Hi!
Making a thread looking for some company/support
I'm currently going into cycle 4, trying to conceive baby 1.
Looking for others in similar situation.
Beginning to feel a bit deflated now, as I am sure many many others are too.
Trying some things different this cycle to hopefully get a BFP
•ordered an Ovusense core
•carrying on with my reflexology weekly
•Trying the SMEP method
•Hot water bottle after ovulation as I read someone else done on here
•carrying on with my supplements

Any other advice/recommendations/suggestions welcome

May April be the months of lots of BFP's 🌟.x

@RMS0209
Well I might be a convert next month if this cycle doesn't work. I am very interested in bbt..I tried to do that last cycle with a thermometer but it took soo long to beep then I could barely read it then most days I totally forgot about using it! Probably no point in me getting it at this stage in the cycle..or is there🧐

RMS0209 · 06/04/2022 10:36

@alwaysseeingstars

Phew I thought it was he wouldn't be happy!!
Glad you clarified and I can relax now hah.
That's no problem at all - I am 28 OH is 30.
I just try to have 1 or 2 a day of "fertile foods" I had courgette and sweet potato with last nights tea so 🤞🏻🙂

I tell myself every month I'll lose a bit of weight.. still waiting 😂 x

RMS0209 · 06/04/2022 10:38

@MrsGrealish do it! the 20% off code makes all the difference too. It will be a big help for me even if it takes my temp,I don't sleep the greatest so doing that alone will be a big help.
.... I'd wait, let's no jinx anything for April 🤞🏻

MrsGrealish · 06/04/2022 10:40

@alwaysseeingstars I'm 39 OH is 42

There was a moment when DS crashed the car OH was like and why are we trying for another one again?

alwaysseeingstars · 06/04/2022 10:55

@MrsGrealish hahah I bet! But I'm sure all the cons are easily outweighed by the pros :)
@RMS0209 hahah sorry I scared you! He definitely does want one, were watching a film yesterday (The Gentleman - amazing film btw!) where they quote about raising little cubs - he turned to me and said 'I want us to raise a cub' - I did check he wasn't planning to buy us a tiger Wink It's so hard losing weight, I get all in the right mindset then am like ooh, a chocolate bar! Grin

Rhianne18 · 06/04/2022 11:14

Morning! Hope everyone is having a good day!

@RMS0209 thank you for the luck. Will keep you all updated.

@MrsGrealish yes, keeping everything crossed for both of us that one of them get through.

@alwaysseeingstars Hoping that the one time has done the trick. Also, to your question, I'm 29 and DH is 59. Big age gap, hence us having fertility investigations.

@Borolass84 I have no experience with Clomid, I hope it works for you. We're currently having investigations at the moment, we have our consolation with our results tomorrow morning.

Hello47 · 06/04/2022 11:16

@alwaysseeingstars Me and my OH are 32 so still pretty young! Ha, a tiger cub would be an interesting development

@RMS0209 glad the Ovusense has started off well for you! Will definitely me watching for updates on how you get on.

Ha, I’m allllways telling myself I’ll lose weight and I generally do lose a bit and then my period comes so I stuff myself with chocolate and wine 🤣

Up date from me, LH definitely down again today and bbt looks like it’s gone up but I keep waking up at like 4am and then falling back to sleep and taking my temp at 6.30 so not sure how reliable the results are tbh! so annoying

Just got a clear negative on a frer 😭😭 think it might have been too good to be true and a false positive, do you think test again tomorrow?

Hello47 · 06/04/2022 11:22

@em123456789 ah so sorry! Always worth a check, a lot can change in a day and what dpo are you again?

Borolass84 · 06/04/2022 11:24

@Rhianne18 good luck with consultation. Fertility clinic want me to try low dose of clomid first then go for scans probes etc then possibly increase dose. If clomid doesn’t work then it’s ivf route for us.

em123456789 · 06/04/2022 11:24

@Hello47 13🙈

RMS0209 · 06/04/2022 11:24

@MrsGrealish shouldn't laugh at OH's comment to you but I did!
@alwaysseeingstars haha phew glad we cleared it up, oh I have seen that on Netflix before it's good. They can be sweet guys when they want to be that's for sure 🥰 oh see my downfall is crisps and fizzy juice! oopsie although I made sure when I done the shop no fizzy juice just lots of diluted.
@Rhianne18 atleast not long to go for your results, still have everything crossed. 🤞🏻
@Hello47 now I think don't quote me.. it has to be 3 hours uninterrupted sleep to get an accurate measure.. i remember either being told or reading.
@em123456789 if you can I'd maybe try hold off until Friday then test again? When is AF due

OP posts:
em123456789 · 06/04/2022 11:26

@RMS0209 due 2 days ago

@Borolass84 sending you lots of luck for clomid I have heard good things.

