@MamaSJ15 it's either have the awkward convo tonight (which is hard with DD) or say nothing and see what happens...Will be pull a condom out of thin air?

@Indianna2006 I could totally get behind private rooms and afternoon tea 😅

@LuckyMoonstone good luck with phone call xx

MamaSJ15 · 26/09/2022 13:58

@MrsCristianoX my plan is to say nothing I think and see what happens. Not a chance, we've never used them 😂 only thing he might do is pull out (sorry). But I'm hoping he's kind of had time to think about it all now. I'm not gonna mention anything about TTC or ovulation.

Indianna2006 · 26/09/2022 14:00

@MamaSJ15 welcome it’s hard. I do worry about money a bit but I think we’ll you can’t put a price on a baby can you. You manage whatever. And don’t think your going to regret having another child. But it is hard to weigh up sometimes. Once you have one child. A big bulk of cost is already there.
try to speak to him maybe. Or slip in some strategic dtd so you get the goods and speak to him after 🙈

@MamaSJ15 someone once told me when I fell unexpectedly pregnant with my DD that whatever is meant to be will work itself out. And she was absolutely right! Good luck tonight (try and do an OPK reading too🤞) xx

bunnykins123 · 26/09/2022 14:23

@LuckyMoonstone god I hope they don't fob you off. I really think you need to fight this one if they give you the whole 'it's normal' spiel. Until they are certain it's normal, then I would keep pushing.

@MamaSJ15 welcome to the group! Oh hun, I feel you're pain. It's hard when you're not sure if your partner is on the same page as you. I say talk to him, you've got nothing to loose. There is never a perfect time to have a baby.

Luna57 · 26/09/2022 14:31

@MamaSJ15 welcome! I don’t think it’s uncommon for the money worry to kick in. But you always make do. I went off with DS for 7 months on maternity allowance and not a pick of money behind me and you do get by. When I found out I was pregnant in July (ended up in MC) it was actually DH who reassured me we’d be ok because I was so worried about money. Just do the seduction tonight and see what happens, you’d always rather giving it a go than thinking what if.

mummatara · 26/09/2022 14:42

@MamaSJ15 welcome lovely 💕 it's so hard esp with the current financial market looking so bleak at the moment can make you understandably think omg but I do think it's possible to make do on what you get. I was amazed how I coped on a substantially lowered income. There are so many options for saving on any baby things you don't already have charity shops and Fb marketplace are goldmines sometimes! I would be inclined to just not mention any sort of TTC or ovulation and see if anything happens. You'll probably find he will be very excited if you get a BFP sometimes they can over analyse too much

mummatara · 26/09/2022 14:47

So I have posted a separate thread for this but I'm having a food for thought moment 😂 and obviously no way to prove anything but my brain is busy today 🙈 what are you're thoughts on covid and miscarriage? There's so much they still don't know about covid it makes me wonder

A bit of background at 8 months pregnant in early 2021 I developed covid. 2 days after I started to feel better after being very rough for 2.5 weeks I developed obstetric cholestasis which is linked to stillbirth. I was induced early and had a healthy boy. I asked the doctor if covid could have caused it but she denied the possibility though realistically at the time when there wasn’t even a jab who can say.

Fast forward to 2022 I have had my jabs and booster. I fell pregnant in March and at 5 weeks I caught covid for a second time. My symptoms were not as bad as the first time and I recovered after a week. I lost the baby at 10 weeks which was a MMC we found out at our 12 week scan. I had surgical management in June and got a positive pregnancy test in August. Again I caught covid at 4.5 weeks and again symptoms not too bad. We went for a scan at 9 weeks to discover another MMC this one a blighted ovum.

MrsCristianoX · 26/09/2022 14:57

@mummatara as a mother and pharmacist I am totally with you on this. And I probably shouldn't even be writing this. But I got my 2nd jab at 4 weeks pregnant exactly and lost it at 5.5 weeks, I've had covid twice and am almost certain it caused one of my chemical pregnancies.

This is my personal opinion btw not government advice so please take the vaccine if offered... it's just covid and my body do not react well together xx

RaliaMusca · 26/09/2022 15:02

Argh girls, I'm confused and hyper. I'm 10dpo (ish, didn't track but had promising cm). We dtd 4 times around O time. I started spotting very lightly today, much lighter than my usual period and it's not getting stronger so far. So I'm hoping it's implantation bleeding. I also did a cheapie (25mlu) just now and I swear I can see the shadow of a second line. Ran to my local shops but all FRERs are sold out. Ordered some on Amazon for tomorrow and bought a clear blue digital. The clearblue says not pregnant but I'm aware it's mega early for that one to pick up anything. Am I getting excited too early? This is only first cycle since my MMC, I haven't had a period yet but tested negative on the pregnancy test the clinic gave me two weeks after my mvu. I know only time will tell but aaah!

