a day (I just can't cut it out entirely I don't think!) alcohol, sugar and gluten. I wonder about DH also 🤷‍♀️ I also didn't find any stainless steel pans last night 👎

@LuckyMoonstone if it's high up then it probably isn't related to the HCG. Are you getting bloods taken again today?

Luna57 · 29/09/2022 08:50

@LuckyMoonstone awk I’m sorry you’re feeling a bit low at the minute. Send lots of hugs!

@MrsCristianoX ive only ever had an indent on easy@home when it’s been in the bin hours and I’ve went back in to look like by mystery it’s gonna be a blazing positive 😂 are you 8dpo today? Some times you just need to early test to get it out of your system and then you can go about your day again. I’ve still my fingers crossed for you that we will be in the maternity unit at same time. Swapping real conversations over nice hospital grey tea 😂

Hi @HalWin2221 sorry you’ve had to find yourself here. It’s really a great place, most people who haven’t had a mc won’t understand the emotional rollercoaster that comes with it so vent away here.

I was in work all day yesterday with a girl that was positive for covid I know we can’t avoid it as there’s no isolation or anything anymore but now I’m worried about our chat on here about the link between mc in early pregnancy and covid 😭 I’m still struggling with the lack of symptoms even dh will say oh flip I forgot you were pregnant. I could go all day without eating and not feel sick at all which is very unheard of in every pregnancy I remember with ds I used to have to get up in the middle of the night to eat coco pops. Keep thinking I’m making this pregnancy up in my head and they will say next week there’s nothing in there. What us women have to go through!!!!

She went to work knowing she had Covid?? Wow, how massively selfish of her.

bunnykins123 · 29/09/2022 09:02

@Luna57 gosh. I can't believe she was in work! I mean, I know the guidance says you don't have to isolate but still! Could she have worked from home? If she's in again today, maybe speak to your boss about not feeling comfortable working around someone knowing they have covid.

Bouncingbeat · 29/09/2022 09:21

@Luna57 I kicked my father in law out of the house yesterday because I didn't think he was over what I think was covid but he swears he tested negative.

Line progression this morning i think. Gonna just ring the doc now cause I'm going crazy poas. Expensive habit. 😂

Luna57 · 29/09/2022 09:53

@TheBirdintheCave @bunnykins123 in my work because it’s just guidance and we can come in regardless if we’re positive as long as you’re well enough to operate (I’m cabin crew) then you come in. We get sick pay taken off us as well. I don’t blame her coming in she wasn’t ill she just said she’d still a faint positive test. We’ve all had a sicky season and a lot of us lost a lot of our paid sick days early on (sinus infections, perforated ear drums etc).

@Bouncingbeat is this a new pregnancy or for a mc?

Bouncingbeat · 29/09/2022 10:05

@Luna57 I tested positive on the 16th at 4w1d and had a bleed then for five days after, exactly like a normal period. Then positive on a digital on monday and 4 cheapies since yesterday. But that's the first I've seen progression on. Still could be residual hcg i just don't know anymore. Having a lot of pregnancy symptoms though. Booked in to see the nurse this afternoon so I'll see what she thinks.

bunnykins123 · 29/09/2022 10:10

@Luna57 that's fair enough. I guess if she has no symptoms and has faint tests then she's probably over the infectious stage anyway. I have huge respect for cabin crew 👏

@Bouncingbeat hmm tricky. It could be either at this stage. I would give it a few days and test again to see if it's any darker.

Wow firstly, what an amazing job! That must be so much fun :D

Secondly, that really sucks re the sick pay thing :( Surely your airline's priority should be not giving an entire plane full of people (including the rest of the cabin crew and pilots) Covid? I guess they're all still trying to recoup costs after lockdown and travel bans :/

MrsCristianoX · 29/09/2022 10:20

@Luna57 yea 8dpo today but at work to keep me out of trouble. Feel v ropey but v likely all in my head 🙄 xx

HalWin2221 · 29/09/2022 10:28

@Luna57 im a nurse & from her not being ill and her line only being faint it would be really unlikely she is contagious. So I think you should be fine but can completely understand why that would make you feel anxious! Which airline do you work for? What an amazing job! :)

@Bouncingbeat hope you’re okay and get some answers today!

lovenaps · 29/09/2022 10:46

I am toying with a thought of doing ovulation tests this month so that if I get pregnant (🙏) I could book an early scan knowing what the measurements should be at that stage. Still thinking. Today is CD9.
Really want October to be our month.. We are now at almost a year of TTC #1, been through two losses (missed m/c and CP) and I want to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Friends are popping out babies/becoming pregnant and I am really happy for them.
