@Aims1991 pale pink and brown is all good x it's just bright bright red that's a little more worrying, so you're ok x

Aims1991 · 19/12/2021 20:02

@newtolineofduty thank you. Just panicked earlier 🥺

newtolineofduty · 19/12/2021 20:15

Totally understandable @Aims1991 x I ended up booking another reassurance scan at 9 weeks to help cope with my anxiety! X

MrsRosaline · 20/12/2021 07:32

@Aims1991 was it an internal scan? I think you can sometimes spot a tiny bit after.

@hoola23 @newtolineofduty I think I am now 1DPO! Wish me luck! 🤞🏻

hoola23 · 20/12/2021 10:08

@MrsRosaline got everything crossed for you lovely! X

@MrsRosaline no an external scan. Got a tiny bit more this morning. It's not even red or pink it's like rose gold🤣

hoola23 · 20/12/2021 10:13

Sorry for a very negative post but I'm just really struggling. The nausea and sickness is just all too much for me it's making me feel depressed. I can barely do anything without needing to sit or lie down to the point that it's making me have negative feelings towards being pregnant which is actually heartbreaking. I feel sick 24/7 and the only thing that makes me feel marginally better is if I'm lying down in bed. I'm an active person usually and always cleaning or doing something and I just feel so hopeless and useless. I'm terrified of this not getting better and the impact on my mental health. I don't want to do anything go anywhere and I can barely find the energy to even shower! 😭😭😭

@hoola23 have you spoken to your midwife about this chick? You could have hyperemesis gravidarum (think that's how you spell it). You can get medication for it when it's really bad. Have you tried eating ginger biscuits as well? Those really helped with my sickness when I had a sudden turn. I can't really suggest anything else chick as I didn't have it that bad before: bless, I'm so sorry you're feeling rotten ❤️ xxx

newtolineofduty · 20/12/2021 10:58

@Aims1991 ooh fancy! 😂

@MrsRosaline crossing everything xx

hoola23 · 20/12/2021 11:00

@CShandy01 I don't even have a midwife yet! Haven't booked the pregnancy as I was going to wait for my scan on Thursday to make sure everything was ok and then book the pregnancy. I've tried everything now! Literally nothing helps apart from lying down. I don't know what's normal or not with sickness and nausea in pregnancy so I hope im not being a drama queen but I basically feel like im going to throw up 24/7 - there is no relief!

Hello everyone! First cycle of ttc no2. I'd almost forgotten how long and stressful each month can be. It really is the not knowing isn't it? My periods are pretty much always 27 or 28 days. Have been tracking for about a year and they all have different ov dates! Dtd a few times but won't truly be in me fertile week according to all apps until now. Just hoping DH get some time to ourselves. 🤞

Aims1991 · 20/12/2021 11:22

@newtolineofduty I wish I was as positive about it🤣 I'm trying not to worry because it's hardly anything. But can't help myself 🙈

CShandy01 · 20/12/2021 12:01

@hoola23 I would maybe phone your GP and ask to speak to a midwife. It's things like this they need to know as it can impact growth of little one etc. it's also nice just to get some advice from people who know what they're doing 🙂🙂 even if you don't register the pregnancy, just having a chat with someone might help? I'm so sorry I'm crap at advice for this as I never experienced morning sickness that badly with DD, just threw up every morning for 10 weeks but I was mobile xx

MrsRosaline · 20/12/2021 12:54

Hi @hoola23 that was me 24/7. I ended up admitted to hospital. Speak to your GP urgently and see if they can prescribe you anti sickness like cyclizine or something. It may help x

jadew88 · 20/12/2021 13:00

Hi ladies!

TTC #1, cycle 1.

15dpo now, probably just symptoms spotting, however I have had really sore, heavy boobs for around a week. Had a couple of days of random waves of nausea. Abdominal cramping which I very rarely get with AF. AF due any time between yesterday and Wednesday. Started with some light bleeding yesterday that has continued but stayed light. Like a light period. If this was AF it would normally be much heavier by now. Also woke in the middle of the night last night with terrible sweats!

