Here we go! Thread 14 for the nicest bunch of women on Mumsnet

Thread 13 was very joyful and very painful for me, but what it has shown me is that even old warhorses like me can get lucky, so there's no excuse for all you nubile young honies not to deliver the goods! Come on now, Mama Hester expects you to do your duty by your fellow ttc-ers

Get ready now, 1 - 2 - 3, GO!!!

I was asking about you hester....but would of course love to hear from ttoks too!

I know what you mena about the grief. It was only 23 months for me with ds but I remember being in total agony (and I haven't been so unfortunate as to m/c)...no-one understood and there was nothing anyone could say. I almost lost my faith (ministers wife looses faith....!!) but alas somehow I got thru it. During that time i posted on another site...I must say that here on mumsnet the community is much more personal..and that we share our emotions more freely. Even now (on cycle 3) I remember how I felt and I am so scared that we will go through that again. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, ever.

Being a mummy is a wonderful thing (and I sometimes feel i am being selfsih for wanting another child) and I hope and pray that everyone here get's to know that experience for themselves.

I have a question for anyone that has had there dh/dp sperm tested. the form says that he cant have a release for no less than 2 days and no more than 5. i dont want him to waste it IYKWIM and he has to have the test done and results back b4 my op on the 15th of Dec. Iam on CD9 and iam meant to be ov but i dont think iam i have a 24 to 27 day cycle. hope this all makes sence?????

geordie · 23/11/2004 13:55

Tania keep bding up to cd 14....you should have ov by then...then dh can have a few days rest and the test can be done then...you should have it in for the beginning of december and results should take 10 days max!

hth

Have just read through most of this thread, after having not posted since ttc 10, we moved house and kinda gave up for a bit, the charting and stuff, it was getting me down...
We have had massive tummy bug through the house and dd 2 has been puking for about a month, well today I realised I was 8 days overdue, tested and
BFP...
Am slightly stunned, mostly wondering when, as we have been so tired, the last few weeks!!!
OMG...
Good luck to everyone else still trying, do not give up, this was 14 mths in the frying pan....
Wow, still shocked...
lots of love piff

Hulababy · 23/11/2004 14:33

Congratulations Wilbur Just what this thread needs right now

Thanks Geordie - I'll try that. I don't know much about the Persona have to say. Is it pretty reliable? How does it work?

RudyDudy · 23/11/2004 14:34

Big hugs and well done!!!!

MrsFogi · 23/11/2004 15:23

Welcome back Piffolofagus, I remember you from ttc10 (although I might have had my old name back then).

Twiga · 23/11/2004 15:54

Huge congratulations to Wilbur and Piffle, enjoy the next the nine months x

Tania, great solution to the whole cake thing, and fun to have a secret with dh too, hope the party goes well tomorrow.

CD28 here, not much sign of af, feeling a bit crampy but also keep feeling pukey too, particularly after I eat - not trying to think about things too much don't realy think it's my month and have ages to go before I would think about testing - with having had 37 day cycles after mc, can't really think about testing before CD38 or can I?

ernest · 23/11/2004 16:45

hi all - big congrats to wilbur & piff thant's great news.

I tested again & got another bfn. I'm now convinced I'm not pg & feel strangely much calmer & less mental, but curious as to where af might be, as I'm now on cd30/25.

how're you feeling, beckif? and any news from you footstep?
