Hi!
Making a thread looking for some company/support
I'm currently going into cycle 4, trying to conceive baby 1.
Looking for others in similar situation.
Beginning to feel a bit deflated now, as I am sure many many others are too.
Trying some things different this cycle to hopefully get a BFP
•ordered an Ovusense core
•carrying on with my reflexology weekly
•Trying the SMEP method
•Hot water bottle after ovulation as I read someone else done on here
•carrying on with my supplements

Any other advice/recommendations/suggestions welcome

May April be the months of lots of BFP's 🌟.x

@Longbin Hey lovely, I meant to ask how you measure progesterone levels? Is it with the Mira?

RMS0209 · 18/04/2022 22:56

@pocketbunny
oh? I wonder... I'm actually pretty angry, I got some swabs at the doctor and it took 14 days to tell me it was thrush
i would definitely suggest going back for some more swabs though? Mines isn't itchy either! Just the same as you with the discharge... so gross and strange! I was wondering if it was maybe why I hadn't had a peak yet this month.
Have you tried anything for it?

@MrsGrealish true you are right!! Come on ladies give us some positives

@MO22 no moaning it's ok don't be silly! We are all here to listen to each other - good & bad.
I can imagine it's a trigger for you, I'm sending you big hugs.
I ended up with 3 months brown spotting at the beginning of the month remember and I ended up going to see the DR and whatever she done when she swabbed made AF arrive in full force!! X

MO22 · 19/04/2022 07:06

@MrsGrealish god that does feel like ages ago! Old swimmers club unite 😂

I've still got spotting, and it's a tiny bit more red.
To be honest, I'm now just really pissed off. I've done everything I possibly can, and what's the point of all the anguish and tracking when i supposedly ovulated last Monday and now am bleeding. Very pissed off at clearblue OPKs too.

Can't decide whether I just give up on tracking and have more regular sex (v hard to find the time!) or get an Ouvsense as clearly my PCOS is causing ovulation issues... How are you rating it @RMS0209? And what did the doc say to you about spotting?

Longbin · 19/04/2022 09:12

@MrsGrealish yes but I’ve only ever had between 6-15ug/ml which is pretty concerning if it’s accurate. Hopefully it’s not!

alwaysseeingstars · 19/04/2022 09:19

Morning ladies, how's everyone doing? Hope you all had a nice Easter weekend xx

@MO22 thank you for the message re CB, I 100% forgot it always shows the blank first!! So hopefully the static was accurate. Just not sure how much to trust it and my body doesn't give many signs away!
Sorry I missed your q, have you done the prog test? I don't think you have to be totally accurate with timings, if you don't have AF or only v irregularly you can do the test at any time so it can't be that specific! :) Maybe try the ovusense to get a clear understanding of what's happening (if that will help put your mind at ease at least) and IB is definitely a real thing, it's just not overly common according to my Dr.

Hey to all the new people on here :)

@babyjellyfish glad you finally got the positive ov test!! lots of BD over the weekend?!

@RMS0209 how you doing? How's the ovusense results compared to your OPK's??

@MrsGrealish nothing is TMI haha :) how you feeling, any change since yesterday?

babyjellyfish · 19/04/2022 09:32

@alwaysseeingstars Yes lots of BD!

I went for my ultrasound this morning because it was too late to cancel it and my follicle had grown from 15mm on Friday to 26mm today. I don't know how much of that was post trigger but c'mon ovary, you really need to ovulate right now.

I am worried my follicle might be post mature.

Either way... too late to do anything about it right now. The timing of the Easter weekend for ultrasounds messed everything up.

RMS0209 · 19/04/2022 09:34

@MO22 Don't start me off with the clear blues... I got my peak on CD10 remember... fake peak my temps don't match it Hmm
Sending you a big hug, nobody tells you how hard it really is Sad
Had another cry last night... came into the office today to hold it together.. well to at least hope.
IF I were you.. personally and you have the money i'd go with the ovusense and more regular (when you have the time) I'll find that code I used for the 20% off which is suitable for PCOS.
I like it, I forgot to put it in last night before I fell aleep so I am kicking myself, but its good it has confirmed I havent ovulated yet. (which I already knew!)

@alwaysseeingstars morningm how are you? i'm rubbish... trying to feel optimistic about a peak but not feeling it, been awake since 4 too.. the joys of an overactive mind Sad how are you doing? I do really like the ovusense x

OP posts:
alwaysseeingstars · 19/04/2022 09:47

@babyjellyfish oh gosh, sorry I don't know much about the 'technical' side of fertility... can answer many other medical issues from experience but this journey is baffling. At least you know you've done/are doing everything you possibly can!!