@em123456789 hmm!! I say try hold out until Friday then, everything crossed for a sticky bean x

OP posts:
Rhianne18 · 06/04/2022 11:36

@Borolass84 I really hope it works for you, keeping everything crossed for you. How long have that said to try the Clomid before they refer you for IVF?

@RMS0209 thank you so much, I'm quite nervous, what will be, will be. I'm intrigued about the Ovusense, you seem to be getting on well with it so far. Do you think it's worth investing in?

alwaysseeingstars · 06/04/2022 11:40

@RMS0209 definitely with you on the fizzy drinks, find them so hard to drop!! But in fairness I don't drink alcohol more than once or twice a year so I allow myself that one - just need to make sure it's not everyday now!

@Rhianne18 good luck with the results, let us know how you get on!

@em123456789 oh I'm so sorry it's a BFN, as @RMS0209 maybe try again in a day or two - fingers crossed for you.

@Borolass84 hope the Clomid works for you!

MO22 · 06/04/2022 11:45

@RMS0209 @alwaysseeingstars so Def doing it Friday morning but we are staying at my mum's Friday and sat Eve as have a family wedding and it's a full house annoyingly! Not sure i'd be able to convince DH to do it with all his in laws about! So was thinking Fri and Sun if I ovulate Sat... But hoping I might ovulate Friday at least to hit it! We shall see...

So I am 34 but 35 in June, and DH is 38, I feel like we are Def getting on a bit because it's our first, but my sis had her first at 36. I just am worried I have a lot stacked against me with PCOS, thyroid stuff and also a MMC, so just praying I can get a sticky bean soon!

RMS0209 · 06/04/2022 11:57

@Rhianne18 we are ages together, plus guys can reproduce for ALOT longer than us female so that is in your favour too 🥰

Also.. promise I ament an Ovusense seller but honestly, the sleep I had last night was great not worrying in my sleep about temping .. it's a soft material and you can't feel it.
It's good to keep tracks to see when you do ovulate or when you have and knowing rather than the LH strips (nothing against them used yesterday!) just a peace of mind. I was about £159.20 for mine and financially im quite glad I did, time will tell though. X

Hi all 👋🏻

I haven’t posted on the thread this month, as we had to abstain so that I could have an HSG (to check my tubes). I had the procedure and am very pleased to say everything looked fine. AF is due in a few days so we are very much looking forward to trying again later this month! Fingers crossed Smile

mgdj · 06/04/2022 12:34

@RMS0209 I’m good! I’m on CD15 today and opks are still low but feel like I’ve had symptoms of ovulation so we’ve started DTD every other day. I don’t normally use opks as I feel like it stresses me out more but wanted to check I was actually ovulating!

How are you getting on?

I really hope so, keeping everything crossed that everything is okay! Expecting the worst but hoping for the best.

I think you should put in for commission 😂 I completely no what you mean regarding the worrying about taking your temperature I do mine with a thermometer and wake up in a panic about taking it 😂 I'm going to see how I get on this month and then might look into it for next month, keep your review coming!

RMS0209 · 06/04/2022 12:54

@Decaffe hi! that's great. what wonderful news happy for you. Wishing for a quick AF and lots of luck for April trying 🥰🤞🏻

@mgdj hello, that's great I was just wanting to check in with you. CD8 today... starting SMEP tonight. My OPK's were all low last month and just peaked over night - not ideal! but aslong as you are dancing before hand I'd say you are good and covered.

@Rhianne18 hoping that you get lucky this month and don't need it. X

OP posts:
alwaysseeingstars · 06/04/2022 12:58

@MO22 ah fair enough, completely get that! If Saturday isn't an option then Fri & Sun sound great, do you use OPK's to know when you've ovulated or can you tell? I genuinely have no idea without the CB tests but I know some people do!

@Rhianne18 I agree re @RMS0209 and the commission, think there's going to be a few sales from this thread alone Wink

MO22 · 06/04/2022 13:12

@alwaysseeingstars so I never hugely notice anything like EWCM so I go by clearblue, when I get the static smiley I stop testing and just trust it blindly lol. No other signs and I haven't allowed myself to do BBT because I'm obsessive ha and it will make me madder. I'm lucky that every time I've used OPKs (5 cycles) and got a peak, I've got pregnant or had AF arrive promptly 13 days later, so I have no reason not to trust it.

Having said that I've got the progesterone blood test for this cycle to check I am actually ovulating, have convinced myself I'm not despite regular (if long) cycle, so hoping that gives me another peace of mind!

Do you test OPKs after your high, like in the TWW?
