Thanks fruitloop. I sincerely hope that I do rejoin you (with good news!) Part of the reason for leaving though is that we've just found out that conceiving again is going to be nigh on impossible (even though we did in Dec 07) It seems it was a one in a million chance! Meanwhile - I just can't put myself through the monthly trauma so I'm going to try and forget about no4 and just get on with life.xxx

Can I gatecrash this thread and ask some experts a question?

I have CM today, started yesterday, and today it was tinged with pink/brown. Is this normal or is something wrong? I have never noticed this before. So was wondering if anyone else has it?

I had a late mc in mid Dec and I have had one AF since then, plus an infection. Although I have taken ABs so that should be cleared up by now.

I am just worried that the infection is still there...

cluckyagain · 31/01/2008 17:41

NOAM - no def don't want to leave but have just had test results back today - dh sperm count is still neg (after a vasectomy 3 yrs ago, then a bfp in Dec 07 at which we were shocked but delighted, then found out cp in Jan 08 and were heartbroken) I had thought that it must have reversed itself and therefore we could conceive again, but it's not and dh really doesn't want to have it reversed (I can't blame him and don't want to stir up marital trouble by 'insisting'!) I will keep at it so that will keep both of us happy!!! Hope to see you soon lolxx

JollyBear · 31/01/2008 17:41

MTW No those details are correct, I am on CD51!!! A very late ov for me this month

Have to dash off.... hello to everyone!!

Hi all,

Just updating the list because I lost a few days somewhere. It's DP bday Sunday and party is Saturday so not sure whether to test before party (don't want to drink if I am..) but it also might be too early to detect because my cycle is up to 34 days. . I kinda like having all the imaginary symptoms before the BFN!! What do you think I should do? Anyone else testing over the next few days? X

MrsEi I'm glad to hear the back support is doing you the world of good.

Fruitloop 4 sleeps until your scan it's almost like waiting for Christmas Hope you got on ok with your friend today. Also whilst you support her you can be honest about how you feel too, in a nice way .

Clucky Sorry I missed your departing before. It sounds like a very difficult position to be in, I hope nature finds away if that's what you want.

NOAM Any news from SIL? Are you ok?

Jollybear Oh I'm so sorry my memory must be playing tricks on me. How frustrating for you lets hope a BFP makes it all worth waiting for this month.

cece Sorry I don't know what to say. If you are mid cycle could it be implantation bleed or if you are nearer the end could it be TEW is on her way? What CD are you?

07mumstheword · 31/01/2008 19:42

clouise You could test early on Sat just to see? I know it may be early but you never know I'm due AF next week so I am white knuckling it at the moment. Don't feel at all PG but can't resist peeing on sticks in the hope that I am.

clouisewood · 31/01/2008 19:49

LOL!! It's such a mind game. It's so exciting when you take the test out of the packet. I've always wondered whether the result shows straight away or whether it takes a while..with my first pg I didn't watch to see it change.
When I get the BFN I stil convince myself that it might be too early.
DP doesn't want me to test yet...don't think he wants the attention taken away from his bday lol and I think he also wants me to enjoy (get drunk more like...) during our first baby night free in more than 6 months.
When are you going to test?

07mumstheword · 31/01/2008 19:57

clouise Ssssh don't tell jollybear as we are trying to help each other be strong & stay away from those darn tests but I don't think I'll see the end of the weekend without at least one test. If I get a BFN I will just convince myself it is too early.....it's the same every month.

MrsEi25 · 31/01/2008 20:00

clucky sorry i missed your post and sorry to see you go. i hope things happen for you and the tests were wrong (they were for ian on eastenders like)

cece i agree with what MTW has said that it could be implantation. are you due to test soon?? and you arent gatecrashing in any way all welcome here

xx ei xx

cece · 31/01/2008 20:55

Hi there,

I have not been able to ttc this month, so no chance of pg (the ab s I had are not good for ttc or pregnancy) so having a month off. Hence no chance of being pg.

