Starting Clomid tomorrow!

TTC number 2 and currently starting cycle 16. We are about to start Clomid and I wondered if anyone had any advice or tips? Just not sure what to expect with it.
We currently have no known issues, partners SA is ok, my bloods are ok and my HyCoSy came back clear.
Unsure on why we have been given Clomid but willing to give anything a try right now!

So I did end up with a cold and dodgy temps so I haven't got much of an update for you guys. I feel better now and my temp is back to normal, today is cd20 and I'm still waiting to ovulate at the moment. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you everyone, still very much in shock and can't believe it!! I have booked an early scan at the end of this month which will be my 7th week!

@TopSecret99 thank you so much! My symptoms weren't much different from every other month but the things I noticed was the exhaustion on 8dpo, I was absolutely drained all day. I was also burping excessively from around 5dpo to the point my partner nearly booked a doctors appointment for me! My nipples are SO sensitive and my both boobs feel bruised to touch. Other than that and a couple of headaches it was quite similar to a normal month!

@StepMumto1 congratulations! What cycle of clomid is this for you?

I'm CD17 and don't think letrozole is working at 2.5mg. some ?ovulation pain and a patch of fertile CM but I don't think it's then gone anywhere. Forgot to take temperature today though and throughout this cycle my sleep has been v disturbed so not sure I can trust temps

Thank you @TheDaydreamBelievers. This is my 3rd round of Clomid.

I didn't get any fertile CM during any rounds on my fertile days but I had an ultrasound scan to check for follicles on round 1 and 3. I don't believe I ovulated on round 2 as I had no symptoms.

I was also very relaxed with testing this month as I found it too intense! X

@TopSecret99 not long to go then! Hope you are feeling better from your cold, mine wiped me out 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm doing ok still waiting for ovulation. Yesterday (cd20) I had a fair bit of left ovary twinges and a lil fertile cm so that got me a bit excited its coming or trying. Did some easy@home opks yesterday which finally arrived in the post, I must say I prefer them to the others I had. Hoping to update with a + today or tomorrow.

@topsecret99 wishing you better soon 🙂 I got the opks from ebay 25 for £11 odd I think from the top of my head. Just search easy at home ovulation tests 😬 thank you lovely I will update!! X

Opks still not reached fully positive yet. Its rather frustrating now I'm CD22, I also had a temp rise this morning which I'm guessing is a failed o attempt or something - I've been crampy for a few days now sometimes quite niggly pains on my ovaries, a tiny amount of fertile cm too and SHOW cervix. Hoping it's coming soon and it's not a failed cycle 🙏 todays opk taken at 10am was pretty dark but im losing hope here 😬

@topsecret99 not at all - 😊 the line closest to the blue handle is the control line and the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line for it to be positive (hope that makes sense) not had any positive as of yet, temp also dropped right back down this morning which I thought would happen. Fingers crossed I ovulate soon or its unlikely going to happen 😬 how are you doing?

@user6669 I hear you! CD20 and all my OPKs are like your CD20 8pm one..I don't think it's gonna happen this round and does feel like a time waster. after 2 yrs TTC with huge long cycles I was hoping to see something on an OPK!

It sucks doesn't it? Every time I see a near dark opk I'm thinking yup this is it!! - bloody things 🤦🏻‍♀️😬 just took one just now for today its still dark but not positive grr. I get you! Keep going (I have ovulated this late before if that gives you any hope) I'm passing my latest OV so feeling very sad it may not happen right now...

Cd23 today an the first opk I've used today. So frustrating it's so dark but not yet positive - wish me luck for later pleaseee. Lol

Well girls, my ttw is over and I'm now 1 day late. I do not want to get my hopes up as I really don't think we were successful this month. I felt completely different to last month, hardly any symptoms but just have sore boobs a little bit and a little soreness in my head, that's all. I know i haven't been drinking enough these past few days so that would explain the headache. I'd say AF will arrive soon though

@EMM01 oh my...! Good to try not to get your hopes up but hard at the same time! When are you going to do a test?

I think I'm 13dpo and did a test this morning as I can't be bothered with the stress of it this month and I have been feeling under the weather. It's a BFN tho which is but I wasn't expecting anything less!!

May stop using opks as their confusing me. I've had a few that have become positive after 20mins (still fresh but after the time frame of course) yesterday had real close opk and this morning a postive (as dark not darker) it wasn't FMU so not sure if that matters. I remember why I hated opks so much 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

My temp jumped back up today, so that's also baffled me I'm usually spot on figuring out my charts with so many years experience doing bbt.

I had a few days of ovary pain, especially on my left side. Yesterday I had some quick sharp left ovary tenderness and a fullness feeling down there too. Achy ovaries etc.

I still have no idea if I'm going to O or have Od already or what. Il update again when I figure out what's happening 🤦🏻‍♀️

Have you tried the clearblue ones? I know more expensive but sounds like they are a lot easier to read? Obvs too late for this cycle but maybe for next?

@TheDaydreamBelievers & @topsecret99 we have covered bases and we will continue to do so just in case 😂

I've not used clearblue ones before usually just the strips, and I know in the past I have ovulated without a + opk but its just doing my head in and wished I never started them and just stuck with temps lol i do have elevated LH anyway because of PCOS.

I've felt less crampy today, but still felt some niggles. Did an opk when I got home which was defo not positive.....Girls it's stressing me out 😬 but I can update if my temp stays up and shows a shift to confirm ovulation, thankfully and hopefully is does!!

AF is due for me tomorrow, I think she's on her way as I have the usual feels. Also did a FRER last Saturday which was negative so I could have a couple guilt free drinks at a wedding. Gutted for another cycle that it hasn't happened. On to round 3 of Clomid and now just wondering what's next after that?

Bloods today (CD21) showed no ovulation. not surprised. They will repeat bloods on CD28 but that'll be a no too. It'll need a bigger dose I think.

I did a test the other day (a 4 days early one) and it was negative. So obviously I didn't ovulate this month and am late now until god knows when, back to the usual PCOS guessing game. I'm going to do another test and ring my doctor in the morning for some advice and to see if I can get more testing, as they've offered me no more tracking, and I've read your body can respond well and then get resistant to clomid, so that's probably happened me. Sorry for the rant but I'm so annoyed now, been trying for sooo long for us to just have 1 baby, and I finally thought I had found something that'll work, and now it hasn't and I'm left with no medical tracking... don't know if I should increase for next month or what
