Oooh, my first big thread

May I begin by saying I wish you all the bestest of luck!

Ok, shall I attempt to update the list?

twinklingfairy · 21/01/2008 22:18

lobsterlass Are you sure! How did you manage to feel that. I can only ever feel the very tip, It would never occur to me that it went any one way or the other!?

So sorry for you noam Just met up with a friend today who told me that she has had 2 CP's following her MC in October How awful for her, then I come on here and you have had one too
Assuming that is what has happened, sorry to be making assumptions

LobstersLass · 21/01/2008 22:45

Quite sure twinklingfairy. I can always find it, not that I'm looking every 5 minutes you understand. Just when I try, it's quite easy.

I recently found out as a result of an MRI that I've a retroverted uterus. I don't know if that's got anything to do with it.

It does the high/low thing, but it's really skewed at the moment. Knowing my luck it's an AF indicator.

mybabysinthegarden · 21/01/2008 23:30

Well AF arrived this morning, right after I'd done a test (how does it know?). I'm going to bid you all adieu-- I've not been trying that long but I think it's time to accept that the fact I weigh the same as I did when I was 38 weeks pregnant with dd is not helping! So I'm off to try and sort that out. It's been great seeing all the advice and support on here; best of luck to you all!

never you are not bringing the thread down atall - it is perfectly natural that you are going to be up and down.
It must be torture for you and I'm sure many of us are familiar with the deluded feeling (although not for a moment am I saying I undertsand how you feel because I don't). Even when am sure AF on her way I still quietly have fingers crossed. I have clutched at all manner of straws in the past - I think when you want something so much your mind just plays tricks.
Sorry if that is just a random ramble... it was supposed to help

NOAM please don't feel bad about feeling bad . I've had a MC and it is the most horrible thing ever. Having any dream shattered is horrible without having the awful physicality that goes with a mc/cp/blighted ovum....

You be sad for as long as you need to...we will be here to cheer you up .

noam nobody gets slapped here for feeling down after a loss, it isn't self pity its grief and sadness. I still get times of feeling very down after 4 months so don't you worry about telling us how you feel.

OK what is a retroverted uterus? Because I just had my smear done and the nurse said my cervix tilts backwards and when ttc we should raise my hips and aim for as deep penetration as we can, and experiment with positions.

mibbes · 22/01/2008 11:09

never am still waiting for AF - did another test on Sat but BFN, day 5 of pre-AF spotting now and temp dropped today so I think she is finally on her way - lazy b!tch.
ClairePO that reminds me that when I went for a smear once the nurse commented on my cervix being at a strange angle she didn't elaborate though...

Hi Pistachio, my (almost) cycle buddy!

I found out as the result of an MRI for a back problem. It was reported as a supplementary finding.

I went to see my doctor and he said it's more common than being left handed! One in four apparently. Doesn't cause any problems with pregnancy as the weight straightens it all out. It's sometimes linked with difficulty in getting pregnant due to positioning - but most people have no problems.

Emmsy1 · 22/01/2008 13:10

hi girls, shouldn't really come on here today feeling really low.
mibbes another negative this morning, not that I'm surprised! I did'nt want to moan as some girls go through these long cycles every month, but just one last rant, here goes... soooooooo pissed off with it all,it's wrecking my head! I woke up last night and had a short interval of sharp stabbing pains, they only lasted about 5 seconds each and it happened about 4 times. I really thought it could be implantation pains as I am sure I am 7dpo I googled for ages and couldn't find any 'official' sites that state implantation pains really do happen, and my pains were high up, just beneath my belly button,to the right side, so that doesn't tally with much? I only ended up worrying myself as I am now starting to think 'ECTOPIC' as you dont always produce a poss on the hpt? desparate for AF to show or a BFP as this is getting me down!, rant over now... how are you girls doing? The weather is better today, don't you think?