TTC after miscarriage Thread 11 🤞🏼✨
mummatara · 26/09/2022 15:03

@MrsCristianoX 😂 don't worry I know it's just opinions but I do think there is something in it. I don't react well with the vaccines either 🙄 bastard things make me ill for about 4 days. I know you can't live your life with a bunch of what ifs otherwise you would never do anything or go anywhere but next time I'm holing up in my house and never leaving 🤣 just kidding I will be a bit more cautious though

mummatara · 26/09/2022 15:06

@RaliaMusca ooooh I see it 🤞🏼 damn those shops running out of frers 🙄 don't they know as TTC mamas we need answers right away

MrsCristianoX · 26/09/2022 15:09

@mummatara I was kinda scared I'd be like that doctor that caused the MMR vaccine debacle 😂

I'm super cautious now. I won't take another vaccine whist ttc but I'm not vulnerable it's really only to do with my job that I need it x

bunnykins123 · 26/09/2022 15:11

@mummatara It's a tricky one. On the one hand, I question whether my miscarriages were linked to covid / the vaccine as they all happened during those times too. But what makes me think I'm barking up the wrong tree is all the women who have had successful pregnancies following vaccines / covid / getting covid whilst pregnant. I think your theory has some legs here though, but perhaps rather than being covid related, actually being immune related. For example I've just found out I have high NK cells so maybe for me it wasn't covid but an immune thing? Good for thought 🤷‍♀️

RaliaMusca · 26/09/2022 15:14

@mummatara right?! 😆 They should know what distress it causes to poor women like us.

My main worry I guess is that it's still leftover HCG from the MC. It's been four weeks exactly. Will have to be patient and test again in a few days I guess. And with the FRERs that Saint Amazon will bring tomorrow 😜

Man, I miss the good old days of positive pregnancy test equals pregnant 🤦‍♀️

MrsCristianoX · 26/09/2022 15:17

@bunnykins123 maybe..it is interesting though, my lower back was on fire with covid and the vaccine. Apart from pregnancy loss I had migraine with aura and a heart rate of 170..maybe yellow card noting. God I hope it goes soon 😢

MrsCristianoX · 26/09/2022 15:18

@bunnykins123 I actually miscarried locuming in another shop. It was truly awful.

mummatara · 26/09/2022 15:26

@MrsCristianoX haha oh god 🙈 can you imagine

@bunnykins123 yes totally get that it could be more of an immune system thing. It's hard isn't it because obviously lots of people do have healthy pregnancy's whilst having covid etc. so you def could be into it hurting your immune system rather than covid being the pregnancy ruining culprit. I really think it affects everyone so differently. I haven't rung bupa yet but if they say no to tests I might see about us paying for some private ones i just can't decide to see if no 3 is lucky or will I kick myself if I don't and no 3 is unlucky 🤷🏼‍♀️

bunnykins123 · 26/09/2022 15:31

@MrsCristianoX such a strange symptom. My arm ballooned up but other than that, I didn't get much of anything. With 1 of my miscarriages, I had a fever and awful headache the night before and then I miscarried the next day so defo similar.

@mummatara what tests are you thinking? Fertility tests or tests on the baby? I have bupa and I've gone through them for certain things, but they don't cover (for me at least!) fertility testing like immunology or hormones but I got my mri / hysteroscopy with them!

mummatara · 26/09/2022 15:32

@RaliaMusca did you test negative at any point after mc?

RaliaMusca · 26/09/2022 15:38

@mummatara I did but I I'm not sure how sensitive the test from the hospital is. I just have to wait and see.

mummatara · 26/09/2022 15:40

@bunnykins123 I'm thinking fertility rather than baby as almost certainly the blighted ovum is a chromosome issue (well from the bits I've read online anyway) and I presume they can't test much as it's just the sac 🤔
I'll have to ring and ask them what I'm covered for when I get 5 mins this week. Work use a private doctor so I should be able to get him to write a referral for me I should think

mummatara · 26/09/2022 15:42

@RaliaMusca well I'm keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏼 I don't think the hosp tests are very sensitive but they are probably about the same sensitivity as a IC 🤔 how long ago was your negative?

MrsCristianoX · 26/09/2022 15:49

@mummatara that's great if you can get referred through work xx perhaps surprisingly we have no private healthcare..it's just a case of does the boss feel sorry for you enough. Private companies 🤯 and that ends today's rant. Forgive me DH is away all week..maybe just scroll past my messages for the foreseeable 😂