@RMS0209 oh no, please don't cry :( I know what you mean about the overactive mind, mine is terrible for overthinking everything. I'm doing OK thanks, 2DPO now (if CB test was right?) so in the dreaded wait, just kicking myself that we didn't get much chance for BD!! wishing I had an easier cycle rather than so many days of flashing, as it's hard to know when to expect it (as you also know!!)x

MO22 · 19/04/2022 10:30

@RMS0209 thanks love, I'm sorry to hear you're feeling bad too, I'm not a huge crier but I've had my moments these last few days! Bleeding heavier today so I'm sure it's my period, genuinely can't believe it to be honest as I've done everything right, taken all the supplements etc. I forgot you also had CB taking the piss, it's mad isn't it, I always took it as gospel.

I've got one more month (May) to try until I have June off - I've got Glastonbury tickets and it's my due date then from my MC so just don't want to make it any worse, so I'm wondering whether to get ovusense now I'm on cycle day 1 again... Or wait until July. Feels awfully far away! I think I've just convinced myself to get it now lol if you have that code?

My other question to all you lovely, wise ladies is, should I be worried about the fact my OPK said I ovulated and I had a period a week later? Do I worry about my cycle or do I chalk it up to PCOS, covid, bad clearblue etc. I don't have the energy to keep hassling the GP when they don't give a shit... but I suppose the results of the private prog test is ammo for them to at least give me a free other one next month?

alwaysseeingstars · 19/04/2022 10:53

question for you helpful bunch... would you expect ovulation pain to only be the day after a peak test (ie assumed do of ovulation) or can it take a while? I had the peak test on Saturday, so I would assume Ov on Sunday, but yesterday afternoon had very sharp then dull pains on my right... much more to the far right side than I'd imagine, nearly where my hip bone is. Any ideas? Confused

@MO22 My friend with PCOS had that, sometimes her luteal phase would be 6-7 days, sometimes 14-16. And regular months with no ovulation. Very odd! I'd definitely be keeping clear logs about it so that you can discuss with the GP, the more data the better! Do you have a general idea on how long your luteal phase is or does it vary?

RMS0209 · 19/04/2022 10:54

@alwaysseeingstars I'm just deflated! I had such high hopes for this month and a plan that I was excited to do and my body has let me down again Sad
What days did you manage to hit again when you got peak? I have everything crossed you hit the right days - I have faith in you that this is your month!!

@MO22 I'm so sorry to hear the bleeding is heavier too Sad
I would bedue June too, which is making this all the harder! But Glastonbury will be lovely - very jealous!
I'd get the Ovusense (Ovucore) now if you can... do it treat yourself! You don't use it until AF has left though, and I can try help as much as I can with it (i'm still learning!)
the code is: PCOS20 - i just tried it on the website and it still works Smile

I'd bother the doc, mines are useless I have to wait 3/4 weeks for an app! and how much arguing to get a progesterone test that I won't be able to get right now since I havent ovulated. BUT when I got covid I had AF for 10 days and didn't get a peak until day 18/19 so it does have some answering too x

Peonies94 · 19/04/2022 11:01

@alwaysseeingstars I had similar! Peak Tuesday and then pains Friday! Totally In the wrong place I think, but definitely sharp pains which could have been ovulation!

MO22 · 19/04/2022 11:07

@alwaysseeingstars I guess I thought I was managing PCOS better than I actually am. I've always had a luteal phase of 13 days, and then post MC it's been 12... I have never, ever experienced this, since I've been tracking my period (like 5 years, because I'm nosy and obsessive re PCOS, only started TTC Feb last year). Just feel pissed off and deflated like @RMS0209 - I feel like we started the month with all the opportunities and now I just feel like my body is punishing me or something, I know that's silly.

I will, once again, throw money at the problem, and get an Ouvsense. Thanks so much for the code!

I really hope someone gets their BFP this month!!!

RMS0209 · 19/04/2022 11:13

@Peonies94 @alwaysseeingstars hope you ladies have ovulated and get a BFP!

@MO22 I hope the ovusense gives you some luck, really do.
I'm off to POAS (OPK) then cry because it's low Smile x

OP posts:
alwaysseeingstars · 19/04/2022 11:18

@MO22 and @RMS0209 it's not silly in the slightest to feel deflated and sad, we grow up believing that 'making babies' is the easiest thing in the world... then reality hits and it really does take up SO much headspace! Then add a woman's rapidly changing hormones and it's a wonder any of us manage to function on a daily basis!! Plus the complications of PCOS... Sad Hope the ovusense works for you and you get on with it as well as @RMS0209 does Smile

@Peonies94 thank you for your comment, I'm hoping it was ovulation pains and maybe it just took a bit longer to ovulate after the peak?! So then my confused brain thinks okaaay... so am I 1 or 2DPO?? So confusing!

