Hello ladies.

So this is my story. I am 30years with a beautiful DD, aged 4. We decided we would finally give start trying for baby #2 in May. However, as we had a big family holiday planned for 14 nights during May this meant that we were only able to try prior to going on holiday. So we figured that month was completely out of the question.

My period was due towards the second half of the second week away but Instead I had very sore breasts and a super bubbly stomach. I just figured it was PMT symptoms especially as it was accompanied by spotting.

The spotting continued, everyday. On arrival home, I did a pregnancy test, really not believing I could be pregnant since we were unable to even really "try". To my shock and delight it was positive!

I had some spotting on my DD during early pregnancy so didn't think too much into it. However, the spotting got worse. I tried contacting a local midwife who advised that as I was only 4.5 weeks pregnant there was nothing I could other than wait it out.

It continued, with period cramping pains and a lower bad back, although they were mild. The spotting colour changed to bright red and then on Wednesday (last week) I knew I was completely miscarrying. We are devestated but we understand these things happen. I'm also trying not to overthink everything as that's what I always do.

I've now stopped bleeding. And feel that I've gone through a bit of an emotional roller-coaster the last week. We would like to try again, straight away. So I guess I'm looking for a little advice.

The Dr told me it's probably best to wait a cycle before trying again but looking online there doesn't seem to be any benefit or logic to this if you know you miscarried earlier in pregnancy and have passed the full miscarriage. Do you think I will be fine to immediately try again without first having a period?

And then if I was successful would I just count my pregnancy from the miscarriage bleed? (father than 1st day of last period)

I was thinking of booking a ultrasound scan privately to check the endometrium lining is thick enough to support a pregnancy. Do you think this is wise? And if so, do you think 2 weeks following MC would be the best suitable time to book a scan to view the thickness?

Also, people have told me how common MC is and how I obviously must have found out super early in pregnancy. But I didn't think we did find out super early? A few people have passed the same remark ; " you found out early if you was only 4.5 weeks. Most people don't know until later" now I understand if I hadn't of done a test then I would have assumed this MC was my period. However, I was 3 days passed my due period when I tested so? 😳 Isn't finding out your about 4.5 weeks pregnant about the usual??

Sorry for the ramble. I guess it's nice just to write everything down 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Thanks.

Hey everyone. Hope you've had a good weekend! I've taken a few days away from here during AF. CD5 and AF has now buggered off so on to trying to find a way to start DTD without body contact in this heat 🤣

I'm glad your bloods are on the up @yorkshiremumofone

Can't wait to see see scan pictures for the two of you getting scans this week ❤️❤️

Laurzz · 18/07/2022 09:33

@yorkshiremumofone that line is very strong and amazing news on the bloods. Sounds like everything is going in the right direction 😁. Nothing worse when someone asks 'if your pregnant' when your trying to hide it😂. X

Lauren441 · 18/07/2022 10:21

@TheCakeIsALie18 - that made me chuckle! 😂 Maybe just ask for a vile of it instead 😂.

@yorkshiremumofone - fantastic results my lovely! All good signs ❤️.

I had my scan this morning! I can confirm it's one single babe (thankfully 😂) and is measuring just under 1 centimetre!!!!!! And despite being officially only 6+1 weeks, babe already has a flickering heartbeat. ❤️ Fingers crossed all continues this well 🤞🏼❤️

@Lauren441 Glad I could make you chuckle haha. Not sure how he will respond if I asked for a vile of it 🤣🤮

Oooooh that's soo cuuuuteee ❤️❤️ I'm glad the scan went well and everything is looking good xx

Laurzz · 18/07/2022 11:33

@TheCakeIsALie18 Glad your still here 😀and look forward to all your updates. Good Luck for this cycle!

@Lauren441 heartbeat at 6+1 is amazing. Will you go for anymore scans or wait until your 12 week one? Delighted for you 💕

Lauren441 · 18/07/2022 14:19

@laurzz @TheCakeIsALie18 - thanks ladies!

@laurzz - ill wait until my 12 week now, unless there's a need to go earlier for any reason. Hopefully that's not the case though. :) yeh I was suprised to see a heartbeat at 6+1 but she said its probably started very recently. 😍 How are you feeling?

Hi Ladies,

Iv just caught up and so exciting to read about scans, heartbeats & lines getting stronger 😍 congrats all 🤍

Sorry to hear AF showed her face and best of luck for this cycle @TheCakeIsALie18

Sorry for the radio silence, nausea and morning (all day) sickness has just wiped me out this last week. Iv been barely able to move and working/looking after her DD has been so rough with regular runing to the loo to be sick. But obviously it is nice to have very obvious symptoms now. I think I will go to the gp if it carries on as I'm not sure I can cope another 6-7weeks of this!

I also have a scan booked but for next Tuesday so I should be between 7-8 weeks very nervous and excited

Xxxxx

TheCakeIsALie18 · 19/07/2022 00:08

Thanks @WaitingWatchingPeeing ❤️ sorry to hear you're having a rough time with sickness, but at least it's a good symptom to confirm everything! Remember to drink plenty of water and try to eat small snacks. If you struggle to keep food down then grab yourself some sports drinks so you can at least replenish your salts and get some sugar in your system.

Rest up xx

Maya12345 · 19/07/2022 13:32

@Lauren441 so happy you had such a great scan!! A heartbeat so early must be such a good sign!

@WaitingWatchingPeeing so sorry you're feeling so rough. Nausea in this heat is so rough. Defo speak to the gp and see if they could help.

