Hey everyone,
Anyone else just starting their 2WW? I’m only on 3dpo tryint to conceive baby no.2 for me but baby no.1 for DP.
First child from my previous relationship. Since having DC1 I’ve had 2 CPs with ex when we were trying and 1 CP with current partner without trying but just getting carried away using no protection. Now that we’re actively trying I’m a bit nervous about it sticking. Only on cycle 1 of trying so feeling hopeful just impatient!

Xx

I used Clue and Flo. Interested to hear what others use.

PointyMcguire · 02/01/2022 22:08

We took the plunge and bought the CB digital monitor after seeing all the rave reviews. December was our first month using it, so will see in a few days if AF appears.

ECA142 · 02/01/2022 22:28

@HelloNope oh no! I wont tell the fiancé he'll freak! We symptom spot already!

Doodledeedum · 03/01/2022 00:12

@BlueSky57 hey although the apps are good they work on an algorithm as you enter more information and it could be sometimes that you just ovulate at a random time - better to have BBT or CM to use with it x I'd hate to think I'd miss my chance if I go by just an app and miss my chances

ArrrMeHearties · 03/01/2022 00:53

doodlededum sorry for your loss too. We are indeed warriors and we will get our bfps soon enough I'm sure. I'm due to get ds's post mortem results next again week so that will be a hard day then his due date. I promised ds1 he will be a big brother and I will stick to it no matter what

CSR721 · 03/01/2022 10:04

@BlueSky57

Hang in there everyone! Flowers

Just wondering, which app (if any) do you use and find best/most accurate? I downloaded a few to try but many have different ovulation predictions etc so wondering if you’ve found some to be more reliable than others?

I've been using both natural cycles and fertility friend, tracking bbt however this month I decided not to track anything as I found I was getting a bit obsessive and I don't think the anxiety was helping!
Em2210 · 03/01/2022 10:18

I use natural cycles just for my bbt so I know where I am in my cycle. As I’m quite regular me and partner just dtd a lot around the predicted time but I also track my cm so I know when ovulation approaching. Although I definitely get a bit obsessed with it!

Morning all! still NADA! start a new job tomorrow and have to be up very early. I hope I'm too stressed and rushed to test again. Doing my own head in now.

ECA142 · 03/01/2022 11:22

@Doodledeedum

Sending positive vibes. Good luck in the new job!

BlueForYou3 · 03/01/2022 12:03

@BlueSky57 I can recommend Ovusense if you’re looking to track ovulation. I know there’s mixed opinions on tracking BBT but personally it’s made me feel a lot less anxious as it confirms exactly when I ovulated and I know we’ve given ourselves the best chance each month in terms of DTD. I got my first BFP after 6 months of using it and I’ve started using it again after a MMC in November.

@Doodledeedum Sorry to hear about the BFN Sad Hopefully your new job will be a welcome distraction over the next few days.

I’m currently 7dpo and trying my hardest not to test too early. I’m going to hold off till Friday if I can …

Flibbyjibby · 03/01/2022 12:23

So either 9 or 10 dpo today. I was cheeky yesterday and did a frer again (no stopping me once I get started) which I was sure showed a faint line, but it was a total squinter. I remember this from last time I was pg…

So I went out to shops and bought another test today. Did it when I got back and a faint but clearer line showed up (pic attached).

Appreciate that some might not be able to see it and that it’s still early, but I’m feeling positive this might be my bfp. Got an Amazon delivery with more tests tomorrow so hope the line gets darker!!

As comparison, this is my positive 10dpo test from my last pregnancy.

ECA142 · 03/01/2022 12:44

@Flibbyjibby

They look very similar! Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Seeing all these pics and hearing of everyone testing is definitely getting to me!
I'll be 11dpo on Saturday so I might have to give in then. I'm so glad I go back to work tomorrow so I have other things to focus on. Although I have a new baby to look after who is 7months old so that'll be making me even more baby crazy!

BlueForYou3 · 03/01/2022 14:35

I can see a line @Flibbyjibby Grin Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it gets darker over the next few days!

Doodledeedum · 03/01/2022 14:44

@Flibbyjibby I can see a line! i mean I take any line as a positive 🤷🏽‍♀️ 😂 how exciting! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Shiny88 · 03/01/2022 15:26

@Doodledeedum oh really? When is AF due? Good luck with your new job!!

@Flibbyjibby I can see a very very faint line so 🤞🏼.

@ECA142 well done for holding off! It's bloody hard too isn't it!!!

My period is 3 days late and I'm still holding off from testing, I think I'm scared that if it's a positive and getting excited there's the possibility of loosing it again x

Doodledeedum · 03/01/2022 16:07

@Shiny88 awwww It's so hard isn't it? I said to my partner - that you want to be happy and excited and even put out positive vibes and the you also what to protect yourself ... I hope it is a positive and think positive- we do this because we must believe it will workout! Don't we? Thanks- il need all the luck I can get.

Now with when I'm due, I count I'm due Saturday 8th and so does my health app ( iPhone) BUT countdown to pregnancy app says Sunday?!

user00119922 · 03/01/2022 16:29

BFP for me. I'm very shocked after having a Fallopian tube removed earlier this year due to ectopic.
Haven't told DH yet. Too anxious after 3x losses. Fingers crossed all goes well 🤞

user00119922 · 03/01/2022 16:29

Also has anyone else experienced period pains before their BFP? I was confident af was coming, is this a bad sign?

Shiny88 · 03/01/2022 16:57

@Doodledeedum it is hard and we do do these things to protect ourselves don't we! Yes like they say everything happens for a reason and everything will be ok in the end. Although it's blinking difficult when your in the moment!
Oh so you have a few days before Af is due so fingers crossed you will get that BFP! X

@user00119922 congratulations!! I'm so happy for you! Mild period cramps I'm pretty sure are normal in early pregnancy xx

Doodledeedum · 03/01/2022 17:29

@user00119922 omg this is fantastic news!
I'm so so sorry for your previous losses. I had period pains after/around the time I first fell pregnant both times. My MCs didn't happen till way after so I don't think they were linked. In fact my second I had pains and cramps so strong I thought it was entirely over!! But it wasn't. I think it's all normal and I imagined they were just burrowing deep in there 😉 x come on sticky bean! X

user00119922 · 03/01/2022 17:36

@Doodledeedum aw thank you so much for the reassurance! I'm praying for a sticky bean!
Going to ring the doctors first thing tomorrow morning to arrange early scan as I'm high risk due to previous ectopic x

Flibbyjibby · 03/01/2022 17:54

Thanks everyone! I had my COVID booster today and they asked if there was a possibility I might be pregnant. Told them there was and they had to call someone over to go through a tick list of things about how the vaccine is safe in pregnancy… I will feel very silly if I’m not actually pregnant!

Congratulations @user00119922!! I am so happy for you ❤️❤️

BlueForYou3 · 03/01/2022 21:11

Congratulations @user00119922 Grin Lovely to see some BFP’s on this thread x

Shiny88 · 04/01/2022 08:40

AF has reared its ugly head this morning and I'm feeling completely deflated.
In the back of my head i was starting to think I was pregnant as my period is never late and I was 3 days late 🥲.

Here's to the next cycle trying!

Does anyone use the ovulation tests?
How do they work?
