Oooh, my first big thread

May I begin by saying I wish you all the bestest of luck!

Ok, shall I attempt to update the list?

Thanks girls for all your support, your all so full of good advice I think I am definately going to stay on the AD's for a little while, hopefully no longer than 2 months I am already starting to feel a little calmer with them. I was on different AD's and beta-blockers many years ago, I have had bad nerves before (sounds better than 'mental health' problems) I was in a terrible state then. There is only a slight comparison this time, I don't have time to get too ill,not with my tribe!
I am not going to take the mini pill though, even if I wasn't TTC I think I know enough now about temps, opk's,cm etc...
My DH wasn't very happy when I told him that prozac decreases your libido, apart from when it's my fertile period, I never want sex any way

Emmsy1 · 29/01/2008 14:04

I also meant to ask if any one knows if an eye infection, can spread to your glands in your neck. My left side of my neck has swollen and is a little sore, it's on the same side as my infected eye? will the antibiotic eyedrops make the gland better? don't worry if no one knows, I will try and google it!

07mumstheword · 29/01/2008 14:07

So glad you are feeling a bit better today. I've no idea about eyes and glands

MrsEi25 · 29/01/2008 17:30

emmsy yes it is possible for your glands to be inflamed(sp?) due to an eye infection as your glands are the drainage system for your body and will drain away any excess fluid that would build up due to inflammation and infection. drink plenty of fluid to enable better fluid drainage and use your eye drops until the course is finished and then review it again. you should notice a difference within 2-3 days though (im nearly finished training to be a nurse so i have read about/ worked around these kind of problems iyswim) hope you get better soon hun xx

Emmsy1 · 29/01/2008 18:53

Thanks MTW07 and MrsEi25 I think you will make a lovely nurse MrsE ever thought of becomming a doctor?

MrsEi25 · 29/01/2008 20:52

Hey ei well I'm off to sweep DP off his feet in a mo. Just thought I'd pop my head around the door to say hi

I've broken out in loads of spots (on my face).
I'm hoping this is a sure sign of ovulation!!! It must be a symptom, it's all hormones innit??!!

OP posts:
sambrads · 30/01/2008 07:45

hi ya fruitloop

how are you today??
i broke out in loads of spots this month so hopefully it has something to do with ovulation well its definately to do with hormones

i phoned my cousin last night she was the oly person i told that i was taking clomid and told her i was pregnant .then she said she was pregnant and 5 weeks as well!!
cant believe it you could never have planned that .
although she has a dd 8 months and has not had a period since she had her as she breastfed how lucky is she

MrsBish · 30/01/2008 08:12

That's great news about your cousin Sam.

My SIL and I were due out first children at the same sort of time and it was lovely to go through it all with her.

clouisewood · 30/01/2008 09:33

That's great news Sam. It's lovely having another pregnant lady to go through it all with.
I have 4 spots and I never ever gets spots. One looks like a second nose!! Do you think it's the weather?
Has anyone else lost a few days on the update? I think i've lost 4...

Just popping in to say emmsy I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. I don't know about AD's and ttc but I can ask my doctor friend for you if you like? Have you looked into any alternative therapies? It can be expensive but IMO definitaly worthwhile. I started seeing a homeopath last year and I found talking to her about things helped enormously. Don't know where you are but I think she does telephone appts if you're interested. Really really hope you get the help you need, whatever form it may take.

Looks like I'll be back here shorly ladies . Another mmc on the cards, just waiting to have it confirmed. Just can't believe it has happened again

Spink · 30/01/2008 10:12

ok, an HPT question for you..
I had some spotting last week, then nothing. Have been feeling a bit weird.. AF is due tomorrow or Fri. Tested yesterday (I know, too early but couldn't help mylsef ) BFN... well, then about an hour later there was a very faint (but pinky) line. Is this just evaporation? I thought evap lines were colourless??
I am very confused - what do you reckon? There are two HPTs in the house but I have banned myself from testing again til tomorrow morn when AF is supposed to be here (I've got a 28 or 29 day cycle)
Help!

kate2179 · 30/01/2008 10:18

Spink could be bfp, but could also be evap line IMO. Advice would be a) ideally wait til friday or b) if that sounds impossible go and get yourself a clear blue digital, no chance of evap lines there! They are expensive but sometimes these things just have to be done! Good luck!

Spink · 30/01/2008 10:21

thanks for your advice, Kate, and I'm really sorry to hear about the mmc. How are you doing?

sambrads · 30/01/2008 10:32

hi ya spink i would get a clearblue test they are the best and you will know for sure

kate are yu ok???
i am so so sorry to hear about your mmc it must be so hard for you

kate2179 · 30/01/2008 10:43

thanks sambrads and spink. Doing pretty rubbish but hey ho. What can you do? If my GP won't refer me this time we're just going to have to find a way to pay for a private referral. I know they say not to until 3 in a row but this one is EXACTLY the same as what happened last time, so bollocks to that!

Kate I'm so sorry to hear that this has happened to you again. Emmsy mentioned that you were having a tough time last week so I've been following your progress on the MC avengers thread. I had everything crossed for you former CB . I hope you get the conclusive result one way or anohter tonight (obviously I know the preferred option) but I suspect you just want to be out of limbo land.
It is good to hear that you are so upbeat today and full of determination to get this problem sorted but feel free to vent any time as I'm sure this is all very difficult for you. Naturally we'll welcome you back here with open arms, but ideally we'd rather not have you back iyswim...

Oops, forgot. DD was on my lap distracting me. So sorry for your news kate2179

Nothing to report here, not even any EWCM yet so haven't BD yet. DH saying he is too tired and not in mood ah well, will just have to pounce soon
Though, have to say I am not holding out much hope for this month. Reckon it is the urine infection, which still hasn't completely gone 5 days now
Do you think something like that could stop being able to concieve? I feel like it will but maybe I am just feeling a litle blue about it all. 7 months and feeling sorry for myself, I guess.
Also I am not going to try in March or April so only have 2 more tries before it will be nearly 2 and a half years between LO's and I really just wanted the 2 years

Moan moan moan