Tested every couple of days with BFNs including this morning.

Do we just think this is a lighter than normal AF and I'm just symptom spotting?

hoola23 · 20/12/2021 13:11

@MrsRosaline did yours ever subside? I have no understanding if this is normal and I should just suck it up or if I need some help with it. I have to force myself to shower and get up. The thought of food is repulsive but I am keeping food down but only stuff I can grab as I don't have the energy to even make a sandwich. It's extreme fatigue and the nausea more than the vomiting. I feel so depressed about it all. Do you think this is normal? I've called my gp but
They said they're too busy to deal with it today!

I'm sorry to say that I felt sick/was being sick right up until the moment I gave birth @hoola23. However that is not the experience of everyone and loads of women feel better by the second trimester. How many weeks are you?

hoola23 · 20/12/2021 16:30

@MrsRosaline oh no!! How did you actually cope with that? I called the midwife advice line abs spoke to a midwife who was so lovely I just ended up bursting into tears. She says it's prob HG and advised me coming in for IV fluids. I really don't want to be going into hospital right now and I don't think I'm dehydrated as I can sip water in small amounts. Just waiting for a prescription now for anti sickness pills. X

Hey @hoola23. It was really hard but I just had to take one day at a time... some days were better than others. It's why DD is four and an only child at the moment!! The cyclizine took the edge off it, although it did make me sleepy. I don't think you need to go to hospital unless you literally can't keep anything down. Hopefully it passes for you! I also didn't worry about what I was eating: literally whatever I could stomach (usually plain bread) I just ate that.

hoola23 · 20/12/2021 19:16

@MrsRosaline I don't blame you!! I think they were worried as I've only managed to eat a few crackers and slices of toast for four days now and my urine is super dark. I am trying to drink but as soon as I do I burp and that often turns into vomit. So gross! Just so fed up I've been crying all day and I feel awful for a having such negative views towards the pregnancy now. I feel like such a selfish horrible person!

OP posts:
MrsRosaline · 20/12/2021 19:26

@hoola23 You are not selfish and the bleakness that is HG can lead to some dark thoughts. I used to wake up and wish I would miscarry I was so sick. There were lots of tears. You're human and the endless sickness is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. Hopefully the medicine will help. When will you have it?

hoola23 · 20/12/2021 20:08

@MrsRosaline I'm so glad you said that because those are genuinely the thoughts I have and this baby is SO wanted but I cannot do this for another 7.5 months! I'm picking them up first thing but they said they might not work but there are lots of other to try so will just need to keep trying I guess. Thank you for all your advice, I will just need to push through. I'm tempted to sign off work but I think if im off and just lying in bed it will be worse as it will be all I think about!

OP posts:
MrsRosaline · 20/12/2021 20:13

@hoola23 on the day I was admitted to hospital I was begging them to give me an abortion, honestly I know how awful it feels. The pregnancy was very much wanted but the sickness was unreal. I love DD more than anything, and obviously the staff knew I just needed to feel better, even briefly. What did they prescribe you? If it doesn't work there are other things. You basically cycle through the ladder until you find something that helps.

hoola23 · 20/12/2021 20:25

@MrsRosaline bless you, it's absolutely horrific isn't it. Honestly, I'd much rather have ongoing pain than sickness and feeling like this! If I make it to full term, I know I will never do this again and I'm only 6 weeks so it's going to get worse! I'm not sure what they prescribed but I'll let you know in the morning. It's an antiemetic of some type and they said to try it for 24 hours and see how it goes. I just want to feel normal again!

OP posts:
MrsRosaline · 20/12/2021 20:50

@hoola23 I think they usually start with cyclizine. Hope it works for you 🤞🏻 Sending you all the love in the world; it's an awful thing to have to go through. It is the one thing I'm very scared of, and I'm just hoping if/when I do conceive again it's not as bad as it was last time!
