Fruity I will definately sign up re:strep B,I was only diagnosed with it a year ago in september, and thats only because I went for a swab as was having a bit of pain.

mybabysinthegarden · 17/01/2008 13:06

Wow, 6 bfps and a whole new thread since I last looked! Congrats to everyone! Hi cycle buddy MissusH, I'm trying to hold off on testing too. My cycle used to be really short but since dd is 30+ days.

cricri · 17/01/2008 13:20

Congratulations NOAM! Fantastic news!
Fruitloop So sorry to hear about your friend's niece. I've just signed the Group B strep test petition and joined the Facebook group. I must be one of the lucky ones because when I was pg (before mc) I had a routine urine test as part of my hypothyroid ante-natal care and group B strep was picked up so my health authority must test for it in some cases. I don't understand why it's not available to all - such a simple test! NHS rationing no doubt I was prescribed antibiotics and told I would need to be on a drip during labour. The hospital gave me no other information but fortunately somebody on MN directed me to the Group B strep support site (your link) which is extremely useful.
Hope everybody else is OK.

Fruitloop so sorry to hear about your friends niece. Will look at those links.

Anybody seen Sandies around?? This thread moves so fast I may have missed her somewhere, just wondered how she's getting on?

fruitloop79 · 17/01/2008 13:48

Thanks so much. It will mean so much to my friend. The deadline for the petition is Sat 19th Jan (this sat!!).

Please see above if anyone else would like to sign it. It's VERY easy

My DP fell asleep last night so no Bd-ing for me He's on a new health kick. Going to gym @ 6.30 am! mad man. The tables have completely turned, I've always protested to sex (too tired/head hurts ) now it's me driving him mad.

I de-fuzzed and had a shower after the gym last night especially for him. It'll all be stubble by tonight

He just doesn't realise how good he's got it does he! he he

fruitloop

Although I have graduated I still and eye on what is going on in ttc land. Am shocked aout your friends niece. I had no idea. No midwife has ever mentioned it to me. Have joined the Downing St petition and finally joined facebook and joined the group also.
Let's hope they do something about it, although I know it wont help your friends niece. My heartfelt feelings and prayers go out to the family.

LLxx

GreenGlassGoblin · 17/01/2008 15:00

Fruitloop, signed your petition.
And NOAM, congratulations!

mibbes · 17/01/2008 16:36

Hi Ladies, hope everyone is well - trying to catch up with the day's chat as have been busy with work today.
Kate as Emmsy says, once a cycle buddy always a cycle buddy
Emmsy you are very brave testing so often. I was so gutted by BFN am avoiding a repeat performance like the plague. Will test again at the w/e if no AF but think I may have had a very lazy egg this cycle so AF probably due early next week ...?
Am all signed up for FF so hopefully things will be clearer next month when am armed with temps .
Fruitloop I'll get signed up tonight - so sorry about friend's niece .

MrsEi25 · 17/01/2008 19:24

hi all
fruitloop i have signed onto the two petitions. so to hear about your friends neice xx
NOAM huuuuuge congrats to you for your BFP!!
how is everyone else??
i had my docs appt today. he thinks that i need blood tests and that my funny symptoms may be bowel related as i suffer in that area anyway and i have to go for loadsa blood tests etc to find out whats goin on. he is also testin for hormone levels and iron and thyroid function again although i have only just had thyroid ones and i have an underactive one so i think he is just covering all bases to be thorough. i am happy with this as its what i feel i have needed for a while but the other doctoer likes to make you beg for further tests...bitch at least this time next week i will know more re: whats goin on wit my body!!
anywho enough rambling from me xx

Emmsy1 · 17/01/2008 21:01

fruitloop I visited the gov site and signed the strep B petition about 5 mins ago, I'm still waiting for the email to arrive for me to confirm my support.

fruitloop79 · 17/01/2008 21:08

Thanks soooo much everyone for your support. I've told my friend how wonderful you all are and she is ever so grateful

Where is everyone today?
They've all buggered off to the anti-natal thread

Not many of us left in the waiting room!

MadMoodyandBroody · 17/01/2008 21:09

Hiya,

are OV Tests always right?

Cause Im on CD13 of my firat cycle after the pill and i felt like i was going to come on, tummy cramps, heavy feeling, ect so i was sure I was OVing but just tested and its negative

LobstersLass · 17/01/2008 21:18

Congratulations to Neveronamonday!! Brilliant news!!

Now, I'm about to lower the tone...
Can anyone tell me if constipation is a pregnancy symptom? I seem to have seized up!

fruitloop79 · 17/01/2008 21:23

in a word lobsterlass YES! Also the squits is a symptom too

OP posts:
MrsEi25 · 17/01/2008 21:26

hi LL i was constipated throughout my entire 41+5 day preg wit DD so yes it most definitely IS a symptom for me at least
MMAB as far as i can tell with this lot OV tests are not always accurate so if you feel you might be oving get BDing just in case. also keep an eye out for EWCM as that is also a sign you may be about to ov HTH a bit there are loadsa TTC experts on here who may be able to help a bit more (lol i almost typed groin instead of grin must be too much BD on the brain)
xx ei xx

MadMoodyandBroody · 17/01/2008 21:32

Lol,

thanks!

Can i be really gross though ...

Ummm we have been BDing everynight since CD9, and how can i tell if i have EWCM if i have 'boy stuff' lol. up there?

I mean it comes out after , and during the day after.

sorry that is wayyyy TMI!!!

MrsEi25 · 17/01/2008 21:37

nothing is TMI on here hun EWCM is clearer and stretchier to the touch than 'manjuice' as my DH so delicately puts it so it would feel different if touched. boy stuff is usually thinner/stickier than EWCM in my experience. HTH

07mumstheword · 17/01/2008 21:42

Fruitloop I've signed the petition. A friend of mine had her second baby last year and Strep B was detected so she had the necessary treatment but I had never heard of it until then and it can be so devestating. So sorry about your friends niece

MadMoody&Broody The ovulation tests usually detect an LH surge prior to OV so it could be that you've missed that surge and are OV now. Symptoms sound like it and CD13 very plausable.

Hi to everyone else.

I had reflexolgy today and she said I am very stressed around my head! It was good and no obvious problems but she said it will take a couple of sessions to re-balance my body and I must try to relax and get something else to take my mind off TTC. Yeah right, it's like that train you just can't get off.

I also had doctors appt. Basically I have to wait 12 months then she will send me for test. I was expecting that so ho hum.

I thought one of the above may have proved to be a miracle in the TTC world but no I just have to relax, be patient and BD!

fruitloop79 · 17/01/2008 21:45

ei I almost typed c**t instead of count this morning! good job I read what I type before I post it!

LobstersLass · 17/01/2008 22:00

Thanks for your replies fruitloop79 and MrsEi25. I tend to have a 26 day cycle, so I should know soon enough!

I feel like I'm going to burst!

MrsEi25 · 17/01/2008 22:26

hi angelx dont feel you are butting in at all as everyone is welcome here i havent bought anyhtin off MN myself but i would try and make sure that you have got a secure payment account set up like paypal and all you do is post a reply on the thread concernin the item you want and the seller will give you their email address and you would just go from there. thats what i have gathered when lookin into it myself good luck and if you are TTC we are here to help with that aswell (and most other things aswell)
