Here we go! Thread 14 for the nicest bunch of women on Mumsnet

Thread 13 was very joyful and very painful for me, but what it has shown me is that even old warhorses like me can get lucky, so there's no excuse for all you nubile young honies not to deliver the goods! Come on now, Mama Hester expects you to do your duty by your fellow ttc-ers

Get ready now, 1 - 2 - 3, GO!!!

qeeewi i'm awake tania.

Fingers crossed tonights ur night becki! he he.

colinsmommy · 24/11/2004 21:07

Hi Tania. I won't be asleep for another 9 hours at least. Thanks for the welcome yesterday, and don't worry I won't be shocked. Although, can't say the same for DH. When I told him about CM, he just made a face and told me that he didn't need to know that. What a great thread to find, I know other people out there are going through what I am, but in RL, everyone I know is pregnant, so don't have anyone to talk to about getting pregnant.

Tania2 · 24/11/2004 21:15

Twiga (((hugs)))) We all will be here for you to shed some tears when March comes around. A friend of mine is ttc after having an atopic 2 months ago (wasnt ttc then either just happened) i told her yesterday if she gets pg b4 me iam sorry now if i cry when she tells me but i will be truley happy for her. Really dreading it though.
Bella best of luck hope af doesnt arrive.
moschops i hope its pg hormones driving you crazy fingers crossed
Hester all those ttc coments are so true but you know what why do people that have been ttc for a while come out with those coments after they have proberly hated having them told to them when they were ttc?????
Jeddah When i get the photos developed i will try and cat them to you it was just so cute.

munnzieb · 24/11/2004 21:17

you know what I hate about ppl making the TTC coments, they always say it when ur feeling down already about it.

Have just been chatting to a friend about it, and it's not good, in RL I can't talk about it any more as it's makes things worse!

Tania2 · 25/11/2004 09:10

Hello Ladies
Thought I would share my madness. Well AF due today, hasn't made an appearance yet and therefore am getting myself worked up in a right frenzy praying that it won't come! Have all the symptoms for AF so know it is on its way - but can't help being obsessed about it anyway!
Am at work but am literally popping to the loo every 5 mins to the point my colleague just asked if I had cystitus !!
Really am impatient !
How is everyone today?

Tania2 · 25/11/2004 12:20

Bella fingers crossed for you. You must be doing your head in...make sure you dont wear white pants...its bound to arrive then

moschops · 25/11/2004 12:25

bugger! wrote a really long message then deleted it by accident!!

tested this morning BFN which i was expecting anyway. just hope i don't have another 80 day cycle. my doctor assured me i would settle into some sort of normal routine. i can't go back to her till March so i will just have to persevere.

the gig last night was awesome, just the tonic i needed!! am going to put The Darkness on really loud and dance round my living room like a woman possessed!

pooka · 25/11/2004 12:29

Succumbed to am i aren't i frenzy and tested. BFN Just don't know why I've been feeling so rough and really annoyed that my cycle seems to be all over the place. Tried OPK last month, and didn't get any surge showing around the middle of the month, so can only assume that am ovulating (if I am) really early or late on. B**R. Suppose this month had better "knuckle under" and bdance all way through. NOT very romantic and if I'm tired now......!

Tania2 · 25/11/2004 12:30

Sorry for the BFN moschops sounds like you are up for some fun ahead...you live it up girl.
Good night everyone its 11:30pm here think i might try to bd tonight.

Tania2 · 25/11/2004 12:31

pooka

pooka · 25/11/2004 12:37

Tania2. Good luck!
I'm off for a well-earned afternoon nap (if dd cooperates by sleeping)

Tania2 · 25/11/2004 12:37

Ok so iam starting to get a dull ache in my lower tummy could this be ov pain or have i just eaten to much junk over the past few days?????
Good night for the last time.

Twiga · 25/11/2004 12:47

Moschops and Pooka.

Moschops, glad you enjoyed your concert, sounds like an ace combination!

CD2, feeling less sick and crampy today thank goodness. Have put dh in charge of things this month, we've marked dates on computer calender and he's going to do the worrying this month.

pooka · 25/11/2004 14:02

Can't nap - feeling really stupid for getting so excited and have FAR too much cleaning to do. Have jsut discovered that we have a MOUSE! AAaargh. OUr killer cat must have brought it in and failed to off it so it appears to be living behind the dishwasher. Waiting for dd to wake up so we can go and find a place that sells humane mousetraps. Also our kittens have FLEAS. Not really painting a pretty picture about the state of our house, am I?!

Bella23 · 25/11/2004 14:50

Apologies as still in self obsessed mode of waiting for AF to arrive!
If my AF was due today when is the earliest I can do a test?

ernest · 25/11/2004 15:02

hi bella -I think you can test from today, but as other have said, you should try & do it about 14 days post ov. hth

no news from me - still no af - 1 week late now. must still be all over the place after giving up mini pill, but am genuinely surprised.

hope you're all well

Bella23 · 25/11/2004 15:08

I was going to try and hold off until Saturday so that I am at least 2 days late.
May be put in a straight jacket by then though as am desperate to test!

kizzy212 · 25/11/2004 15:48

hi all!

i have just tried to read the thread, it has grown so much since this morning.

congratulations to all that have good news. also big welcome to new posters.

well i am still going at it like rabbits as they say. ovualtion this sunday i think. so please im catching every bit of dust thats threw my way.

sorry to hear bad news hester, i know youve proberley heard it so much now, but i was unware till reading just (as i am new yesturday to thread).

munnzieb · 25/11/2004 17:06

afternoon ladies, how was evey one's day today?

ernest - have you tested yet hon?

becki - You have more will power than me not to test !

nothing to report this end, apart from am hoping DH sends me some flowers again this month!, Oh and i'm feeling particually broody today..... is that normal around the time of AF? - the old witch is due in 5 days.

hester · 25/11/2004 17:07

Thanks so much, kizzy. Yes, everyone on here has been lovely to me, but tbh it still hurts loads and it's lovely to have you thinking of me

pooka - so sorry. But it ain't over till the fat lady...

Bella - if I were you I'd test now, or at least tomorrow morning. Not that I'm advising that necessarily, and I'm sure patience is a virtue, but by the due date I always reckon that a BFN will at least stop me going crazy tormenting myself, and a BFP - well, that of course would be lovely! Good luck