I'm so happy, today's scan showed measuring one day ahead at 7+2, strong fast heartbeat in the lil bean! So cool to see it. I cried with relief when I left. I know it's not ever going to be 100% out of the woods but it felt like a big step in the right direction. I'm going to tell closest family today! Eek.

Hope you're all OK in this heat! Xx

Laurzz · 19/07/2022 15:12

@Maya12345 i'm glad everything is well and going in the right direction. Your 12 week scan will be here before you know it 😀. So exciting.

I'm surviving this heat (just), i'm counting down the hours until i can run out of work and get home and sit in my knickers and bra 😂

TheCakeIsALie18 · 19/07/2022 18:11

@Laurzz I work from home and I can tell you sitting in your knickers and bra doesn't make any difference in this heat 😅😅 you just have less material to attach to you haha xx

TheCakeIsALie18 · 03/08/2022 22:24

How is everyone getting on? Thread has gone quiet. All you girls with BFPs recently I hope pregnancy is going smoothly xx

Laurzz · 05/08/2022 09:23

@TheCakeIsALie18 hey, thanks for checking in. How's things with you?

I've had covid and it was pretty rough. Thankfully I'm coming out the other side now.

18 weeks today, because I've been so poorly this week I'm worried about the impact it might of had on the baby. I contacted my midwife and she reassured me. I've got my 20 week scan on the 19th Aug although I'm extremely nervous for the scan I'm also counting down the days.

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 09:38

@Laurzz I'm alright thank you lovely 6dpo today. I wonder if anyone here has ever had stuffy/itchy nose as a symptom before BFP... I'm not symptom spotting this cycle which is nice but I've had this the last couple days now. It's not a cold as I feel fine and it's not hay-fever as I've taken anti-histamines with no effect. So who knows but it's super annoying being constantly stuffy and sniffy haha.

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear you had covid 😢 I'm glad you're out the other side now though. Try and stay calm. Your midwife would have told you if there was a chance there could have been an impact. Look forward to the next couple of weeks when you can see your baby again ❤️❤️ xx

Laurzz · 08/08/2022 10:57

@TheCakeIsALie18 When you planning on testing? I did a lot of sneezing around the time i got my BFP. Got everything crossed for this cycle 😀.

Trying to stay positive for the next few weeks, i hopefully will start to feel some movement soon. Why can someone design a window to our wombs so we can see what's going on? 😂X

TheCakeIsALie18 · 08/08/2022 11:05

@Laurzz hahaha a window would be super helpful lol.

I tested this morning with a cheapie easy@home and it's neg but I'm still only 9dpo today. Last night I had pulling along my pubic bone. I'm still sneezing and tooting 🤣 all the time. Had a metallic taste in my mouth yesterday morning and this morning. And without going too tmi I have IBS so looseness is my standard movement if that makes sense, but today it's a lot less loose and I'm bloated.

So got my fingers crossed that the farting and sneezing will be worth it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 xx

Ashon · 08/08/2022 11:15

Hello everyone - I hope you are really well? Sorry for joining so late to the party.. I am new here and have no idea how to use this!

i miscarried last month and we have tried to conceive immediately after…. I think I am going crazy and feeling obsessed but I have taken an early test (although it’s hard to tell when I am due my period now). This wasn’t the first urine of the day but I have a faint, almost invisible line on the test. Please could anyone give me their thoughts? ☹️ Thank you xxx

TheCakeIsALie18 · 08/08/2022 11:42

@Ashon hey! Yep I can definitely see a line there. I had a CP in June and we tried to conceive straight after. I'm on cycle 2 after it now and hoping I'll get my BFP this week after having some new and strange symptoms!

I've got everything crossed for you. I started another thread when I started this TWW which is quite active so feel free to join us over there. It's a little quiet here at the moment because most of the girls have had their BFPs ❤️ xx

Ashon · 08/08/2022 11:45

You are SO kind. Thank you so much 🥺❤️

Laurzz · 08/08/2022 12:03

@TheCakeIsALie18 sounds all very positive. I always had this vision pregnancy would be 'glamorous' but it really isn't.

@Ashon There is a line there. How many dpo are you? Test in two days time and hopefully the line is darker. Sorry to hear about your MC 💔.

Ashon · 08/08/2022 12:05

I just did another test…. I am in denial so going to get some more tests and do it every day …

@Ashon amazing - congratulations 😁

TheCakeIsALie18 · 08/08/2022 13:19

Eeeek congrats @Ashon

Maya12345 · 24/08/2022 12:19

Hi everyone, it's been a while! Hope you're all doing OK, and you're all still chugging away with sticky beans in there and aren't feeling too nauseous!! Mine disappeared a couple weeks ago now, so that's a relief.

Had my 12 week scan today and gained a whole week which is great! Assumed id then tell all my friends then but realised I should probably wait the 3 working days for the screening blood test results before spilling the beans.. What are you planning to do around that?

So exciting to see it jumping and twitching away in there 😍

Hope you're all well!
Xx

Laurzz · 24/08/2022 12:57

@Maya12345 how lovely, congratulations 💕. Glad you got to see your little baby jumping about the womb.

I'm 20 + 5 Weeks today. We had our 20 week scan on Friday and everything looking positive.

We told our parents the day after our 12 week scan and some close family. My screening took 2 weeks to come back but thankfully come back clear. It was around the 16 week mark before we were 'casually' telling people. We've also don't have anything on Social Media and don't plan to either. However, do what's right for you. If you want to shout it from the roof tops today - go for it!

Hope your screening comes back all clear 😀.
