@sunbird24 I am so sorry for your loss 💗💗 have they done recurrent miscarriage testing on you?

A lady in another chat had 5 miscarriages and they realised that her thyroid levels were slightly too high (within normal ranges for life but slightly too high for ttc)

Annny27 · 07/01/2022 13:27

Meant to say she has been on medication and has had a successful pregnancy now *

Motherofkittens28 · 07/01/2022 14:09

@Sunbird24 if you get to the point where you want to try again and have the funds I'd recommend ARGC. They do so much testing on you, I've been on thyroid meds, blood thinner and extra progesterone since 4/5 weeks for this pregnancy. They do a lot of immune testing to figure out why you aren't getting pregnant/are losing early pregnancies and then treat accordingly. So many people have had multiple failed rounds elsewhere and then success at ARGC. I'm not really a good example because of our miracle pregnancy but I felt so much better having all the tests and checks to (hopefully) be sure our miracle makes it to term. It was a world away from the monitoring with my two ivf rounds at Wessex.

Thank you all, it means a lot to read your messages. I’m just back from the EPU, got surgery booked for next Friday. I had a good chat with a lovely nurse about tests etc, and she checked what I had after the second one - turns out I had some but not all of the ones they recommend so she’s done the whole lot again for me.
I am going to try again as I still have 2 embryos (a day 5 and a day 6), and I may get them both put in together without waiting for the genetic testing to come back in this one. Might sound a bit mad but there’s nothing to be done if they’re not genetically sound, at least I’ll have had the other test results so if there’s a clotting factor or something else then we can do something about that. Anyway, rambling a bit now, but really hoping everyone else is doing ok!

polejunkie · 07/01/2022 14:23

@Sunbird24 I’m so sad to read your latest update, wishing you so much love and luck with your remaining embryos - mad or not do what’s best for you, after all you’ve been through I pray you get your happy ever after 🌈 x

becarefuloutthere · 07/01/2022 17:16

@Sunbird24 so sorry to hear of your news but I'm glad you've had a useful chat and have a path forwards. Take care 💕

paintfairy · 07/01/2022 17:46

@Sunbird24 I'm glad they are doing tests. Really it would be good to find out a reason, moving forwards, so hopefully it can then be addressed. So that you WILL get your baby. 💐

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/01/2022 08:18

@crazycatlady1981 sounds like it's all go for you there!

@Sunbird24 I'm so sorry this is happening to you again 😞 take care of yourself and know we are here whenever you need us. Does sound like you have a good plan in place though 🤞🏻

@Marvellouslymadmum how's things with you lovely? Any further forward on getting a lap for suspected endo/adeno? Mri scans can show adeno if they think it's that x

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/01/2022 10:28

@becarefuloutthere hiya I'm ok thank you, how are you getting on? I'm in limbo land still. The adeno was diagnosed by ultrasound scan about 6 months ago but the consultant wanted to wait until after clomid for anything else. Only trouble is my first clomid cycle was 60 days long! Im cd20 on the second one now high opk at the moment but that doesn't always mean anything going by last month. Creeping toward 43 and feeling increasing defeated on the ttc journey. Im hoping when I speak to her on 25th and tell her that rather than three cycles I've just about managed two neither of which worked as they should she will up the dose!

Hello all! Just wanted to say I wish all you lovely ladies luck in 2022 and hope that you all get those BFPs that you deserve.
I'm officially a graduate of the donkey bus now as little on has arrived on the 6th, but I genuinely hope you all get there. As someone who was on this group for 18 months TTC I know how disheartening it can be.
Stay strong, and wishing you all the best for the future.

becarefuloutthere · 09/01/2022 19:03

@Theawkwardblonde I've been wondering whether you had yours yet. Wonderful news, so pleased all went well and thank you for letting us know. All the best with your new bundle of joy 🤩
@Marvellouslymadmum yeah I'm ok too thanks. 34 weeks on Tuesday 😱
Ah I see. I hope she does too. She can't keep you waiting on n on! Not too long to wait for the appointment either so that's good 👍🏾

polejunkie · 10/01/2022 09:38

Massive congratulations to you @Theawkwardblonde what a wonderful way to start the year, enjoy every minute - also a positive for all those ladies on here still on their ttc journey x

paintfairy · 10/01/2022 11:22

@Theawkwardblonde congratulations! 🥳Great update.

