@TheBirdintheCave oh wowzers, give your DH a medal for that!! I didn't think 9 days in a row was physically possible 😂😂 you must be exhausted! Does doing it every day help with spermies?

@theblueflowers I agree with you regarding the internet. Some places say to do one thing and another says categorically not to do that.

@pangolin84 you're almost at @MrsCristiano 45 min record there!! I haven't read it but read the summaries online. Regarding homeware, they say to use chemical free products (ie detergent, cleaner, make up, body wash), not to touch receipts (I mean seriously howwww is that possible!) and not to use pans which have non-stick bottoms. I've dabbled but not completely thrown out my kitchenware. Did you test with CB on cd15 in the evening? I get a temp drop on peak day and always get a peak in the evening.

*one thing my consultant did say to me which I think is relevant is to not use products that have retinol in them. Lots of beauty product have them in nowadays as it makes your skin beauts!

Chellooo · 31/08/2022 08:32

Morning ladies, so AF arrived with an absolute vengeance this morning, so am officially out 😫

emhope · 31/08/2022 09:05

Hi again everyone, I haven’t been following the thread for a while. Hope everyone is good. @Chellooo sorry to hear AF has arrived for you.

Ive had a bit of a difficult time and hope you all don’t mind me venting on here…last week my ex husband (we were together 15 years and have 2 children) told me that his partner is pregnant, proceeded to tell me how much it was unplanned and not something he wanted but they couldn’t get rid of it and are just going to ‘go with it’. Hurtful comments when he knew about my miscarriage and he also knew I wanted more children (he’s told me numerous times that he didn’t want anymore since our split 4 years ago).
It’s completely broken me, life seems so unfair when my baby with my new partner was very much wanted and 4 months on and I’m still not pregnant 😢 I was also so looking forward to telling my children they would have another brother or sister (we were waiting until 12week to tell them) and now feel like he has also taken that away from me.
Sorry for the long rant, I know it will probably just take time to come to terms with it.
On another note I am now 5 dpo and we managed to DTD 6 days in row so keeping everything crossed for this cycle 🤞🏻

MrsCristiano · 31/08/2022 09:15

@emhope rant away..I'm sorry he's being an idiot. Good luck this cycle🤞

@Chellooo sorry about AF arriving 😢

I've been cramping since ovulation so I don't think this month is for me 5dpo today I think 🤷‍♀️

bunnykins123 · 31/08/2022 09:37

@emhope men can be so thoughtless at times. Try and keep faith that you will be telling your kids that they will be having another sibling from you and your partner 💕It's so easy to get caught up in 'perfect scenarios' (I know how hard this is though especially when you want something so much). Vent away on here though, it's a great outlet to saying things that are difficult in real life.

@Chellooo oh hun I'm sorry, AF arriving is utter poo bags. I'm on CD2 now so also feeling low. Onwards and upwards... hugs from me 💕

FfayeN · 31/08/2022 09:47

@emhope your feelings are totally legitimate. My DHs ex-wife thought she was pregnant (9yr old DSD found the negative test) and that was enough for me to have a breakdown so I can't imagine what you're going through. @bunnykins123 is right though, you will get your moment to share wonderful news some day 🥰.
@Chellooo sorry about AF.
I'm now CD 13 and it appears this month my O is being stubborn. Typically it will probably fall exactly when DH is away in the 36hr window we won't see each other 🤦🏼‍♀️.

We keep trudging on......

pangolin84 · 31/08/2022 09:59

Thanks @FfayeN @bunnykins123.
After getting a higher temp this morning Fertility Friend has changed its mind and now saying O was CD16, which makes more sense. So now 3dpo…

@emhope That sounds awful. Somehow life always has a way of rubbing salt in the wound. Vent away - that’s what we’re here for x

Astar21 · 31/08/2022 10:39

Hope everyone is doing okay as can be 💕

@Chellooo sorry to hear AF arrived. Stay positive for a new cycle.

@emhope so sorry to hear you're having a difficult time. It's completely understandable how you're feeling. I've heard numerous pregnancy announcements recently, all from those who weren't trying and is a complete shock. Life seems so unfair. But we have to stay hopeful our time will come.
I'm also 5DPO! When do you think you'll test? I'm going to try and hold out as long as possible this time as I can't take the disappointment of BFNs.

theblueflowers · 31/08/2022 11:47

@MrsCristiano I'm feeling similar- not quite cramping, but a feeling of pressure. Had this last cycle which was obviously a failure so not too hopeful now. 7dpo today.

LuckyMoonstone · 31/08/2022 11:55

Still bugger all going on today. Had my bloods done and results should be back on Monday 👍

Singingloudforalltohear · 31/08/2022 12:20

Hey ladies I've been following for weeks and just got my BFP yesterday at 11 DPO.

