Hey ladies I have been brave and started new thread.
Aquababe will not have to look at her thread opener again.

Hi CeCe, it's so hard not to go on the internet googling symptoms isn't it, I know when there was the first hint we might have miscarried I was reading all this stuff and getting in a right state. You just can't help it, natural nosiness of women I think
Let's hope it's not endometrosis and think warm fluffy thoughts! Glad you had a good weekend.

Have to say this acupuncture sounds really interesting and like bunny says if it only relaxes you it's something, might get some info (off the t'internet of course!!!) and look into it. Got my OPK's in the post last night so going to start testing in the next few days, wish me luck x

mistlethrush · 20/02/2008 12:36

MMm - I'd suggest that you're just careful about who you go to - ideally one with some experience of these things so that they can ensure that, even if they're not doing anything that will help bfp and bean, they are not doing anything that could hinder it - I swapped to accupuncture from chineese herbs as soon as I got bfp - and it was certainly really helpful in terms of calming nerves during the early stages, as well as dealing with some other issues later on.

MollieMooma · 20/02/2008 13:02

Thanks I think I'll check with my SIL she is training to be a nutritionalist and homeopath (think that's how you spell it!) she maybe able to point me in the right direction

mistlethrush · 20/02/2008 15:55

Sounds interesting.

The only brush I had with nutritionist was being advised to ring them up when pregnant as lactose intolerant for advise, to be told off for bothering them as they were busy, and told that as I hadn't been officially 'diagnosed' and could eat cheese and yoghurt but not milk, I couldn't be lactose intolerant (and was therefore, by inference a thoughtless, stupid person). It only took a quick search on the internet to confirm that there are two types of lactose intolerance - intolerance to everything, or intolerance to straight milk but OK on otherthings... Got no help from them anyway. I hope that your SIL is more helpful!

MollieMooma · 20/02/2008 16:34

Oh my Mistle that wasn't a very good service! Well I'm seeing her tonight so I'll test her out see if she comes up to scratch!

cricri · 20/02/2008 17:30

Mollie I'm sure you'll find what your SIL has to say very interesting. I'm also seeing a homeopath at the moment and have found it extremely useful with ttc and mc. I've been seeing her for a number of years now and I've always found it helpful. She uses the Bach flowers remedies in addition to the usual homeopathic remedies. I hope you get some useful advice anyway.

kate2179 · 20/02/2008 18:58

Evening all. Just posted a long rant-y type message on knicker checkers as had a couple of red wipes this afternoon [terrified emoticon]
I'm hoping it has to do with my varying progesterone levels from fiddling with my cyclogest doseage... more on knicker checkers if you're interested...
[PLEASE LET IT ALL BE OK...]
Still feeling very determined that it will be fine, but my mood seems to very from moment to moment sometimes...

Mistlethrush at the nutritionist you spoke to! Really interested to hear you took chinese herbs during your pg. Was that when you had your DS? The accupuncturist I see also works with chinese herbs and have been taking a revolting concoction he prescribed, in between worrying whether it cold do any harm... but he assures me that a) it won't and b) he's prescribe it to his wife/daughter in the same situation. So I guess that's good enough. Strangely for me I have managed to resist the temptation to google the ingredients!

Cece hoping your appointment comes round very quickly so you can stop worrying. I don't know much about endometriosis (sp?) but I can't imagine it would just suddenly start if you've never had it before would it? (((hugs))) to you xxx

cece · 20/02/2008 19:28

oh Kate - hope all is well now.

It seems from what I have googled that endometrosis can start after pregnancy (so therefore I assume a miscarriage would count?). These pains started since my miscarriage in Dec.

ronshar · 20/02/2008 21:11

Evening everyone.

Cece, I remember from January that you were told you may have retained products (sorry horrible term). Did you get scan to confirm they were there or that the antibiotics had worked. I would get on to your doctor and ask for a scan to have a look at your uterus and make sure it is all back where it should be. Good luck love.

