@hoola23 Hey chick!! I’m all good thanks, how are you doing?? My little boy is now 7 months old and eats like a trooper. Had to wean him at 4 months as he just chugged milk like it was water. I also have realised just how chilled I am with him in terms of food than I was with my little girl (3.5 years old). With her I did everything by the book, with him, well put it this way, he’s had his first taste of cake today and loved it 😂😂 he’s rolling around everywhere and sleeps through the night, so I really can’t complain!!! Xxx

@hoola23 I totally understand as I have mixed feelings when step kids are here too! Certainly when I had my first though I really struggled with them being there as I felt very protective as @CShandy01 has mentioned, like she was mine and no-one else's!!!! Three weeks is a long time so just be kind to yourself no matter what you're feeling x try and do whatever you need to do to look after yourself and if you're craving time alone with him then just head out to a lovely air conditioned coffee shop! X

@newtolineofduty you have no idea how much better your message has made me feel! I was really starting to panic that I had a problem. It's just so overwhelming sometimes and I can't say why I just find myself welling up for no reason! On top of the breast feeding being hard I felt a bit of a failure. I'll keep going with it as long as I can but I've invested in some bottles etc as the back up.

Also the first week home was so intense with visitors every day for a week and then DH girls are now with us for 3 weeks I've found that a bit difficult, like I don't have time to bond with him as much. I feel bad for thinking that as the girls are SO obsessed with him and just want to help all the time. It's actually beautiful to watch them with him.

@hoola23 honestly chick do not put yourself out when it comes to breastfeeding. I had to do it for 4 weeks with DD as she had a tongue tie and they refused to cut it unless she was breastfed as it hindered her latch. And I hardly produced enough to satisfy her, and what I did produce was basically water.

As soon as DS arrived, I said I was combination feeding until I had had enough of breastfeeding. So in hospital I got colostrum and bits and pieces but topped up with formula. I’m pumping twice a day and the rest is formula, and quite frankly, I think that I’m going to stop pumping at the end of next week when he’s 2 weeks old and hubby goes back to work. I won’t be able to keep it up when I’m solo parenting with toddler on board. And quite frankly I have really enjoyed NOT having any pressure. The midwives were lovely and said that you just do whatever you feel is right for you, and the colostrum is the best thing you can give a baby as a first feed anyway.

Expect all manners of hormones to hit you. I was so territorial with DD. Hated people being near DD unless it was hubby. I was like a lioness protecting her cub 😁🤣 xxx

@newtolineofduty yes I am so sorry for the lack of replying! Utterly crap of me!!

Little lad arrived on Friday 5th august at 21:34 weighing 5lbs 13oz. He arrived my a natural delivery with just gas and air. Have to say the whole experience was a lot better than with DD as her birth was quite traumatic due to type 2 dips. I didn’t tear and the healing process has been just so much better. Unfortunately due to an error I wasn't allowed to be discharged until I stayed 2 nights (they got me mixed up with another patient) but I have to say the second time round I had a lot more confidence in my own abilities and I was pretty much left to my own devices 🙂🙂

How is everyone else doing? Hope you’re all keeping well despite the heat! Xxx

@hoola23 it doesn't even sound like baby blues-just 'normal' hormonal stuff! I cried because my washing basket was full! 😂 x I struggled really really with breastfeeding with my first. I couldn't put myself through it this time so straight to formula xx just don't feel bad if he ends up on formula hun x breastfeeding is sooooo hard and no-one prepares you for it! X

Hey all! Sorry I've missed loads of messages!

@MrsRosaline oh I'm so pleased there seems to be an answer on the horizon for you! And I do hope you enjoy the break before the next blood test! Keep us updated xx

@CShandy01 had your little one made their arrival?! Hope everything goes perfectly for you!

@newtolineofduty how are you getting on? I'm getting there! Breast feeding is really challenging me, just feel like my milk never satisfies him so I'm topping up with formula at the moment. He is a pretty easy baby so far aside from the cluster feeding, he only whimpers when he wants a cuddle or a feed- no screaming cries just yet!

My recovery is going well - I just want them to check my scar a I've found a tiny flap of skin that's almost sticking out which is weird!

My emotions have been all over the place over the last few days - uncontrollable crying for no real reason and just super sensitive. I feel a little better today but I'm hoping this is just baby blues and not the start of something else

Eek @CShandy01 how exciting! Wishing you all the best for a smooth Induction!

@MrsRosaline yes I'd be feeling positive if I were you too! You've discovered the most likely cause which is easy to treat and you get to take a few months off TTC which is no bad thing at all!!!!!! X

@hoola23 huge congratulations chick! So pleased everything went well for you in the end and you had a positive experience 🙂🙂 healthy and happy mummy and baby are always the best end result!

@MrsRosaline I’m so pleased that it sounds easy to treat! And the fact that it stops implantation as well - I bet it’s just nice to have some answers and to feel more in control of a situation where no one really has any control of in the first place!

I’m have an induction tomorrow as they’re worried about the size of nugget. My DD was only 6lbs 8oz and she was 40+5, so they think it’s just best to get him out before his weight flattens out. Had a sweep last week and I was 2cm dilated already and 1cm left until fully effaced, so they’ve said the only thing they can do for induction is breaking my waters. Hoping tomorrow I’m 3-4cm dilated by the time I go in. Would be further than I got with DD so that’s a bonus 😂😂 hoping he’ll have jumped over the 6lbs mark as he was estimated 5lb 13oz at 37+2. I think I just have small kids to be honest! Xxx

@newtolineofduty yes that's it. Most women aren't diagnosed with this condition until they have had a string of repeated miscarriages. He said they don't often find it but when they do it's almost certainly the cause.

I do need the second blood test to confirm, so if it comes back positive then that will explain it. If it comes back negative then the miscarriages will remain a mystery 😕🤷🏻‍♀️

He only phoned a few weeks ago so it will be October at least before we get any answers. But I am enjoying the break from worrying about every tiny thing - "Will this affect a pregnancy?" - "When am I ovulating" etc etc. I feel good about everything surprisingly.

@MrsRosaline in that case it's fantastic news!!!!!!! I think I remember reading women who've had repeated miscarriages have often been put on aspirin but I've never known why so I wonder if that's the reason?! X

@newtolineofduty yes 100% it stops successful implantation!

@MrsRosaline agh did they say that could affect fertility or anything? If so that's great if it's easy to treat X

@LittleDoveLove my luteal phase is 11 days. Period always comes at 12DPO. I have been taking B6 from wild nutrition... I'm not sure it's made much difference.

@hoola23 congratulations! So so so pleased for you. Just soak it all up.

@newtolineofduty I'm ok. I've been told to pause TTC as one of my blood tests was positive for APS or "sticky blood" so I need another one in 12 weeks to confirm. It's an easy fix - I'd need to take aspirin or another blood thinner to maintain a pregnancy. TTC no2 has become a very very long journey ...

I was wondering was it on this thread someone mentioned taking B6? I think my luteal phase is short so looking to lengthen it. X
