Oooh, my first big thread

May I begin by saying I wish you all the bestest of luck!

Ok, shall I attempt to update the list?

fruitloop EWCM should be much more stretchy than your DP's contribution. I get confused too but your man's boys should break more easily when you pull it apart.

If your temp hasn't risen then FF keeps telling you that you might be fertile just in case. FF is telling me I am fertile when I'm pretty sure I'm not. It has to have four days of temp rises to decide you've ov, otherwise you might miss the egg.

It is really hard on a long cycle to keep up the BD'ing, well I think so .

MummyAnnabella · 21/01/2008 13:58

hi can i join in? i am TTC no 2 and am on cd27 of 1st month of TTC this time round.

took 15 cycles last time and had all but given up when i got pg. ds is only 6 months tom but i dont want to waste time in case it takes forever again!!

good luck everyone!

p.s dressed up and nowhere to go - we are in same boat by a look at the list - just started trying for no2 and nearly on same cd.

fruitloop79 · 21/01/2008 13:59

I haven't been temping as DP doesn't want me obsessing and he'd hear the temp beep so I cant even do it surrepticiously

It was very stretchy but I think DP's contribution is also v stretchy. I only ever get it the day after BDing so it must be DP's.

I'm just getting impatient cos I'm on CD29 (I think - without checking) and just wanna see the damned stuff as everyone else seems to get it! - how sad am I to be jealous of everyone else's CM!
I'm sure it'll arrive when I OV I just have no idea when I will (OMG I sound like a broken record - please ignore me! )

ClairePO · 21/01/2008 14:12

Temping is quite useful I find as it confirms you have ov'd.

Can't you get DP some earmuffs?

I remember a few months ago on here that someone asked how to tell between EWCM and sperm and someone suggested tasting it (tongue in cheek of course). I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself, I told DP and he still asks me if I tasted it to check when I get EWCM.

Emmsy1 · 21/01/2008 14:12

fruitloop digitalgirl picture on EWCM was spot on, EWCM can be stretched much longer than the picture showed. If you crack an egg open and have a good look at the egg white, it really does look very much like that, my fella's little soldiers looks nothing like egg white, more like sloppy semolina or baby powder mixed with a little milk! definately tmi, feel quite sick now... as for the cervical position, I agree with you there, I couldn't tell the difference, so I don't go there any more!

JollyBear · 21/01/2008 14:17

fruitloop It is frustrating not to be able to temp. Mine beeps, but if you turn it off straightaway, the temp is stored for when you next switch it on. It might only beep once or twice. Is he a light sleeper? That sounds a bit cloak and dagger perhaps?!

Not everyone gets EWCM, some people just get wet stuff which is fertile too.

claire LOL at the idea of tasting it!!

Welcome mummyannabella

MrsEi25 · 21/01/2008 14:28

hi to mummyannabella and welcome
claire lol at idea of tasting the...erm...secretions...[eww] i dont even want to tase DHs in any circumstance so i think that idea would be a huge no no for me[bleurgh]
xx ei xx

fruitloop79 · 21/01/2008 15:54

Thanks emmsy but whatever it is it's definately egg whitey. Clear and stretchy but again I only ever get it the day after Bding (everytime!) so I just assume its DP's. However, it doesn't have that spermy smell though. It doesn't smell of anything.
Maybe my body goes into fertile mode as soon as we've BD'd. That wouldnt be right would it?

OP posts:
MummyAnnabella · 21/01/2008 15:54

not sure re cycle length yet as this is only 2nd cycle since ds born as was b'f and i wasnt sure if 1st af was going to be a one off but it seems now back to normal. used to be 31 days approx.

think i have joined this thread at interesting time or do you always talk about sperm tasting??!!

ClairePO · 21/01/2008 16:04

Not always MummyAnnabella, which is a bit of a relief really. At 31 days you haven't got long until testing, fingers crossed

Fruitloop I suppose its possible that vigourous activity and ermmmm your subsequent enjoyment may result in your ewcm being expelled iyswim LOL

MrsEi25 · 21/01/2008 16:45

fruitloop someone on here a little while ago (might have been MTW but i cant remember) said that EWCM can sometimes be found high up in your flue so it seems as if it isnt present but it just hasnt made it all the way down to your knickers maybe this is the case for you as your DH may be dislodging it in the flurry of activity if that makes any sense
xx ei xx

fruitloop79 · 21/01/2008 17:27

yes, It's a possibility!

Hi MummyAnnabella welcome to our...ahem...very shy thread

OP posts:
cluckyagain · 21/01/2008 17:57

OK - I'm obviously not the only one with EWCM and dh offerings confusion - so far I appear to have ovulated 3 times this month and would have sworn each time that it was the real thing!!!

mibbes · 21/01/2008 19:47

ClairePO I have also been scarred by that photo !
Fruitloop are you putting temps into FF yet as I think this will give you a more accurate idea of what os happening. I haven't had EWCM the past 2 months so you're not alone !
MrsEi good news about the house... new house, new baby...
Welcome MummyAnnabella hope the tasting chat hasn't scared you off !
I still just have spotting just want to get next cycle started now as day 4 of spotting and my longest cycle by 10 days ... booored of this crappy cycle.

MrsEi25 · 21/01/2008 19:59

hi mibbes
sorry your AF hasnt turned up properly for you hun-th silly cow
bad news about the house though the fella wouldnt budge on his offer so we have had to turn it down it would have left us in £5500 debt that would need to be paid immediately or no go on the move ah well we WILL sell soon
xx ei xx

sambrads · 21/01/2008 20:02

hi ya fruitloop how are you having problems with the cm it can be a nightmare !!!

i was thinking of temping next month so fingers crossed that works better than cm!!!!

i am now sitting about waiting on af to come so i can start my next month of clomid!!!!

fruitloop79 · 21/01/2008 20:06

Hi sam yeah, I'm practically giving up on CM. It's far too confusing. I'd just love to temp but DP will wonder why I keep beeping every morning! And what happens when you wake up later at the weekend? Doesn't it have to be at the same time everyday?

OP posts:
fruitloop79 · 21/01/2008 20:09

I dont know whether to wait for Ov or AF? I wonder what the chances are of having another mega cycle

OP posts:
SydneyB · 21/01/2008 20:27

Evening all! Welcome MummyAnnabella, glad I could woo you over here. Have been very amused by CM conversation so thank you ladies. My thoughts on the subject are that DH's chaps are not clear and transparent. Am I right?

Here, no more spotting and it turned out to be the tiniest bit. Trying to stay calm and make myself wait for AF or test on fri am before this hen weekend. mibbes - with you on this wretched spotting. Just sodding come already AF or don't come at all!

LobstersLass · 21/01/2008 20:51

What has TTC done to me!!!

TMI coming up...
I went looking for my cervix today. It is low and pointing at an almost 90% to the left!! That can't be right can it? I've never noticed it there before.
TMI over

If the IT guys at work look up what I'm researching at home on this laptop, they're going to have a field day!
