Here we go! Thread 14 for the nicest bunch of women on Mumsnet

Thread 13 was very joyful and very painful for me, but what it has shown me is that even old warhorses like me can get lucky, so there's no excuse for all you nubile young honies not to deliver the goods! Come on now, Mama Hester expects you to do your duty by your fellow ttc-ers

Get ready now, 1 - 2 - 3, GO!!!

Hi folks, not posted on here for so long that you have probably forgotten who I am! I'm ttc no. 3 and am on my 3rd cycle, and as of today I am 3 days late for AF! DH is away atm so I am going to see if he minds me testing when he's not there to look too - however I'm not sure I could wait until next Friday to test! Certainly don't feel AF-y IYKWIM, no aching pelvis, but I have got v. tender boobs and I can't stop eating onions!!! Will ring DH later today and if he is ok about it I will test tomorrow am. Wish me luck.

munnzieb · 28/11/2004 10:37

good luck, fingers crossed - onions...... (pickles I take it, and not plain onld raw ones??)

Miaou · 28/11/2004 10:39

oooh no munnzieb - am afraid it is raw onions (am still putting them in sandwiches with cheese or tuna just now, although I think I may graduate to sliced onion tout seule at this rate....)

munnzieb · 28/11/2004 10:47

sorry miaou but UUUUUUUUUUUUUUURGGGGGGGGGG! lol, I only eat them really well done in foods so I can't tell ie/ spag bol or cott. pie, otherwise is the little sliver skins for me! lol.

Miaou · 28/11/2004 10:50

I know what you mean munnzieb, before last week I didn't really like raw onions - if I'm not PG then God knows what's going on!!

BeckiF · 28/11/2004 11:28

Last night when I went to bed I noticed that when laying on my left side I had an uncomfortable sort of pulling senstation. Still trying to will myself pregnant but will just have to waitit out.....

munnzieb · 28/11/2004 11:34

i'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo depressed now, (i'm cleaning my clothes cupboard) and half or it doesn't fit, the other half has my love handles hanging out every where and it's not like i'm bursting with confidence anyways. (don't like the daringly young looking clothes.... not with my figure any ways) so shall i a) do a bridget jones style diet, or wait till I concieve and then loose weight afterwards, or just do nothing all round? def go to work on these hips and mid drift anyways.

Sorry girls just had to vent that. Right...... compose self again...... back into finish the rest off

munnzieb · 28/11/2004 11:34

fingers crossed for you becki

BeckiF · 28/11/2004 11:57

Munnzie, you have to do what's right for you! I'm a sizeable gal (shop at Evans, Ann Harvey etc.) and it is only recently that I have become comfortale with my size, helped by the fact dp adores me and finds me ever so sxy! Nothing to stop you starting a healthy eating plan and upping your excercise if that's how you feel. I'd get Christmas out the way, enjoy the festive season and then start 2005 with a new set of goals.

Slink · 28/11/2004 13:06

Can we start a no 15 now i have just got AF thats it really need to go and eat ALL of the choc chip cakes just made with dd.

jeddah · 28/11/2004 13:47

Beckif where you born in liverpool??

I was born in Kensington (Kenny!)
Munnzieb... head not so bad but very tired...dh gone to buy a new printer as ours has just died..so I am off to bed for an hour!

Just wanted to say......I am so glad you are all around!.....what great support!

BeckiF · 28/11/2004 13:49

No Jeddah I'm a southerner born and bred. Made the choice to move up here 3 years ago as dp is from merseyside. Where are you living now?

As for starting a new thread I'd really like to keep on this one until I test or af comes along....it'll be a few weeks yet, but I understand if you do want a new one, this one is getting longer.

Sallie · 28/11/2004 14:11

Hi everyone hope you are all having a good weekend. Don't usually log on at the weekend but dh is on call and the kids are asleep (for the moment anyway!). I am now on cd 16 and got a big fat 'o' from my persona today which is 4 days earlier than last month - taking this as a good sign, that my body is settling down after the m/c. Anyway, rather preoccupied at the moment by having a rather large teenage crush on the Rob Lake character in Bodies (BBC2 Wednesdays). Hmmmm - she dreams away!!!

munnzieb · 28/11/2004 14:53

oooh becki, a fellow southerner eh?? where from, i'm a pompey lass born and bread, however, I did manage to marry a northerner he's from Bradford, but we don't hold that against him in our house! he he besides he want's to move to teh south once he' s out of the Amry.

BeckiF · 28/11/2004 15:00

Hi Munnzie - I was born in Middlesex, moved to hertfordshire, then to sussex, then to hertfordshire, then to bedfordshire! So many 'shires'!

misdee · 28/11/2004 15:02

beckiF, was wondering if your still about, how is the treatment etc going? have u started yet?

Hulababy · 28/11/2004 15:12

Hi all. Had a fab weekend Just finished clearing up, and feeling very full of food and drink - not sure the WW was adhered too at all for the past two days! Never mind. CD27 here so AF must be due tomorrow (had been 27 and 28 day long cycles so far), so time for a new month to start and hopefully FF will find that I did OV next month.