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/01/2022 12:56

@Theawkwardblonde aww congratulations that's absolutely wonderful news!!

@becarefuloutthere is it starting to get scary now? Glad everything's going well for you. I will definitely be kicking up a stink if she dismisses me again!

Motherofkittens28 · 10/01/2022 15:09

Such wonderful news @Theawkwardblonde! What did you have in the end? Great that it wasn't too close to Christmas as well xx

Theawkwardblonde · 10/01/2022 15:17

Thanks for the kind messages - I do hope my news wasn't too upsetting for anyone, just wanted to share a positive outcome of a long time donkey.
We had a little girl. It was lovely keeping the sex a surprise until birth (unfortunately not giving name away of her due to my job) but she's doing fab. ☺️

paintfairy · 10/01/2022 16:24

@Sunbird24 how are you now? 💐

Sunbird24 · 10/01/2022 16:45

Hey @paintfairy, I’m having my PCR in the morning, then I have to isolate until my surgery on Friday so I’m all stocked up on unhealthy snacks (big tubs of Quality Street are £2.50 in Sainsburys if anyone’s interested)
Finally managed to tell my mum yesterday, which was really hard. I’m still thinking about something as a memory token (maybe a piece of jewellery with the birthstones from their due dates), but I think I want to wait until my journey is over, whichever way that is, as if I do something for all the losses so far it would be too difficult to add another one, or worst case two.

paintfairy · 10/01/2022 17:21

@Sunbird24 stocking up sounds good! I can imagine it was hard telling your mum, but you need the support. I hope you do have people around you to lean on? I hope everything goes well this week xxx

becarefuloutthere · 10/01/2022 17:31

@Marvellouslymadmum a bit yeah. Doing Nct classes now and that's making me it scarily real! Thanks, I have my 36 week scan same day as your appointment so let's hope it's a good day all round!
@Theawkwardblonde great to hear she's doing well, hope you are too! I'm also having a girl, can't wait!
@Sunbird24 good luck for Friday! Nice idea about the mementos 💕 I'm glad you've told your mum and I hope you have plenty of support around you xx

crazycatlady1981 · 10/01/2022 22:43

Congratulations @Theawkwardblonde so lovely to hear your news! 💕

@becarefuloutthere wow! Not long to go now! So excited for you! 😊

@kerrym87 yep we’ll be buddies! 😬Although I’m long protocol so I think my EC will be around mid Feb. I expect yours is probably earlier on short protocol? 🤔 What drugs are you on? I’ve got the same as my last cycle, buserelin, ovaleap and menopur.

@Sunbird24 will be thinking of you on Friday 💕 good idea to get the snacks in! Sending lots of love xxx

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/01/2022 00:00

@Theawkwardblonde not upsetting at all, gives me hope!!

@Sunbird24 hope everything goes well with the surgery xx

@becarefuloutthere oh that's good! Yes hopefully it'll be a good day!

@crazycatlady1981 I find out today at clinic, ec around end Jan I think but all depends on how my pcos ovaries play! Wish they'd seen me earlier than about a week before I'll be starting drugs ....
Also putting this out to all as gona ask clinic about covid rules if a contact etc, so we're essentially shielding, but I'm still having acupuncture as supposed to help (zita West recommends) , both jabbed, he does lfts before i see him but not sure whether to just not do it to be xtra safe. Both wearing masks and it really helps with digestive issues, pain and stress. Advice from clinic might make it a clear decision.

thislittlebird · 11/01/2022 16:50

@Sunbird24 sorry to hear your news but sending best wishes for Friday, I hope it goes ok. 💜

@kerrym87 my clinic are seeing me right before or after I start the meds, it’s a bit weird. I’m still going to have acupuncture. It’s a bit of a risk I guess, but I’m isolating otherwise, I’ll wear a mask and I feel like I need the help right now, I’m struggling with bad anxiety around all this.

I get my meds delivered on Friday, gonal f, fyremadel, ovitrelle and cyclogest. Finally a sharps bin to dispose of my old ovitrelle needles that no one would take 🙃
