Hi!
Making a thread looking for some company/support
I'm currently going into cycle 4, trying to conceive baby 1.
Looking for others in similar situation.
Beginning to feel a bit deflated now, as I am sure many many others are too.
Trying some things different this cycle to hopefully get a BFP
•ordered an Ovusense core
•carrying on with my reflexology weekly
•Trying the SMEP method
•Hot water bottle after ovulation as I read someone else done on here
•carrying on with my supplements

Any other advice/recommendations/suggestions welcome

May April be the months of lots of BFP's 🌟.x

@Longbin ah, I'd wondered how you knew certain facts/figures - how do you find the Mira? (I must admit I had a jolt of recognition at the name.. googled it... then realised I was thinking of the brand of showers not fertility monitors - spent too long in house renovation mode!!)

@MrsGrealish thanks for the info re the ovulation, that's interesting to hear about the other OPK's being later than the CB! Fingers crossed. You're not too old, there are plenty of women getting pregnant around that age! Obviously I hope it doesn't get to that but would you seek help from the Dr if you don't manage it naturally?
Hope you have a fab time holiday shopping xx

RMS0209 · 19/04/2022 13:09

@alwaysseeingstars just saw your peak question! I have a friend that gets a peak but doesn't OV until 3 days later.. been like that for 2 cycles

I just done the OPK I was setting myself up for....... 0.23 Sad

@MrsGrealish missed your message... I don't think you are too old either. I know a lot of anecdotal stuff with pregnancy after 40 but I appreciate it can often be unhelpful to hear..if I have one more person say to me "at least you can get pregnant..." I may scream!

I was debating the Mira too, maybe I'll just buy them all and never leave the house, charting furiously. It's actually quite tempting...

@alwaysseeingstars the doctor is a no go for me. I had a TIA in my mid 20s while on the mini pill so can't use ANY kind of hormonal supplements not even progesterone suppositories. I had a baby after the TIA so I know that pregnancy won't be an issue. The neurologist was very clear is the no hormones ever! Xx

babyjellyfish · 19/04/2022 15:55

@RMS0209 I think I only photographed my OPKs once they were positive. I had a faint second line on Sunday and then it was a clear positive yesterday.

I don't think I'm in any position to be encouraging anyone else though, as I have a very bad feeling about this cycle. My working theory was that I was ovulating too late each time when my egg was over mature and that's what was causing my miscarriages. If my theory is correct, I'm sure that's what's happened this time as well because I wasn't able to get ultrasounds over the Easter weekend and triggered too late. We'll see in a few weeks.

alwaysseeingstars · 19/04/2022 15:58

@MrsGrealish oh - wasn't aware of that! Is that after any TIA or is it because you were on the pill at the time? I had a TIA 2 years ago but haven't been told about that.. although the neurologist is still investigating a number of things so has to sign off any changes. Very scary aren't they (although worse for those around I believe!) xx

MrsGrealish · 19/04/2022 16:09

@alwaysseeingstars omg so scary! I was blue lighted to hospital because I couldn't speak. I think I lost my speech for a good 6 hours. DH was beside himself. Neurologist said it was the desogestrel (cerazette) I was taking and after DD I got the copper coil put in. And blood thinners to take. And im under a cardiologist now who says pregnancy if it happens is no problem xx

Im kinda glad I put this out there now and found someone else who experienced this.

alwaysseeingstars · 19/04/2022 16:16

Same, although not for as long luckily - I lost conciousness (but I suffer from seizures so they think it was to do with that) then couldn't move or speak at all, but luckily it came back within around 3 hours. Had to stay in overnight whilst they found out the cause (inherited A-Fib that hadn't been diagnosed). Terrifying experience! Interesting re the Cerazette, I was on that before the copper coil and it was increasing my blood pressure so had to come off it. Same from the neurologist and cardiologist, took a while and some meds changes but finally got the all clear to TTC :)
Hope you haven't had too many long term effects other than having to take blood thinners? xx

MrsGrealish · 19/04/2022 16:44

@alwaysseeingstars no I'm all good though sometimes I'll hit a fatigue wall and go away to recharge in peace for 5/10 mins xx

Desogestrel is available to buy OTC now and it literally pains me. Personally I've never sold it and never would.

MO22 · 19/04/2022 18:17

Sorry for not knowing, but it what is a TIA? Sounds horrible for you both!

MrsGrealish · 19/04/2022 18:40

@MO22 Transient Ischaemic Attack (like a mini stroke)

How are you now did the bleeding get heavier?

MrsGrealish · 19/04/2022 18:42

@MO22 also loving the image all the TTC gadgets 😂 if we didn't laugh we would cry

MO22 · 19/04/2022 19:07

@MrsGrealish god that sounds horrible, glad you are both ok!

Finally home after traversing the country from Scotland to London via a stint in the office, I am so grumpy ha. I put a tampon in so I wouldnt spend they day constantly peering at my liner, and took it out just now (so much TMI) and it's brown and has some v small clots (TTTTTTMI), I am just confused, I wonder if it's because I didn't ovulate my lining didn't build up properly? Don't have AF cramps anywhere near as bad as usual either. But it definitely does not seem like an implantation bleed. I know I'm holding on tho as I haven't update my fitbit (one of 54 apps) that this is a new period. Might have to POAS tomorrow to really confirm its BFN, which is stupid as I'm bleeding but hey ho.

How is your bleed?

MrsGrealish · 19/04/2022 19:16

@MO22 don't worry I literally did the same thing this morning. Peed on a one step pregnancy test. Obviously bfn. Still a light bleed randomly. I'm back at work tomorrow so either the bloodbath will commence or I'll ovulate on CD7 🙄🙄

Lulux33 · 19/04/2022 19:31

Hi, feel like I’m late to the party but hoping it’s ok to join this thread.

Currently 9 DPO, driving myself crazy symptom spotting after a chemical last month. My cycle has felt so off this month, had a UTI a few days ago and generally just not feeling confident this month. Stupidly did a test this morning (BFN) even though I have never had a positive before 12DPO. For whatever reason I feel like this won’t be our month but also experiencing a lot of aches, twinges, headaches, nausea and tiredness today. Actually wondering if I might be coming down with something but TTC makes you like everything back to ‘am I pregnant’? 🙈🙈.

Sorry for the essay, just felt I need to talk to people in the same boat as my OH is very ‘what will be will be’ so never joins in my speculation haha xxx

RMS0209 · 19/04/2022 19:57

Hey guys!

What would you advise is the best brand for early pregnancy detection? I know I’ve read a few people don’t think FRER is great!
