@FfayeN good luck with that! I struggled and sacked it off - not tried again since. Felt like I was shoving a stone up there!

@Loz365 I suspect it's completely normal but anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, you should defo call the GP just to check 💕

@MrsCristiano what is it about these contraptions?! Going to try again next month. I feel like it's one of those that once you've got the 'knack' of it, it's really easy!

bunnykins123 · 29/08/2022 14:15

@LuckyMoonstone I'm frustrated for you! What cd day are you now? Did you hear anything from your GP regarding blood results? Sorry if this has been discussed before, I took a MN break and just catching up!

LuckyMoonstone · 29/08/2022 14:25

@bunnykins123 CD21 now! My blood test is this Wednesday so I’ve still got to do it and wait however long for results until I know if there’s any issues found, I hope they do it quickly

bunnykins123 · 29/08/2022 14:29

@FfayeN if your figure it out, please do let me know as I had no luck. Maybe boiling it softens it up a bit? I so so want to use it next cycle. How you feeling this cycle?

bunnykins123 · 29/08/2022 14:31

@LuckyMoonstone with my GP ones, I got them back (online) in like 2 days so fingers crossed yours will be a quick. What's your usual O day?

LuckyMoonstone · 29/08/2022 14:51

@bunnykins123 I don’t have a usual O day, it’s all over the place every month, hence the blood tests 😭

FfayeN · 29/08/2022 15:05

@bunnykins123 I will do! It's really quite flexible already so maybe it is slightly different to the cheaper ones. I figured I'd spend the money given where it's going and how often 😂. I feel ok. OPKs are still low but CM is going in the right direction: there is nothing stopping us timing this month right (apart from DH being away for one night) so I'm really hoping it'll work out 🤞🏼.
I get my results really quick too online, so hopefully you won't be waiting long at all @LuckyMoonstone xx

Loz365 · 29/08/2022 16:23

@LuckyMoonstone oh no! Sorry you're still waiting 😞 hopefully the blood tests reveal something and you hear back quickly. Do you have any other issues like pcos that could be causing the long cycles? Or has it all been after your MC?

MrsCristiano · 29/08/2022 16:34

I have so much to do today but yet still found the time to POAS at 3dpo. Like why?? This must be some kind of stupidity record 😅

LuckyMoonstone · 29/08/2022 16:47

@Loz365 yeah it’s only been since MC but I have always suspected I might have thyroid issues so maybe the MC has made it worse? I’m having loads of ewcm, I just can’t get a positive OPK!

theblueflowers · 29/08/2022 16:52

Ack @LuckyMoonstone that is so frustrating for you. Hopefully you have a quick peak very soon!

Had a great bank holiday full of friends with their babies but actually managed okay. It was seeing my DH so hands on and just loving helping out with the babies that made me 😭

I am so knackered, but think that's because I've been sleeping in a different bed the last few nights and have struggled to get to sleep. 5dpo today and it's going to start consuming my thoughts!

FfayeN · 29/08/2022 16:57

@LuckyMoonstone it is frustrating and quite right you could not be having a peak. You temp don't you? Is that showing ovulation? My best friend got pregnant in a cycle with no peak on OPKs and it's not unheard of: it could be such a quick rise you just can't catch it so don't be too disheartened unless you're sure you're having anovulatory cycles.

@MrsCristiano I do it too.....just incase. You know, just incase Mother Nature has completely changed how we get pregnant 😂😂😂.

@theblueflowers well done for keeping as positive as possible, plus you're now almost halfway through the TWW 🥰

MrsCristiano · 29/08/2022 17:26

@FfayeN I nearly didn't write this. I deleted it a few times🙈 but then thought f**k it no holds barred here you've heard worse from me 😂

@LuckyMoonstone that's just hateful. I was 4 days later than usual and was having a meltdown 🥲

bunnykins123 · 29/08/2022 18:04

@LuckyMoonstone I completely agree, it sounds like something hormonal is impacting it. Fingers crossed the bloods will give more answers!

@FfayeN I think that might be it. It would make sense that the more expensive ones are softer to push 'up there' than the cheaper ones 😂 oh I love those months when you have no obstacles! I knew my last cycle was a dud one due to things out of my control booo 🙄

@MrsCristiano that's impressive! What would you actually do though if you saw a line?! I think I would literally doubt life if I got a line at 3dpo 😂

@theblueflowers glad you had a great BH! New beds always make me feel like a zombie too 🧟‍♀️

MrsCristiano · 29/08/2022 18:31

@bunnykins123 impressive or crazy😂 defo would've doubted it but it was a cheapie one lol but it was a white as snow..going to Barcelona soon so super excited!