I am 7+2 and the worry gets worse not better. I have a scan booked for monday and I am terrified.

mistlethrush · 20/02/2008 21:27

Kate - I was on the herbs prior to bfp and swapped to accupuncture afterwards - you might want to see if you practitioner does accupuncture as I found it really good for stress - and, although I can easily imagine how stressed this is all making you feel at the moment, probably not ideal for your body and bean, so anything that helps good. I went for the herbs as I needed to cleanse my system - or at least have a good go at that, prior to bfp - and anything that helped to get bfp was a positive (took 6 yrs for ds to arrive). For a herbal appointment, I would get a 30mins appointment, and for accupuncture 45 (although I sometimes go to sleep and its a bit longer...) - lots of pulse taking! On Tuesday I went and she found my pulse easily on the LHS, but it was very poor on the right - very peculiar.

Cece - not long until Tuesday - don't cross any bridges, try not to google any more (I know its difficult), fingers crossed that there is an OK explanation, or that you can at least get a speedy diagnosis of whatever's up.

MollieMooma · 21/02/2008 11:48

Oh Kate if it's not one worry it's another, mother nature is so cruel. I am sure everything will be fine, but it doesn't matter what any of us say, you are bound to be worried/scared/terrified/paranoid it's only natural! Sticky thoughts and sticky buns to you hun and a sprinkling of positivity!

MollieMooma · 21/02/2008 11:51

Also meant to say good luck ronshar with your scan tomorrow, I'm sure that you will see your little bean waving back to you x

bunnyinheadlights · 21/02/2008 15:44

oh dear kate it really s*cks to have to work away for a whole week at the time when all you really need right now is a week in bed with a big pile of your fave mags and all your fave food around you. hope you are feeling less stressed and keep thinking positive - remember you saw healthy bean with HB AND Right Size for Dates. that means a lot. sticky thoughts to you anyway!

good luck for your scan ronshar hope you see your bean. wow 7 weeks already!

cece googling is bad - i've given myself my fair share of scares in the past this way. hope you get an answer on tuesday. x

moillie are you feeling better now that AF has come and gone?

MollieMooma · 21/02/2008 16:10

kate2179 · 21/02/2008 17:54

Thanks for all the positive messages ladies, no more bleeding so far thank goodness... still scared to go to the loo Am ok working, just a shame it's so far from home. It's not very stressful thank goodness so at least it passes the time, and hopefully will pay for some maternity leave in a few months (am self employed)

cece & mollie don't think Ronshar's scan is til monday

cece · 21/02/2008 18:00

whoops you are right it is Monday sorry! not sure why I thought it was today...

ronshar · 22/02/2008 14:21

Thanks anyway girls. I am being quietly terrorised by the thought I may be having twins as I feel dreadful and have never had anything like this with previous pregnancies.
Dont worry I shall be straight on here on
Monday morning to let you know the news. (Fingers crossed it is just the one).

I hope everyone is all ok here. I have been sending as many positive baby thoughts in your direction as I can while trying to drag my butt around the place.
The worse thing is I cant eat cake or biscuits or ice-cream or anything nice argggggggggggg. Not that I am not grateful mind you. I can still smile and give thanks at the end of each day.

Emmsy1 · 22/02/2008 17:52

ronshar I have never tested positive this early before and the sickness has started early, I am also thinking I may have twins this time! I would be thrilled to bits if I did, but just one live one will be brilliant! fingers crossed for your scan on monday.x

BabyFever · 24/02/2008 10:24

Just wanted to say that the acupuncture must being having some effect as I am 5 weeks pregnant!

M/c began on 18 Jan, all over by a week later with a bfn and then 3 weeks after that a bfp!

Obviously excited, but nervous too. Not so much as I thought I would be actually, am a great believer in the power of positive thought and I am just past the point where it went wrong last time, so feeling a little happier now.

Here's to a sticky bean

cricri · 24/02/2008 11:36

Congratulations Babyfever! Here's to a sticky bean for you.

MollieMooma · 24/02/2008 19:16

Babyfever - congratulations, really pleased for you, sending out sticky thoughts to go with your positive ones

Emmsy1 · 24/02/2008 19:58

Babyfever well done! hope this is the stickiest bean ever!

cece · 25/02/2008 20:32

MollieMooma · 26/02/2008 12:28