Had a missed miscarriage at end l of last year and a chemical 2 months ago so feeling so nervous about the days/weeks ahead. Any tips for relaxing?

MrsCristiano · 31/08/2022 12:54

@theblueflowers same. It's not AF cramps feels weird 🤷‍♀️

MrsCristiano · 31/08/2022 12:59

Also weird question but has anyone heard if prednisolone helps implantation. Not that I'm taking it or would, was reading fertility stories last night

TheBirdintheCave · 31/08/2022 12:59

Nope, most of us are still waiting for our BFPs.

FfayeN · 31/08/2022 13:33

@LuckyMoonstone glad you've got a nice quick turn around for your results, it must feel nice to be so close to getting some answers.
@MrsCristiano @theblueflowers hoping this is your month 🤞🏼, different is hopefully good!
@Singingloudforalltohear sorry to hear you're feeling anxious. Great news on your BFP though, there is a thread 'Navigating pregnancy after loss thread 4' there may be some helpful tips on there for you.

So my body has thrown out a major quick LH surge, so next two days of DTD 🤞🏼 to try and catch it! I POAS OPK obsessively but at least that's caught it 🤣🤣🤣

FfayeN · 31/08/2022 13:34

@MrsCristiano no, only heard of others taking that for NK Cells or auto immune diseases to suppress the immune system xx

FfayeN · 31/08/2022 13:40

@pangolin84 that does make sense! Glad it's figured it out, the TWW begins 🤞🏼 xx

LuckyMoonstone · 31/08/2022 13:52

@FfayeN yes I am weirdly looking forward to finding out what’s wrong with me 😂

Cindy974 · 31/08/2022 15:47

Hey everyone

Hope everyone is doing well! Just a quick question wondered if anyone has experienced the same.

So I had nine vials of blood taken today to be sent off to see if they can find out why I’m having recurrent miscarriages. One thing thats got me thinking is the remark the nurse made when taking my blood. She said my blood is really thick and clotting quickly. Has anyone had this before and it be a reason for miscarriages? Obviously I’m awaiting the results but just got me thinking in the meantime x

bunnykins123 · 31/08/2022 16:24

@Cindy974 sticky blood is defo a thing that causes miscarriages. They would have tested for that with the bloods you've just had. It's specifically called APS I think.

@LuckyMoonstone me too! I get my results after months of waiting next Tuesday!

@FfayeN wahooo! That's a great peak, better roll out the sexy undies tonight 😉

@theblueflowers @MrsCristiano I had cramps around 5-7 DPO when I was pregnant. I don't think it means anything (if anything, I'd say it's a good sign!)

@MrsCristiano yeh I know quite a bit about it. The bloods I get back next week are actually testing if I have high NK cells which is basically your immune system. The theory (it's not wildly believed by many professionals) is that if you have high NK cells, then your immune system is overactive and attacks the foetus resulting in miscarriage/implantation failure. Pred suppresses your immune system to support pregnancy. I've read quite a few women who took it from bfp and went on to have successful pregnancies. The issue is actually getting it as I'm not sure many places offer it without a blood test/reason to take it.

LuckyMoonstone · 31/08/2022 18:24

I did an easy@home test and a one step test in the same wee and got different results! 0.3 on the easy, but only 0.18 on the one step. Damn I wish I hadn’t just bought a new bag of one step tests 🤦‍♀️

FfayeN · 31/08/2022 18:58

@bunnykins123 no time for sexy undies! DH has been building all day, has football later and knows today is the day...I think I'm in for the long haul 🤣🤣🤣

@LuckyMoonstone that's so annoying! Always the way! However it could be that the easy@homes are better for your levels 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@Cindy974 what @bunnykins123 said, the RMU will test for this as part of their investigations, mine was tested 8 weeks ago along with all the other bits and still waiting for the results though x

MrsCristiano · 31/08/2022 19:01

@bunnykins123 did you have to go private for the blood test? I think if I asked for that there would be a few wtf looks 🙄 anyway im glad someone else has heard of it xx

MrsCristiano · 31/08/2022 19:30

@LuckyMoonstone one steps are so tiny I need a magnifying glass to see.. hope it's on the rise lovely xx

bunnykins123 · 31/08/2022 20:50

@MrsCristiano you can go private, they are quite steep in price though 😕 I was lucky as my NHS trust does test for them but from speaking to other ladies on here previously, that's not always been the same for them so you'd need to check if your trust includes them in reoccurring miscarriage blood panel. No harm in asking though!!

@FfayeN oh no! It's always on the nights you're most tired too. Hopefully you don't have to stay up too late waiting!