AwayWeGoAgain · 29/08/2022 19:13

Hi guys! Just catching up and had to Google what a fertilily is as I’d never heard of it! Hope it works for you @FfayeN!

So sorry you’re opks are playing silly buggers @LuckyMoonstone, fingers crossed the blood tests will shed some light 🤞

Well done @theblueflowers, it can be so hard to be around friends with babies but it will be your turn soon enough!

@MrsCristiano so glad you shared that! I thought it was just me being totally addicted to poas even when you know it’s 100% too early for a bfp 🤣 oooh have a fab time in Barcelona! We went there for our last holiday pre-covid and loved it!!!

Also hi to everyone else 👋 especially newbies and anyone reading but not yet joining in! Xx

LuckyMoonstone · 29/08/2022 19:14

@FfayeN I always get one eventually so I do ovulate it just takes so long, and a different amount of time each cycle. Temp hasn’t done my usual pre-ovulation dip yet (which again always happens eventually) so I don’t think I’ve missed it. I am literally pouring with ewcm though 🤣 @MrsCristiano I know my body hates me so much, it’s punishing me for letting it get fat again 😂

FfayeN · 29/08/2022 19:20

@LuckyMoonstone at least you are getting there but infuriating it's taking so long. I feel really hopeful your results will give some answers 😘 xx

bunnykins123 · 29/08/2022 19:32

@LuckyMoonstone I'm the same. My OPKs are pretty much blank but I get so much EWCM. Which tests are you using? I bought so easy@home and tested yesterday (AF due any second now but wanted to give them a whirl) and I already have lines compared to my blank cheapie ones!

@MrsCristiano impressively crazy! Ahhh that'll be nice, enjoy Barca! 🍷

LuckyMoonstone · 29/08/2022 19:37

@bunnykins123 they are called One Step. I’ve always used them, I did consider getting the Premom ones to match the app I use in case they were better with them being a ‘bigger’ brand but I didn’t in the end

MrsCristiano · 29/08/2022 19:38

@bunnykins123 @LuckyMoonstone I actually hate my EWCM and then the next morning if you DTD eugh 🤢

Well heading next Monday but I packed today..super prepared. 🤗

Indianna2006 · 29/08/2022 19:47

@FfayeN good luck with the fertilily! I am certain it is the only reason I’ve fallen pregnant quickly this time. I fell pregnant 3 out of 5 cycles using it. And had done 10 failed prior to that.
i think my cervix is quite deep. And my uterus tilted. So I think the sperm had a hard time swimming through and it pushed it all in the right direction where my fertile CM was. I’m certain of it lol

I think it’s bit easier to get if you’ve given birth compared to not. But it is pretty flexible and after dtd with sperm etc in there it should be relatively easy. Just push it as deep as you can push it and then like try support it and you pop it back from inside out. The after it was in. I’d scoot my bum up the wall to try get it as deep as it would go.

@bunnykins123 I reckon the cheaper ones are def don’t be same. I found the fertilily really flexible. I didn’t even know it was in at all 🤷🏻‍♀️ Found it pretty easy x

FfayeN · 29/08/2022 20:12

I've always used easy@home OPKs and have had no issues other than the odd dodgy test.
Got DH to DTD nice and early tonight as I am up at 4am tomorrow, fertiliy in and it was super easy!! Highly recommend if you've had trouble with imitation ones. I've managed to push it in as far as poss, but haven't tried the bum scoot...I'll give that a go next time 🤣🤣🤣

bunnykins123 · 29/08/2022 20:52

@LuckyMoonstone those are the cheapies I use. I get absolutely no warning of a surge - I go from 0-100 in the space of an afternoon. Would it be worth to try the easy@home ones to see if they give you better lines?

@MrsCristiano yep properly grim but I always see it as a good sign! Omg I'm a pack the night before kinda gal 😂

@Indianna2006 right I'm off to give it a try now 😂 seems like I'm either doing it wrong or my other device is just too clunky. Problem is, I can never even feel my cervix so I wonder if it's really high up anyway. Is that even a thing?! 🫣

@FfayeN that's so good to know! Looks like it's just me having trouble with it 😂

FfayeN · 29/08/2022 21:04

@bunnykins123 @Indianna2006 I can never feel mine either, I just assumed it was high or my fingers are too short (TMI?!) 😂. Or maybe I'm just not flexible enough!!