I am on CD 17 of a 33 day cycle. So bang on for ovulation. Just never noticed any pink/brown tinge to my CM before. I wondered if it was due to my infection which came to the fore on CD 2, or the mc the previous month.

cece am pretty sure I've read somewhere that fertile mucous can have a pink-ish tinge for some women. Fingers crossed for you that your infection has cleared up and that you body is making a good recovery. Is your doc going to allow you to start ttc again next month? (cos I know you always do as you're told! )

Things pretty rubbish here ladies. Had the mc confirmed by the doc today as hormone levels have fallen but I have to go to the hosp for a scan on tuesday... Total waste of time, REALLY don't want to. But don't want to just wait to mc at home either (no bleeding so far, touch wood...) so I guess I'll just have to put up with it. Am just worried how long they'll make me wait...

From my (mainly MN based) research it sounds like the recurrent mc clinic at St Mary's in Paddington is THE place to be. Heard really good things about a consultant there called Raj Rai so have booked a private app with him there on 12th June (gulp at price...) Spoke to GP about it today, she said my local hosp won't even consider looking at me after 2 mc () but I don't have a lot of faith in them anyway. She said to come back in May and she'll refer me elsewhere if I want, to try to save me money! Very sweet of her, and I suspect quite unusual! She also said she thinks I'll be pg again by then but not sure how I feel about going through it all again at the mo. Am convinced that the same thing would happen again as my 2 mc's have both been so incredibly similar. Will have to see how I feel when the dust settles. xx

JollyBear · 01/02/2008 10:21

kate2179 I'm so sorry that your mc has been confirmed. It sounds like you are going to see the best consultant which is good. It isn't surprising that you are uncertain about TTC again. I hope you take care of yourself and you reach a decison that is best for you and DH.

cece Sorry to hear about your mc. I've read that some women do get pink-tinged CM at ov time but I had just what you described this month but not during ov. I'm having a really long cycle so things might be a bit mixed up with me. Perhaps your infection has mixed you up a bit?

Naughty MTW! step away from those tests!

Kate I am so sorry to hear mc has been confirmed. It is an absolute outrage that you are expected to go through this heartache 3 times before the NHS will investigate - I am really that my former cycle buddy has been so badly treated grrr... It is a pity you have to wait until June to see the private doc (but then I guess he must be good if he is so booked up, so maybe a good sign !). I suppose it gives you time to save up a bit. It must be really difficult deciding whether to continue to ttc with the fear of a third mmc - with 2 identical mmcs there is a definite pattern and clearly an issue to be resolved. It is a shame you are having to fork out to get to the bottom of the issue but you know you're in the best hands and they will be quick and efficient. And given the NHS are so rubbish that they just leave you for days at a time in limbo then once mc is confimred they leave you 5 days before they even do a scan (just typed scam and that is possibly just as appropriate) - they are probably waiting to see if nature kicks in and you specifically said you don't want that as it'd be too emotionally painful, they really need to be more sensitive to emotional wellbeing as well as physical. grrrr getting very annoyed at NHS and their penny-pinching crapness. I actually watched "Portland babies" when off sick the other day and was wondering about going private as the hospitals look so much cleaner - I have an irrational fear of hospitals, they actually make me feel sick , not sure dp will be up for parting with the money though so I'd better get used to the NHS way (assuming I get a BFP).
{{{{Big Hugs}}}} and don't leave us . Emmsy and I still need our CB (once a cycle buddy always a cycle buddy)

MrsEi25 · 01/02/2008 12:32

hi ladies
kate im so sorry that you have had your MMC confirmed its good that you are able to see someone to get this investigated my friend had 4 MCs before the GP would refer her so it is just as poo all over the country!! its just a shame that you have to go private but TBH you will get much better cared for that way i hope they get to the bottom of it or you get your sticky BFP before you need to shell out {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}
how is everyone else??
