Congratulations @newtolineofduty how exciting for you! 💕

@hoola23 I found out with DD, I was desperate to know but I do think I might not find out if I ever have a second one!

hoola23 · 05/01/2022 23:10

@MrsRosaline it's so hard to know what to do. I want to know but then when I know I will wish I didn't 🤣🤣🤣

Congratulations @newtolineofduty !! How lovely to have one of each 🙂🙂 I know what you meant about throwing away the clothes - we've kept everything and in a way I think I'll find it hard throwing away certain things if we have a boy. Weird how you become so sentimental! ❤️❤️

@MrsRosaline if it's any consolation we literally DTD about 4 times - CD 9, CD10 and then like a week later when I went straight to peak we DTD on the Sunday and the Monday and that was it.

@hoola23 I only found out with DD because my husband HATES waiting and HATES surprises. So since we found out with the first one, he wants to know with the second 😂😂

MrsRosaline · 06/01/2022 09:59

@CShandy01 @newtolineofduty I started to sell some of DD's clothes when she outgrew them and I found it too painful I cancelled all the listings 🤦🏻‍♀️😄

Do you know what day you ovulated @CShandy01? I'm on day 7, and will start with the clearblue OPKS in a few days. I'm not bothering with my Mira or tracking BBT this month.

@hoola23 I would love another girl!

hoola23 · 06/01/2022 10:22

@MrsRosaline @CShandy01
My husband is desperate to know too but mainly cos he has two girls so is set on a boy 🤣 ive told him he's done this twice before so I get my way in pretty much everything 🤣🤣

Thank you everyone! Here he is! He was playing with his Willy in the scan!!!!!! 😂😂😂

CShandy01 · 06/01/2022 10:52

@newtolineofduty bahahahaha typical boy then 😂😂😂😂 that proper made me giggle.

@MrsRosaline I ovulated a lot later for this time because of the chemical I had. So I usually ovulate anywhere between CD11 and CD16, but this time round I ovulated on CD19.

@hoola23 that's a very good point - you make sure you get all the firsts in!! They're so important and it's weird how you actually forget how amazing it is to hear the heartbeat for the first time, or see the first scan etc.

hoola23 · 06/01/2022 11:50

@newtolineofduty omg!! It's so amazing to see the 3D scans- they make it so much more real!!
He looks so comfy in there!!

I've got another scan on Monday and immune will still look like a blob so I can't wait to look and see an actual baby on the screen 🤣

Aims1991 · 06/01/2022 12:18

@newtolineofduty congrats that's amazing! I'm convinced I'm having a boy and OH is convinced it's a girl🙈
@hoola23 I'm desperate to book another scan but OH is saying to wait🙄
I have my booking appointment on Wednesday but still not sign of scan appointment yet🙈

CShandy01 · 06/01/2022 12:48

@Aims1991 @hoola23 I'm still waiting for a midwife to get in touch so I can get on their books 😂 at this rate I'll be giving birth by the time someone gets back in touch!

hoola23 · 06/01/2022 13:07

@Aims1991 I'll be 11 weeks at my booking appt, hopefully my 12 week scan will be shortly after

@CShandy01 they really don't seem to be interested u til your at least 10 weeks really!

OP posts:
Aims1991 · 06/01/2022 13:20

@CShandy01 I spoke to my midwife before Christmas for first app. That's crazy how everyone's different in different areas.
How far are you @hoola23 @CShandy01

hoola23 · 06/01/2022 13:31

@Aims1991 I'm around 9 weeks tomo I think. Yeah it really varies depending where you are. However, I've been very impressed so far with the support from epu and the midwife advice line we have.

OP posts:
newtolineofduty · 06/01/2022 14:21

Aww @Aims1991 yes that's frustrating but they allow up to 14 weeks for that scan so plenty of time and then at least you don't have as long to wait for the 20 weeks one now.

Counting down to ours now. Just want to know that he's healthy x three weeks today! Can't come soon enough! X

MrsRosaline · 06/01/2022 19:17

@newtolineofduty what an amazing photo! So beautiful and mad that our bodies can do this.

Why do you think you're having a girl @Aims1991??

Weird that your booking in is so late @hoola23. With DD I was 8 weeks, although maybe Covid is pushing everything back...

hoola23 · 07/01/2022 11:07

@MrsRosaline probably! Along with everything else!!

Having a bit of a mild panic today. Have some more pink spotting and period pain with it really low down. I wouldn't say it's period pains but more like a central stabbing type pain. Mild at the moment though. Combined with the lack of sickness/nausea how worried should I be? I have a follow up scan on Monday at EPU- should I call them and bring it forward or am I being a drama queen again?

OP posts:
newtolineofduty · 07/01/2022 11:58

I've had lots of stabby pains @hoola23 I wouldn't be concerned about that at all hun xxx

hoola23 · 07/01/2022 12:10

@newtolineofduty ok, will try and relax!! I'm so terrified that they say there's no heartbeat on Monday- cannot get it out of my head!

OP posts:
MrsRosaline · 07/01/2022 12:38

@hoola23 I had lots of pains. I did phone the midwife who told me it's normal because everything is stretching in there. Some were quite painful, but she reassured me everything is fine. The no heartbeat thing is a constant worry, but there's no reason to think anything is wrong. Every time you see your bean on the screen you relax a bit more.

hoola23 · 07/01/2022 12:42

@MrsRosaline thank you, I'm an anxious person in life normally so being pregnant where I have ZERO control is not good for me 🤣 does it get better as you progress??🥺

OP posts:
MrsRosaline · 07/01/2022 13:14

@hoola23 you sound like me! Yes I am a very anxious person. Once you start physically feeling the baby move around it gets a lot better because you know they are there and can feel them!

hoola23 · 07/01/2022 13:32

@MrsRosaline I'm glad I'm not alone 🤣🤣 that will defo make me feel better! I just want to fast forward 30 weeks now🤣🤣 so far my review on pregnancy is absolutely horrific! I don't know how people enjoy being pregnant! Getting the BFP has been the best moment so far and that only lasts a few mins!!

OP posts:
Aims1991 · 07/01/2022 18:20

@hoola23 think positive. I get loads of stabby pains, don't last very long. I'm with you I'm so anxious about the No heartbeat! My OH gets annoyed that I'm so negative.

hoola23 · 07/01/2022 19:59

@Aims1991 thanks hun, I'm trying! I think because all my nausea and sickness seems to have disappeared it's worrying me. Boobs are still sore though!

OP posts:
Aims1991 · 07/01/2022 20:17

@hoola23 mines comes and goes. My boobs are easing off. Except when I wake in the night for the toilet that's when I feel the pain. But I try to tell myself everything's normal and all these symptoms come and go