mibbes · 22/01/2008 16:09

oooh no CB Emmsy so sorry to hear you so down .
I suppose in a twisted kind of way I am lucky in that I know TEW is on her way (thanks to spotting). I can completely empathise with your frustration at long cycle (obviously as we are cycle buddies !!). I have been torturing myself thinking that if this stupid cycle had been a normal length then I'd be at opk stage of next cycle by now but here I am still waiitng for AF .
I have to say that for me it has been a great help having you (and Kate before she graduated ) as cycle buddies to take me through this epic journey.
I know you are testing most days but perhaps if you leave it a day or 2 then try again - at 7dpo it is still too early for a BFP anyway so even of you are PG it will not register yet. Even at 10dpo it is early so hold off until the weekend then test away !
From what I have read about ectopic PGs the pain is severe so please don't worry unduly.
I have everything crossed for you xx

MrsEi25 · 22/01/2008 17:55

evening girls
how has everyone been today??
NOAM dont worry about feeling down we are here to help you through any hard times so please feel free to rant/vent etc and alose i totally understand the feeling of wanting to test again. i had a MC 5years ago and about a week after i found a test in a drawer and decided to do it (i had had a scan that confirmed MC BTW) it was BFN of course and it was like i was back to the start of the awful feelings. i know how hard it is but try to resist the urge at least until you feel stronger in your self. i didnt and regret it it was, however one of the main reasons that i forced myself to come to terms with it and move on so in a way it helped in the long run HTH in some way {{{{hugs}}}}}
lobster and anyone else talkin about funny uterus problems... i was told by 2 differnt sonographers that i have a left lying uterus which is a possible cause for difficulty gettin pg due to positioning probs. i found that i had left handed back pain during pg and they told me it was due to this
sounds quite common so not to worry
xx ei xx

MrsEi25 · 22/01/2008 17:57

that was meant to say ALSO not alose

kate2179 · 22/01/2008 22:23

Hello ladies, not posted for a while but have been looking out for you all

NOAM so sorry to hear your news, wishing you lots of luck and love for your next cycle, and you have my permission to punch anyone who says anything 'helpful' like "at least you know you can get pregnant" which is what I seemed to get A LOT after my mc, or maybe you are a more tolerant person that me Take care {{hugs}}

mibbes & emmsy really hope the epic cycles sort themselves out one way or another soon. emmsy from what you said even if it is ectopic - which it SO ISN'T, but even if it was - it sounds to me like it'd be too early to be giving you any pain yet anyway. They thought my mc might have been ectopic for a while so I did quite a bit of research. More likely to be implantation pain!! Keeping everything crossed for you both (and for myself too ) xx

mibbes · 23/01/2008 08:12

Hi Kate great to hear from you - hope all is going well with your wee bean !
Well the wait is finally over for me and AF arrived properly last night, so CD1 at last !
I think Emmsy may have a few days to wait as if FF is correct she will find out what is going in (get her BFP) this weekend - I have fingers tightly crossed for you Emmsy .
Why has it been so quiet around here ? Ladies where are you ?

Sorry AF got you Mibbes, but good to no longer be in limbo and able to start a new cycle I guess.
Fingers crossed for you Emmsy.
CD32 for me but I'm determined not to test until next Monday (last cycle was 35 days). No symptoms really - I feel tired and have been having vivid dreams for the past week but I'm determined not to read anything into this!
Hope everybody else is OK.

JollyBear · 23/01/2008 10:00

HCB mibbes I'm so pleased that your AF has arrived! Obviously a late BFP would have been fantastic but at least you can leave this cycle behind and concentrate on the next Did your temp drop a lot?

emmsy like mibbes says it is too early to test but implantation pains can happen (or so I've read). Fingers crossed for you.

cricri Good luck with not testing! Fingers crossed for you too.

Hello to everyone else

MissusH · 23/01/2008 10:21

I'm still here and still no sign of af, am sneaky posting cos my boss is around today.

Haven't been on the ttc boards as often lately as trying not to obsess. Will test at the weekend if af doesn't arrive....