@RMS0209 we DTD CD19 and 23, the peak was 22 but the pains I mentioned were CD24..

Peonies94 · 19/04/2022 11:24

It’s so hard isn’t it! Ttc is so tough! My cycles very from 35-100 days and when It just keeps going on it’s so disheartening! Ttc for 15 months which isn’t that long I know, it feels like forever though!!

@alwaysseeingstarsso the pains could have been just after ovulation. It’s hard to say! Do you temp?

alwaysseeingstars · 19/04/2022 11:38

Oh gosh, I do feel for you with those irregular cycles and also 15 months... it is a long time when each month matters so much to how you feel. Are you undergoing anything at the docs? Sorry if I've missed anything.
I don't temp, I have such broken sleep patterns and I know I'd be lousy at making sure I do it each morning! Tempted by the Ovusense though as this does cover that for you - although again, not sure how affected it'll be by broken sleep? I rarely sleep for more than 2 hours at a time which doesn't help!

MrsGrealish · 19/04/2022 11:47

Oh ladies🥲 I just logged on to Mumsnet there and am sorry to see so much pain.

@alwaysseeingstars yep that's sounds about right for ovulation. Clear blue show the static a day b4 the easy@home peaks so I would say that sounds right and it can take up to 48 hours. I'm good. Less pain still not bleeding too much but more energy💕

@MO22 I'm sorry the bleeding is heavier. I'm tempted by the ovucore too but I feel like I might just be too old to carry a baby now.. 40 in May..I think my body tries to implant then fails judging by my symptoms. When did u have covid? Because that can affect so much

@RMS0209 I had high hopes for this month too and am pissed off it came to an early end. But you aren't out of this cycle yet..so you did good, get out of the house to the office and take your mind off it for a while 😘

RMS0209 · 19/04/2022 11:54

@alwaysseeingstars I said it before and I'll say it again... why isn't it as easy as the movies Sad trying to have a happy day!
Sounds like you've had plenty DTD's this month, so feeling hopeful for you!

@Peonies94 sending you big hugs too, really nice to have this support network isnt it.

RMS0209 · 19/04/2022 11:55

@MrsGrealish oh hi just saw your message now - that's frustrating especially because the few days you had you did dance at all the right times Hmm Sad x

MO22 · 19/04/2022 11:56

Thanks for all the support everyone, Mumsnet makes me a bit insane sometimes but everyone's kind words and advice is so welcomed ❤️

On @RMS0209 advice I just bought the ouvsense, I went for the cheapest option (I am poor this month lol) with the discount and maybe blindly hoping I won't need the 12 month subscription! I feel a tiny bit better as at least I can just stick it in (up? Lol) and forget about it, and I've never been able to confirm ovulation so hoping it will at least do that for me!

@RMS0209 are you POAS just to triple check against the ouvsense? I am ready to throw all my CB away at this point Angry

Thanks @alwaysseeingstars for your support, I've always felt like I had milder PCOS but with the MC and now this, maybe I've been deluding myself!

@Peonies94 fellow 35 day cycle here, makes me so grumpy that I get like two less chances a year ha

MrsGrealish · 19/04/2022 12:02

@RMS0209 I did hit the right days and am sure I caught just couldn't implant...anyway holiday shopping awaits..have a lovely day everyone 💕

Peonies94 · 19/04/2022 12:10

@alwaysseeingstars had initial tests (bloods and scan, told to come back in 6 months) that’s why I never bothered with the standard temping! I wouldn’t sleep and forget to do it first thing etc! So with the ovucore you have to wear it for 7 hours I think. And then it does ideally have an overall 4 hours resting/sleeping but will edit out and average the temp getting rid of any waking active time. So ideally have 4 hours of resting during that time period and it should be fine!

@MO22good luck with the ovucore! Ahh 35 is good though! I have about 4 cycles a year! Sometimes it feels like forever waiting for my next chance! The not knowing when is hard too! But I do understand! On my 6th cycle in 15 months ttc! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@RMS0209 ahh sorry to hear your feeling down! The support does help so much though!

Peonies94 · 19/04/2022 12:12

Anyone who does temp, what’s your opinion on this? I didn’t feel like I did ovulate, but temps seem to be really suggesting I did! The longer it goes on for and stays elevated the more I think maybe I did? The particularly high temp the night before last I had a really poor sleep and wasn’t feeling great, so think that’s messed that one up!
